i think it will be easy to arrange tata ruim. secondly with in a few months due to pressure from manufacturers handsets will be available in market and option will be with user. rworld software will be a problem.

ringtones are saving since 2nd Aug but mms inbox still does not open.

a few days before i was able to see new look of greeting but yesterday the greetings link disappeared and today appeared with same old view. i think they are making preparation for new services to provided when rworld will be paid.

Rim web is working very well but it will be much better if data is little bit more organized. In technical section we are sharing the ring tones and wallpaper which are in no way concerned with technical section. I suggest the administrators to add a section named Fun. Fun should have categories like Ring tones, wallpapers, Sms and such other entertainment which can be used on RIM. Ring tones must be classified into sub categories like midi, dat etc. To download attachments I use Gozilla. But it fails to capture the link. I have to disable gozilla to download files on rimweb.com If possible please enable the download of attachments by download managers.

Only the people who have made full payment of handset are the owner of handsets. People who purchased it under 3350, 6350, 4850, 501 are and are not going to be owners of handsets. What they are paying is club privilege charges not handset installment. Handset is free. The same thing applies to DAPO. It’s my suggestion that if you want to be owner get your handsets upgraded in suitable offer. Only Rworld software belongs to Reliance. Only owners can use the service of their choice on their handset. But they have to follow the exit policy.

Rworld will be fully functional on GTran by 15th Sept 04. i am also waiting for software upgrade. hope to get soon. those who can visit authorized service centres of Gtran should tell their problems at ASC. they can provide us help in some way i hv no GTran ASC in my city. so helpless.

RUIM is very much similar, almost exactly same to SIM in GSM. By changing the RUIM in the handset you can easily change the service provider. All those who have purchased the handsets by making full payment from Reliance are the owners of the handset and they can use handset with the service provider of their choice. Non RUIM supporting Handsets can also be converted to other operators but that involves a risk. Reliance does not authorize you to use their software for service provider other than Reliance. Only the Rworld software belongs to Reliance. Regarding the software we will discuss in another forum named Rworld software. In the Telecom market Reliance and TATA are to big service providers that will provide cheaper services as compared to others. Both support the CDMA technology. The handsets of the same model have features irrespective of Service provider. Only difference is in the print. E.g. on handset provided by Reliance its name is printed. In the coming days both Reliance and TATA will provide customers the option to buy handsets of their choice and purchase their RUIMS. Due to all these reasons I will advice everyone to prefer RUIM based handsets over others. With this it will easy and cheaper for you to change Service provider. For those who use International Roaming should prefer handsets supporting both GSM & CDMA handsets but presently they are not available in INDIA.

In last billing cycle I was in JOY 149. In this billing cycle I will be charged according to New Joy 149 or old Joy 149. Some people are saying to migrate to New Joy 149 I have to fill a plan migration form. Is it true or migration will be automatic?

only stock has ended in some city. actually in color hungama this was the most wanted phone. N191 also went out of stock but is now back, hope to GTRan soon. But GTran is available in some cities

GTRAN 4020 is RUIM based so hoe is it possible that Tata Indicom has become the first operator in the country to launch True Paid T-SIM (RUIM) enabled handsets.

Following are the new menus that are being added to RWORLD: Greetings: 1. Love 2. Speed 3. Devotional 4. Nature 5. Hot & New And a few more like this. Ring tones: 1. R tunes 2. Exclusive Other options till now are same. I was able to see them once but later they were again unavailable.

For opting to New Joy 149 plan migration form is to be filled. Even customers of Joy 149 have to fill a form to opt for New Joy 149. This was intimated to me by *333.

I have attached comparison file. Prepaid is now cheaper of Low usage as compared to Joy 149. • Joy 149 subscribers have the option of availing 99 paise/min tariff for calls to other mobile phones on additional payment of a monthly fee of Rs 25. With this reliance has made prepaid cheaper. Loyal customers like me have to suffer.

for calling GSM mobiles at Rs 0.99 you have to Rs 25 extra. so monthly commitment is Rs 224/-

everything has got some exceptional features and lack a few which others have. we have to choose the best for our requirements. Gita is beautiful but Rita is sexy. Sometimes you can't get both of them you have to choose. the same concept of girls apply for mobiles. TO Gtran you can directly add midi files as ringtone. Supports upto size of 1.44 MB sufficient for a complete song. no other handset supports this. this advantage will be most felt after 30th Sept 2004 when others will be required to pay approx Rs 10 for ringtones. to lg handsets many have added ringtones using bit pim. i too did it on LG 2030. if u have done it ask yourself do you get the quality u require. if honest then answer will be ofcourse no. u hv to cut midi file and many things to get in ur phone and still no satisfactory result. for my GTran many websites provides midi files for free. GTran has got a few problems related to RWORLD. those are only software issues. actual reason is LG 2030 is widely used and GTRan is owned by few users. i thimk my fellow GTran users are not complaining to Reliance. earlier i was unable to save ringtones from Rworld i comlained and now ringtones are very well working. Similarly MMS problem will get solved in next few days. but once Rworld gets paid all of us will forget to use Rworld. LG handsets are so common that holding a Gtran really makes you look exceptional. i am saying Gtran is best not because i own it. it's features availble in Gtran which have made me to say so. once a software upgrade upgrade is provided all problems will also get solved. hope this is sufficient for you to agree that till date Gtran is the best handset provided by reliance.

Now it has been a long time that MMS is not available on GTran. Even ICICI bank and MCoupons are not available. I have complained many times to the chairman office but they give simple response of assurance to provide soon but no action is visible till date. To me the action will mean result. Do you think Reliance will help us or we have to continue like this? I am now really frustrated with Reliance. Is there any other link by which we can complain to some higher authority or TRAI or Media-Newspapers or Consumer Court?

I complained about SMS problem to GTRAN and got reply: Now the only hope left is Reliance. Hope they will help.

You all will be aware of the fact that GTran handset is not covered by insurance. No matter you have upgraded from B/W, in Postpaid or in prepaid handset is not covered by Insurance. GTran has got no authorized service station in India. Reliance WW’s are authorized to provide service to GTran. For the warranty period its fine but after that even for small repairs Reliance will charge hefty amounts. So in my view it will be beneficial to get the handset insured on our own or ask the Reliance to do so. Regarding the Insurance first question whether we should ask for insurance of Rs18000/- (As mentioned on GTran Box) or Rs12001/- (As charged by Reliance). If anyone has details regarding handset insurance please submit it here.

is option to upgrade phone book to 93 available on GTran. Reliance website has got following

those who have located Gtran service centre pls ask them to solve SMS and MMS problem.
