Reliance Jio - Pan India 4G / LTE network
amitnsonu replied to Arun's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
what exactly this mean? can the existing users of RCDMA use 4g on unlimited plans like 949 Prepain or 1299 postpaid? Or the service will be launched differently from current RCDMA. why no circle like Delhi NCR and UPwest? -

guys I think this topic should also be on forum so that we know if the purpose of MNP is fulfiled by our new network or not.. Hope every body will get benefitted my Post MNP experience experience is here MNP done : 1 April 2011 (No april fool) operators : RCDMA to Aircel (Delhi) Reason : better network with affordable plans first I was thinking of vodafone (really a king among all networks IMHO) but it was too costly in postpaid, then i decided to go with aircel with plan SIMPLE VALUE 499 details: Rent 499 free airtime local/std/ onnet roaming : 1000 minutes free sms local/std : 2500 sms data : upto 2 gb in home circle only (although i have noticed they have not charged me for roaming data) caller tunes free after free usage call rate : 1p/sec std/local/onnet roaming sms : 30 p local, 60p std i was not getting proper network with RCDMA in basement and facing call drops even at 5th floor, called and mailed RCOM several times regarding this but no solution. with aircel, i m getting proper network everywhere, no call drops till now. when my 2 billing cycles get completed on 27 may, then again I thought of bargaining with aircel too, sent port out sms..... no call back from aircel, but i m getting noticed from unbilled usage that they are giving me 25% discount from 27 may i.e. effective rental 374.25 Rs Per month :Sorprendido:... consumer is really king now... thats from my side, waiting for others opinion

I ported out of relaince cdma network in 2011 because of network issue as well as non availability of affordable handsets. Now I am back on RCDMA because of failure of GSM network at my place. RCDMA is working here as a charm however evdo speed is not more than 600 kbps. Handset availabilty is far more better than 2011. Now I am using Droid Maxx with GSM/CDMA capability on single sim which we couldnt imagine in 2011. Data prices are as important as 3g/4g network, which in current scenario are simply very high. I have consumed 8 GB in my last billing cycle on RCDMA network, which may have cost me min. 1000/- on 3G.

The problem is unbearable now. We recently shifted to 11th floor apartment (total floors 14), and the problem of network across the providers here. I have tested Vodafone, Idea, Reliance GSM, Airtel till date. too much voice breaking and call dropping. I also activated the landline beacuse of this problem but without mobile, it is very painful. surprisingly on ground floor there is no problem at all or on lower floors. complaints to the vodafone but they are still working on it. Any solution to this guys? should I try a CDMA provider ?

Network problem (GSM) on higher floor
amitnsonu replied to amitnsonu's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
forgot yo post the cdma experience. so I bought a Motorola droid maxx (GSM/CDMA single sim) and a reliance prepaid sim. There was no voice breaking, no call drop on any floor as against GSM network. Great relief for me. I have ported my number to reliance cdma with advance rental plan of 16999/-. Data speed in evdo is not more than 600 kbps.- 8 replies

Cricket ZTE Engage N8000 Fluctuating Signal in RUIM Mode and Battery Drain
amitnsonu replied to kannan.t's topic in Other handsets
I am also facing same problem. This phone is not good at signals, shows very poor signals and as result battery drains very fast. Any solution to this? -
I have observed that at a given place and time, if we use reliance evdo in phone and data card, phone will give you more speed compared to data card. Anyone else notice this ?

I have heard that Rcom is also going to launch 4g on CDMA. Is it true?

I also faced the activation problem on my droid maxx, but I simply went to reliance store which is 4-5 km from my residence and activated the number on a basic phone.

Bought a moto droid maxx Verizon with intentions of using rev b on it. Purchased a new CDMA reliance omh connection of recr uc06 . HSD activated through SMS. No clue about rev b? Speed is around 512 to 700 kbps so it must be rev a. -
Oh aditya ji, I have read those reviews. while the star rating is good but some reviews are really bad. I am now more inclined towards HTC M7 rev b. Not finding a budget (13-14k) listing on ebay.
