Even in Punjab they are not covering Cities from where they can get Good Revenues.

I am thinking of purchasing a netbook. With google I found Atom N450 in Dell & Asus. Also found Dell 11Z. Now before purchasing I thoght to ge a valuable advise from rimwebians. My Budget max 20K. Will use it along with my Desktop. Basic purpose is ease to access Data, Web surfing, Excel & Word when desktop is not accessible either I am away from it or there is a power failure. Ease to carry & small on pocket. My Shortlist includes Dell Inspiron Mini 10 (Atom N450), Dell 11Z, Asus 1005PE. I prefered Dell 11Z. Pls suggest.

Even Amritsar is with ZTE. Is their some problem between ZTE & Reliance.

In Punjab I think Reliance CDMA network is maintained by Alcatel & ZTE. Alcatel is providing EVDO but ZTE is not providing EVDOin any of areas handled by it. Jalandhar & Hoshiarpur are handled by ZTE so no EVDO. ZTE is also handing TATA in Jalandhar, EVDO service of TATA in available there. I don't know why Reliance is not providing EVDO services in Jalandhar & Hoshiarpur City. Both have very good demand for EVDO, a good nnumber of Broadband users as its the NRI belt. Recently WI5 has alsolaunched services in Hoshiarpur.

When will they launch in Hoshiarpur, Punjab

I have purchased an unlocked EC325. Installed the software. I am able to send SMS and make calls using Data card & Huawei Software but I am unable to connect to internet. I am getting error message Connection could not be established to the remote computer so the port used for this connection was closed. Pls guide.

What about launch in other cities.

I am unable to use 3G in Punjab. Getting signal in manual search but failing to register.

My vote is for Mufaddal. Always ready for help.

In My area TATA 3G & Cellone are only shown.

Some Lower Rental Plans for 1X on mobile must be introduced having Rentals around Rs50/- and free data about 2GB. Rentals of 199 is too much. Reliance must have competitive Plans in RCDMA.

I am on rimweb from 2004 in this 6 years Journey Rimweb & its members including me have changed a lot. All of us learnt a lot and have made profits directly or indirectly be it tariff or handset. So its not a blame game. I remember I visited RIMWEB while searching for Ringtones for my N191. At that time every help was FREE. This days you ask for help many members ask for 1K for their Expertise. It was around April 2004 when selling started on large scale "MOGUL". These days majority of People know rimweb for buying imported handsets for Reliance even Google gives rimweb preference. Now it even has Seller/ Buyer Feedback Ratings similar to ebay. But still I visit Rimweb daily for getting various types of Help and Updates.

what restrictive policies u talking about ?? the support u get from sellers here is unmatched people will go and pay 40000rs for official handsets with warranty , do u ever go and ask the compnay when u have doubts ?? do they answer your querries ?? so they troubleshoot you when u in trouble ??? no they dont u get cheap sets from here at half the price , plus support at each and every step in mins of asking , still u say its problem Dear: 1. Handsets sold here are not for noble cause you can find Juke was sold for 3500, 4000, 4500, 5200 etc. It was not due to variation in Price of Handset or Change i Dollar conversion rate but something else. 2. It has been mentioned in some post people having Contacts with Reliance so spl only enjoy. Costly Data on RCDMA can not be ignored 3. Many people got refurnished Blackberry on name of New. 4. Its not possible for majority to gamble for 25K. Eg I had some problem in my X6 (16K) got it replace by Nokia. If I would have purchased from so called sellers I would have wasted 16K. So warranty is essesntial anything can happen. 5. I really appreciate sellers support on sale of new Handsets.

^^^ I am using RCDMA from Sept 2003 purchased in DAPO offer but now after MNP I am planning to exit RCDMA. Now I don't like CDMA because: 1. Handset Choice Limited. For High End handsets you need to wait for Hack/ Crack, courier and if it does not work another worry. Need to pay before getting Handset, some people even got refurnished instead of New. Purchasing handset is itself a Problem. Warranty is never applicable 2. Data Tariff Plan RCDMA data Plans (On Mobile) are costly even compared to RGSM. At home max use Broadband 3. Handset Resale Its very difficult to sale a used CDMA handset except if you are a Professional Seller. In case of GSM handset options are infinite. Almost every shopkeeper offers you upgrade. He will purchase your old handset and provide a discount on new. YOu can see handset as well working Demo before making payment. YOu exactly know what you are paying for.

Rating of Handsets always depend upon Budget and requirements.

I agree with aalok I bought battery foe HTC S720 from GEB it was not having good performance, probably used. Few days ago I bought from 20north its giving me good results. But difference in Price for both was about Rs 50 only. But in handset deals price difference with rimweb sellers is more than 4K. I think this 4K is for Hack & Crack registration with Reliance etc.....

In Punjab HFCL has Rs444 unlimited plan with speed upto 300kbps

"Adieu RCDMA" Very soon Reliance will hear same from all customers. I think they also want to hear same to stop maintainace and other expenses on RCDMA and concentrate on RGSM. @kshah Very correct this Plan is just to wait till MNP. EVDO on Mobile is not of much use with 200 MB data.

Costly option. Something like TATA Rs 50/- 1 GB data free is best & sufficient on mobile.

Its a great move. Why do you want new connection? " OFFERS" MNP is going to be the solution. All the new customers that are being added are fake. People are just purchasing connection for intial offer. I myself have few GSM numbers which I have used except for 1-2 days. It has been recently reported that BSNL added Max Customers actual reason is Dealers gave free Connection with Rs 50 talktime. People purchased more than 3 connections in single turn. I think all rimweb memebers are having more than 2 spare SIMs.
