I was charging the battery for 12 Hrs second time but after 11 Hrs I was amazed to see the message “Charging… Phone is switched off”. I immediately switched off the charging and switching on the phone I found phone showing all the battery bars. Please tell me reason for this.

GTran is RUIM enabled handset. tata is now intriducing RUIM based handsets. Can we use GTran on TATA. i wnat to ask technically not concerned with reliance policy or contract or rules.

Hi To use the S/W You need a Serial cable and that cable is available only at ASC's. If you are havong problem in Chandigarh, Go to nearest WW. They will try to give u a standby till the time the lock of your handset is opened and send back to you. 14885[/snapback] Making a serial data cable is a simple job. In B.Tech. I did a project on optical data cable for mobile. I just need one circuit diagram I will construct it myself. You just provide one circuit diagram using RS 232 or simply the pin diagram for the port at the phone input. If not possible then no problem I will make it myself. But you please provide me unlocking software.

NO, its possible with min hardware change. New hardware costs just 100. only labor charges are high. the person abt whom I talked above is not ready to do it for others. but says you can buy the project for 5000/- including student discount.

No, it does not support. some people hv designed their own method as given in technical section.

They can now seek redressal from the Telecom Disputes Settlement & Appellate Tribunal . But there is a rider. The TDSAT will adjudicate only on complaints between a group of consumers and a service provider. Individual complaints will not be entertained by TDSAT. This was revealed at a seminar on "Dispute Resolution Mechanism in Telecom Sector in India" organised by TDSAT in Mumbai on Saturday. While this provision has always existed, it is not known commonly among consumers. PR Dasgupta, former member of TDSAT said that there was no alternative to clarity on enunciation of policies which should be free of "fashionable jargons". He suggested that a development council including representatives from persons associated with the telecom sector should be formed which should meet from time to time and discuss various related issues. The solicitor general of India, Goolam Vahanvati, spoke of the need to appreciate that the time of a specialised body like TDSAT is very valuable. "Increasingly, adjournments are sought since counsel is not available," he said. RL Dube, executive director, MTNL said: "Due to the confusion about rate plans, the operator with the simplest rates will find more takers." He also added that there is enough demand in the market place and operators do not need to worry about competition. There is a demand of 20 crore telephone lines. As of date, we have only 8 crore lines," he said. Others stressed for speedy resolution of disputes between service providers and the government or among service providers by TDSAT. Consumer complaints too need to be resolved quickly because the amount of time required to resolve a complaint was not worth the amount of money involved, pointed out Rajyalakshmi Rao, member, National Consumer Disputes Redressal Committee.

An executive from GTran intimated me that those are personal email id. So I delete them without any hesitation. If anyone has noted them then please remove them from your list. We should not try to mail our problems to personal email id of others.

In subforum of GTran service centre I have posted a list of email id of people concened with technical problems of GTran. Flood their email boxes with your complaint about SMS. But don’t forget to post the reply you get (Post only in SMS sub forum). This might help us to solve SMS problem. On GTran handset there are certain issues because of which I find GTran handset to be big problem. 1. Display of SMS. It does not support word wrap feature in SMS. Due to this it’s very difficult to read SMS. Earlier on Samsung N191 I used to enjoy reading and sending SMS but on GTran I hate even to receive an SMS. 2. While sending an SMS there are so many options like save as draft, save in outbox. These make sending an SMS time consuming task. These options should be in settings and user should be able to set them default like option available for Acknowledgement. 3. SMS inbox saves only 18 messages while it has got good memory to save more.

yes even now i am using rconnect. sms problem is not so severe. it just requires a software upgrade. even LG 7130 got a softwre upgrade for many of its bugs after 10 months. gtran is just abt 4 months old. but ringtones and pc sync software will make u love it and forget everything. it plays full song midi.

i asked by mail available at gtran india and got following reply has anyone tried this earlier? if yes post ur views. i am started it today.

Hv u stopped complaining to Chairman office? r u satisfied with facilities made available on GTran? Remember only repeated complaints can get us a solution. If u r thinking of exiting from GTran. It's not possible. and even in comoing days u will not be allowed to get ur money adjusted for other handsets. for new handset u will be required to pay the full amount.

If they want to make rworld paid they must add gmail and rediffmail. only then more users will be attracted towards webmail on rworld.

ask them for a waiver. say u will pay when they will give details of usage. talk to a senior person. i have many times got waivers on rconnect monthly subscription. reply for pratikmhatre just negotiate say that when u have not used why should i pay. in ur case u hv to decide solid negotiating points. ww Incharge hv authority to give waivers. if u r able to impress them then u will enjoy otherwise......
