Hi KShah, As per trai they cannot force us to use the handset they sell. Coz i remember after their launch there was a big hue and cry about bundling of high cost handset. They then as per the directive of the regulator had to provide activation for other handset. If u remember they had provided seperate plan for that. But for that to happen someone has to raise their voice and complain to TRAI. I guess all of us should get together and make a complaint. regards Raju Probably CDMA operators has different conditions, they have to provide handsets too. AFAIK

Hi Guys !! I strongly support the move by the members for supporting foreign ESN. But as far as i think, according to TRAI service provider cannot force the consumer to buy handsets from them. Hi Where have all our heroes gone, plz need some from our expert panel I am unable to revert back from WM6 to Hetals AKU 3.5 F version. I get an error message "The device is not designed for the ROM" or "101 Connection Error". The purpose of moving back to an older ROM to have stability as WM6 is Highly unstable on my PPC6700. Friends please help me to get back to the older system. Also am facing a problem of no ringtone on my PPC 6700. I have found that there is difference in the registery of my other 6700. Can anyone tell me how to completely re-load the system so as to have a stable ROM C'mon guys & experts you guidance is required Regards Raju

At present none of the handset from USA are Ruim enabled. Instead trygetting RUIM enabled handset from within this group, there are some posting in the BUY & Sell. For RUIM cards u can go to "The Mobile Store and Purchase them for Rs15-Rs25, I just bought one recently. Raj section

It has browser and e-mail facility but i am unable to configure it for using R-World, Net Browsing & E-mail. Hi Hetal, I currently own PPC 6700 and am considering a shift to PPC 6800/Mogul as it is available with RUIM slot and at a decent price. Can u tell me how is it better than the PPC 6700 and how good is the battery life. Also it it really worth shifting to the MOGUL/PPC 6800. Have u tried using the GPS on it. In your opnion will the Mogul with RUIM work on the Reliance network. Need your advice regards Raj

I am using RUIM enabled 6255 from China. Just go the Webworld or any secondary shop buy a ruim card use Handset Change Card (HCC) to transfer number from the existing to 6255. And you are on !! However, u may not be able to use R-world as the software is not pre-configured. We have to ask the stalwarts here to help us out for that. Regards Raju

Hi !! Has anyone used the push mail on PPC 6700. Is it possible to have real time emails like the Blackberry. How do i set up push mail on the corporate account and web account(Yahoo/gmail etc.) for real time access to incoming mails. Hi !! I have 2 PPC one with AKU 3.5 F and the other with AKU 2.2 with Hetal's EXT ROM. The problem is i am not able to send and recieve MMS in either of them. When some one sends me an MMS I get the message with links to Reliance's MMS server for the MMS file. Can any experts from the forum help Thanking you in anticipation Raj
