I have the same problem. Looks like the Huawei 168c has a trojan embedded in one of the exe files that are part of the installation. ResetDevice.exe has the trojan Generic16.BXSH - this was detected by AVG on my machine. This will lead to a compromised machine, excessive bandwidth usage (your machine may be a staging post for illegal file swapping).
My machine would freeze frequently every time I used the Huawei 168c on my earlier machine, till I stopped using it completely. I've now used it today on another machine and the trojan was detected.
