I certainly think it cant and wont replace functionality of laptop but definately will compliment business/students/professionals user class.. As it has in-build word, exel, ppt, IE, media player.. So downloading attachments would b a problem (frm ur email).. Only one thong i am skeptical abt is UTStarcom as a company.. As in is UTStarcom as good as O2, HP or Imate.. Can any one thro light.. Regarding product quality of this company.. CHeers!!

I think its fairly priced at around 30k.. coz GSM counterparrts like O2, HP, Imate are equally priced.. O2 Atom -- 33,000 HP IPAQ-- 34500 Imate-- 31990 The best part is v ll get internet speed upto 144 kbps.. much higher thn GSM.. My dad is using O2 on airtel, he gets pathetic speed.. CHeers!! NEW DELHI: Cellular services provider, Idea on Friday launched a new tariff plan for its pre-paid subscribers, under which it will offer cheaper calls between between 11 pm and 7 am. The company would charge Rs 46 rental along with the monthly recharge coupon and would provide free calls in the home network between 11 pm and 7 am, Idea said in a release. The plan would also offer reduced STD rates of 99 paisa per minute and local mobile calls at 49 paisa per minute during these hours, the release said. "The launch of Night call recharge is in line with our promise of providing world class products and services at affordable costs to our customers," Idea Cellular Limited COO and Delhi Circle Head Rajendra Chourasia said. I agree 100%!! Hutch network is WORST.. I m using 2 cellphones viz. hutch n reliance.. hutch network's call drop rates, network failure rates in mumbai circle is very high compared to reliance... CHeers!

Reliance Comm launches Mblogging applications Rajesh S Kurup / Mumbai October 12, 2006 Reliance Communications has launched mobile blogging (moblogging) — an extension of web blogging — and intends to bring its eight million R-World users to use the service. The company has tied-up with value-added services provider IMI Mobile toward this end. Moblogging is an extension of web blogging and the only difference is that the blogger can update his site over a mobile phone. Rediff has a Moblogging service which it launched around April this year. A few print media sites too have initiated moblogging for their news services. Reliance Communications President (Applications, Solutions and Content Group) Mahesh Prasad said the services were soft-launched on Monday. The company has also received over 900 registrations during the last two days. “Web blogging has taken the Internet user community by storm and with the launch of mblogging, we are taking blogging one step ahead. The mobile phone community outnumbers the computer users in the country, and cell phones are much convenient to user rather than a computer,” he said. To avail the service, a Reliance Communications subscriber has to MMS pictures or videos to short code 1234 with the keyword mblog. When will reliance stop launching these sub/below Rs. 2500 phones.. I hav nothing against them, but not high end phones launched (except N6265) that too after soo many yrs.. Its GSM-GSM sharing i guess.. Reliance is very "shaana" coz they dont have wide GSM reach.. they r sharing with bharti.. I think reliance will benifit more for this aggreement rather than bharti.. cheers!!

New Delhi, September 14: India's top CDMA-based mobile services provider, Reliance Communications Ltd, said on Thursday it had sought 3G spectrum from the government to test services and equipment. Reliance's move comes after India allowed four major carriers, including top-ranked Bharti Airtel Ltd, to conduct indoor trials of third-generation mobile services. A Reliance official said the firm had sought 3G spectrum for 13 of the 23 circles or zones that make up India's mobile industry, the world's fastest-growing wireless services market. Carriers can offer services such as faster Internet access, movies on demand and high-end online gaming on the 3G spectrum. Reliance Communications also offers mobile facilities based on the GSM platform. Soaring growth has led to a paucity of bandwidth in large cities. Carriers have requested the government to allot fresh frequencies in 3G and other bands to ease congestion. At present most of the spectrum is issued for 2G and 2.5G band as India remains a predominantly voice market. But companies are ramping up high margin value added services as voice tariffs, already the lowest in the world, are commoditised. Carriers that were issued 3G spectrum earlier for tests include state-run telecoms firms Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd, and private firms Bharti Airtel, 30.8 per cent owned by Singapore Telecommunications Ltd, and Hutchison Essar Ltd. India plans to allot spectrum for 3G band later this year, and has appointed a panel to look into pricing and allocation. The ministry has not set a dateline for the launch of 3G services. By what i understand, reliance will continue CDMA for its landline and current users.. However, it will pursure aggressively for GSM mobile.. Also, it might give some great deals to current CDMA customers to convert into GSM.. cheers!

But Airtel network is poor, atleast in mumbai.. call drops, voive cracking is so common on almost every call.. cheers!!

Thanks monji.. Nokia is know for "low-quality" products.. N6265 is on of them Hi Vaibhav, Visit Nokia Care Center at Phoenix Mills. They will let u know if it is solvable instantly. Usually they keep handset for 8 days and give u back if repaired. If it goes for replacement then it takes 1 month and may be more. So, be prepared for getting ur number transfered to some other handset. I just passed through the phase as my N6265 camera was not working. Had a tough time but now guess am out of the first phase of trouble. Monji
