and can you install apps on the phone using mobimb??

Hope you are not prepending the user name/passwd with a zero cause neither myself or any friend i know who uses rconnect has ever faced a similar problem like this. Secondly guys am really pissed at reliance everything is working fine except for the frequent disconnection. Early morning hours i can connect for 10-15 minutes but late at nights its difficult to keep the connection alive for more then 5 minutes. I tried the ping app with the gateway IP, and also with ;+cta=240 init string but GOD DAMN THE CONNECTION DOESNT WORKS WELL. How can i fix this - koi hain jo bata sake plzzzzzzzz how to stay online for atleast an hour with out any hitch.

Tomorrow when 6265 will be released and when 6255 is available for 8K or less there will be another freakin 6*** that will make you drool and think :'( nahi this is the one should i wait a lil longer?. You should decide first ki what all features you require in a fone that will suffice for another 1-2 years keeping in mind your budget constraints. Can you do currently or you seriously need another fone?. i don't want to sound like a mgr but :'( its you who have to decide baki rest in peace

36530[/snapback] hi there thanks for the advice and telephonic discussion . i gave up 3125 and bought 6255. i could connect to rconnect with bluetooth with 230kbps of speed like a broadband. great phone. still i feel the size is large. the bluetooth works fine. 36590[/snapback] Guys i tried the latest demo v 2.5.2 of mobimb and it detected the fone correctly, the older version such as 2.4 detected it as nokia 1190 or something. Please post back if you could install any freakin games successfully on the handset using MOBIMB.

can you please confirm the init string of your bluetooth DUN modem? If you are using nokia pc suite it will always reset it back to non packet mode.

Thanks for the link. ( I tried the ping app but to no avail. Previously i used to get disconnected once an hour but now its less then 5 minutes which is not at all acceptable. I called up Reliance customer care and they put me onto RConnect Tech support. When i told em about the problem, he said have you tried "GOOGLE"? I was life wtf? Later on explaining the problem he noted down my address and landmark and told he'll escalate the problem. Plez if any one knows a way out of the frequent disconnect problem please post the solution. cheers nitro

now that i can connect to the net. i realise that i frequently get disconnected as and when the fone goes into dormant mode. Is there any way i can stop the fone going into dormant mode, i searched on the forums and found that using the init string cta=240 i can avoid but some how it doesn't works for me. any pointers please?

guys am unable to install apps/games. am currently looking at alternative way to install it. in case if some one can help/come-up with any way. plz let us know. cheers nitro

Guys, I finally managed to get connected to the net using bluetooth and 6255 . I used the generic modem drivers available at the 6255 nokia's site. I had to download and install the latest IVT BlueSoleil setup to work with my Win2k3 lap. I also found that nokia pc suite sets the modem init string to AT which doesn't work, the init string for the 6255 can be left null or +crm=1;+cso=33 to set the data packet (read this on geekzone or someplace). The net exp is a lil slightly better (or prolly cause i had enough playing with bluetooth that now i feel its fast ... ok this was just for the kicks ). Answering a few of your questions I don't see the battery getting heated up even after talking for 1 hrs continously. I took some snaps from the camera in case if you are interested mail me to daftpunkrox@gmail.com i'll mail the pic back for your reference (am in office so can't upload or check my mails - darn websense). I am playing with my fone since last three days and so far saw three paranormal activities i.e. bugs (a) Yesterday twice i saw my phone getting disconnected from the reliance network... the fone was showin "connecting to the network". at the same time my colleagues with reliance had full signal strength. after i restarted it was working just fine. ( while playing a media video file if i scroll down to a gif image the phone dies for 5 seconds and comes back. © When bluetooth is enabled i can't receive the phone call (can anyone please confirm if this by design and expected or am i seeing (a) again? Also i could connect the fatso phone using the blue tooth dongle and nokia's pc suite but couldn't freakin connect to the net via bluetooth. Any ideas/pointers/URLs as to how to do it? I tried using the DUN modem/Nokia Generic Modem 2000/Nokia 7710 bluetooth modem. Do i need to do anything extra? I do not want to invest 1400 RS for original DKU2 cable to connect to the net, the dealers here are saying the local DKU2 cable won't work either? Can some one please post if this is for real? or some body has had any luck with local DKU2 cables? thanks guys

I agree to it, i could take out my RD2030 from my denim with ease but this fone is a bit fatso and the antenna is also a pain. I didn't see any menus in RWorld where i could download new tones and stuff, but other RWorld features are working just fine. sms length is 160 chars Camera is okie tokie its 0.3 mega pixel nothing great. i haven't played much with the movie/pics size will check back and update you guys. Rest the phone has lots of good features and a worth buy for its price

Guys i bought the phone here @ bangalore for 12620 and now looking for a DKU2 cable, can some one guide me where i can buy a cheap cable that will work just fine. Is it okay to buy a cheap one? Besides if any one want to know any detail lemme know. The fone rox the only down side i see are Its bit fat and has an antenna. Will try to logon to net once i get the cable. Rest waiting for haxors to find out more features of this set.
