LG 2030 has lock feature. complete phone can be locked by a single code. as far color handsets are concerned i am not sure but think 7230 has this feature. MMS to other mobiles is possible on 6000 & 6130 as they support native MMS.

SWAP is allowed by RIM for users with handsets purchased under upfront. WW guy told me even Chairman office confirmed this. But ur existing handset will be activated with a new number and new CAF number. you can sell it, convert to prepaid ur choice. thanx ananth good advice. Just 3 months ago i paid RIM Rs 8651/-. so not being permitted by parents to do so. actually this is legal and expensive. but in the mean time i have started to put money in my piggy. hope it fills soon and gets me LG 6000 or LG 7230. is there any cheap other way.

ON RIM i have free SMS. which GSM provides this. on RWORLD i check my mail. when i have power supply then i have option for PC. i am familiar with battery usage for CDMA handsets. with almost same usage I have used Samsung N191 and LG RD 2030. battery response given by GTRAN is very much inferior when compared to them. now u will say it's a color handset. it's color but handset manufacturers must provide battery suitable for their product. Samsung color comes with Enhanced battery as well as standard battery. even 7230 gives better response. for battery don't blame reliance. it comes from GTRAN. Maturity comes from pocket you are right. but usage comes from requirements. By aged, maturity I just meant to talk about age factor. Please don’t misunderstand me. I enjoy SMS but many aged, elders known to me use SMS rarely.

I think u people are matured. According to me all college studs enjoy SMS most. I and my friends like SMS a lot. You can never compare SMS with calls. There are many things like jokes etc which have there own fun when shared as SMS. They lost their importance when you share them orally. Every day I send and receive almost 50 SMS. You are right, now calls are much cheaper than SMS. But on GTran receiving and making calls is more dangerous. When ever you get a call you get worried about battery. I very honestly tell you an actual fact. Whenever I get a call and I have charger with me. I prefer to put phone on charge. Rworld has got many interesting things like MMS, Rsurf, Web mail etc. Rworld is free and if it remains free I will use Rworld to my max. I even suggest others to use Rworld you are indirectly paying for it. I got GTran for 12K. In my view GTran is good at 6k not as a mobile but as a FWP.

This RCV is also applicable for post paid users? Will it be of any use to cu in plans 149, 249 etc? If yes, then what is the need to pay Rent of Rs 149/-. Why doesn’t reliance reduce the actual tariff plan instead of giving such offers?

yes pic loading and midi files loading is best in GTRAN. better to say it is only handset on Reliance network with these features.

RUIM is better than the existing system used by Reliance. RUIM or SIM system is preferred all over world and even Reliance knows this but to keep the customers hooked non RUIM system is better. Recently there have been many complaints regarding the use of same number on two handsets. That is two people sharing same number and same bill. Some did knowingly but some suffered loss in this. Even police cases have been registered. Don’t ask how this is possible because it’s illegal to discuss such things. But one has to be super master to do this. RUIM and SIM based handsets are free from such bugs. Be careful when you give your handset to ASC or to your friend.

The concept of virtual RUIM will be applicable only to transfer your existing number to RUIM or to a non RUIM based handset. Till date companies are manufacturing non RUIM based handset just because Reliance purchases handsets in bulk. The companies like Nokia, Motorola and GTran have already working with RUIM based handsets. They will never introduce non RUIM based handsets in open market jus for 1 company. So in coming days I expect RUIM based handsets. This will also increase the competition b/w the CDMA players.

These days every handset is being compared with GTran I think it’s bcz of the exclusive features of GTran. PC Sync of the GTran makes it one of the most exclusive handset available on Reliance network till date. Even PC Sync of LG 7230 is nothing in front of GTran. Handset has few bugs like SMS bug but even 7230 suffer from it. 7130 has got a more severe SMS bug. Battery is not a much problem. Mr. Vikas Kaul has suggested a method to improve battery and it helps a lot. I have almost a constant usage of mobile every day. Earlier I have used 2030. I used to switch it on 8 AM fully charged and was required to put it on charge next day at 4 PM. In case of GTran switched on 8 AM has to be charged at 10 PM same day. But second battery solves the purpose. There is no reason to keep second battery closed in pack after all the handset has to be changed after a year or so. Camera of GTran is not worth to purchase. If you want camera then you should purchase some other model. But I am ready to use GTran camera if some one wants to gift me or sell it for about Rs 600/-. Speaker phone of 6130 is good but you will never use it. I purchased cordless speaker phone few years ago but hv never used it. Some people were aware of severe bugs in LG 7130 but they never highlighted them over here. If someone purchases LG 6130 he must try to mention the max bugs in handset. There is no use of hiding bugs. It helps others a lot to make decision.

why virtual SIM? why not RUIM? what abt those who r paying handset installments

The USB data cable provided with handset does not support charging while using RCONNECT. Is it possible to charge GTran while using RConnect.

Today I had a look over the handset at ww. It has really got an attractive sexy look. Handset cost is not finalized. It will cost Rs 6500 – Rs 6999/-. Features had already been enlisted over here. People reading this over her will of course like PC compatibility. Till date there is no info regarding PC Sync for this handset hope 4 best. Handset cost Rs 6999 (Approx) Data Cable Rs 1200 (Approx) Extra Battery Rs 1500 (Approx) Total cost Rs 9699 (Approx) Thus cost is equivalent to LG 7230. Therefore cost will not play major role in choice of handset but features will. Native MMS and speaker phone are really interesting when compared to 7230. In 7230 camcorder is more interesting.

yes, ashok is correct. airtel is offering same in punjab but speed is very poor. it's not broadband.
