tanveer my battery lasts 18-24 Hrs depending upon RWorld usage

I have been reading this page from last few days but have not tried. In my case when the battery is fully discharged it takes about 4Hrs to charge it completely. When the phone is switched on while charging, the indicator at the top corner starts blinking after battery gets charged. It also sometimes gives beep. When the phone is switched off while charging LCD displays message “Charging. Phone switched off”. When charging is complete it displays “Charging Complete.” As in the both the states phone indicates that battery has been fully charged so I don’t think it will be of any use to charge phone further. I have now used this handset for more than a month but still the battery indicator shows all bars. So I think others might have spoiled their battery by overcharging. These are only my views, my thoughts. If any one feels that I am wrong then please correct me.

Every one of us using GTran is facing the problem of distorted SMS and non availability of MMS. The error of course requires a software correction. One thing we can do is to just wait for a software upgrade and use facilities as they have been made available to us. Other thing is to fight for our rights. Complain about the errors and problems faced to the chairman’s office. My past experience has shown that if it’s genuine problem then this people takes action. If you feel no action has been taken complain them again after a week giving reference of your last mail. Why to hesitate when we have paid Rs12000/- An email doesn’t take much time and cost is also negligible. Forget *333 over there asking a solution is just a wastage of time. If all of us will complain only then we can expect an earliest solution. So can I expect that today you will mail your complaint to Chairman Office (Use link available on Reliance Web Site)?

Hi! Please complain about SMS on GTran to chairman office with a sample message. I think I was first who complained to them about this and they took my complaint as specific to my handset. Please complain only then we can expect solution.

New billing cycle for my RIM begins on 1st & bill gets displayed on Rworld normally on 3rd or 4th of every month. This time I upgraded my handset to GTran under Anniversary offer and bill is not yet ready till today 14th. Has anyone else who upgraded his handset under same offer received any bill? I am asking this because I got my first bill after 5 months. So I want to estimate time when I will get bill this time.

i have not got bill till date. on complaint i got reply "u will get bill in next 25 days"

only problem with XP even reliance agrees. trying to rectify.

I have seen LG 5130 in Web World and read its features. LG 5130 when compared to GTran as only got an attractive price tag nothing much interesting in features when compared to GTran. I don’t think that Lg 5130 is comparable to GTran 4020 in any terms. GTran is computer controlled phone specially meant for new generation. Till date GTran is best handset provided by Reliance. I say if you opt for RIM you must opt for GTran (the ultimate handset). Gtran display is wonderful experience it.

Can u pls check PC Sync software in US. I heard this phone also supports adding new games using PC.

Today many own GTran handset. Therefore my view is that GTran must be enlisted out of other handsets into the main category. Similar to the way in which LG, Samsung, Motorola, Nokia have been enlisted.

Reliance has provided upgrade to Rworld on GTran. You can do it yourself by doing following: 1. Reset R Menu (5 times) 2. Clear Memory (5 times) (present in Rworld) 3. Reset R Menu (5 times) 4. Restart phone. After this I am able to save ring tones. But the MMS inbox does not open. Hope MMS will also start working soon.

Today I charged battery for first time using travel charger. I charged it without connecting phone. Completely discharged battery got fully charged in just 2 hrs. Indicator turned green so I don’t think further keeping on charger will help or charge the battery further.

Many in this forum have said that GTran rocks but I say that GTran is a rock. I have used this phone for last 15 days and have found following disadvantages: Handset Features: 1. Phone book is not easily accessible. 2. It displays wrong name when 2 numbers are added for same name. 3. SMS text appears distorted. RWorld: 1. Lesser number of applications available when compared LG 2030. 2. Ring tones can’t be saved from Rworld. 3. Inbox of MMS can be opened only by few better dependent upon luck. PC Sync Software: 1. PC configuration required not well defined. Works fine on 1 out of 20 PC. Again on your luck. After Sale Service: 1. No authorized service centre available in India. 2. No insurance for handset. 3. GTran website never answers a query. I think my decision to upgrade from LG 2030 was wrong. I have wasted my Rs 8651/-. If any one else is thinking of upgrading to GTran think twice before finalizing.

by sms problem i mean the text appear distorted example: hello thanks f or reading my mess age. some of alphabets appear in 1 line and remaining in other. is there any setting to correct this?

A few days back I complained about handset some people thought it’s really bad. No it’s not so. If you analyze my complaints deeply u will find that these are all related with software. All it requires is a software upgrade but it will be available only if all of us complain. Let the authorities be aware only then they will find a solution. If u compare price tag and features then this is the best handset offered by Reliance till date.

Hi guys thanks for posting your response here. Regarding RWORLD issue I complained to Reliance and last Sunday they intimated me that it’s the problem of interconnectivity of rworld with gtran. They r trying to find the solution. Hope they fix it soon. I think that it will probably require a software upgrade similar to that which we had for LG 2030. U all must also complain to them. Secondly also complain them about the distorted appearance of sms received. Sometimes it becomes difficult to read sms.

some people are able to open MMS inbox. so where is the problem in handset or in RWORLD server
