The best way is to use the TATA's Rs1/10 minute PayPerCall plan for contacting CUSTOMER CALL NUMBERS OF AIRTEL than from an Airtel mobile... :rofl_200: Plus I have few Ideas to help Airtel in milking its customers... 1) Rental for activating DNC (DoNotCall) tele-marketing calls, say Rs250/month 2) Charging for Incoming calls in Home circles @ 10p/min for calls from Airtel numbers and 20p/min for receiving calls from offnet numbers... 3) Charging for giving missed calls @ 75% of the original call charge.. (Even if the receiver didn't attend or disconnect that call) 4) Penalty for NOT attending a call @ 10p/call.. 5) Penalty for disconnecting a call @ 10p/call.. 6) NO MORE PER MONTH CLIP charges... You pay CLIP charges for each incoming call @ 20p/call (and Airtel executives will call you 10 times a day) 7) Call wait charges @ Rs50/month 8) Penalty Rs10 for NOT sending SMS on BLACK OUT DAYS.. 9) Penalty Rs10 for NOT sending ISD SMS... 10) Pay just 10p for checking balance... 11) Penalty Rs50/month for NOT using ROAMING facility in a month.. 12) Penalty Rs20/month for NOT sending MMS.. 13) Penalty Rs100/month for NOT using Airtel's new App Store.. 14) Penalty Rs50/month for paying Bills by cash.. 15) Penalty Rs50/month for NOT using CUG facility.. I don't think so.. They (HTC, BB) are interested in American market only and I think they won't care much about India, since we have NO subsidy on handset price by operator.. They already have NO RUIM based handsets earlier too... But if they started, then that will be very GOOD for both them and us...

We all know Airtel is the MOST greedy network operator now, but this is TOO MUCH imho... Atleast the charge should be Rs0.50 per call to CC... Another good reason for Airtel customers to wait desperately for MNP... But this BOLD step of Airtel and delay in MNP confirms who is behind the delay in MNP Hope the COPY-CAT Vodafone will also FOLLOW... Though voice/data tariff is very good in MTS, they have very high ROAMING charges, even in the circles where MTS is operating...

@amicable If you need to empty the UIM, simply move the SIM contacts to the new Phone's (you now wish to use) Phone memory and you are done.. Then you can follow the procedure of Ramesh Ji to get phone contacts from your Nokia6265... I too once got my Nokia6265's slider strip replaced in Nokia Care... They too told the removal of contacts possible, but in the end, no such thing happened after replacement.. Now my wife is using the 6265 for six months now and no problems till now.. But she rarely opens the slider for answering or ending a call , fearing a repair once again..

RCom usually launches exciting new offers for few months (from oct2009 to be precise) atleast once a week or a fortnight.. But after many Airtel's top execs joined RCom's Desk (here shows the starting of such process on 10-Jan2010) there is no good offer coming from RCom... I think the ExtraTT offer was planned around Dec2009 and started in Jan2010, so let us leave that alone... NO NO... I am NOT saying RCom is offering less or RCom needs to give MORE offers... BUT RCom just like Airtel, now RCom taking back its promises like TARIFF VALIDITY OF SIMPLE PLANS (50p and PPC) SHRINKED TO ONE YEAR ONLY NOW from 15-feb-2010, source here... IT MAY SEEMS LIKE A SMALL CHANGE, but now the difference b/w RCom Simple50p and Airtel 50-60p scheme is just the cost of STV (as roaming is NOT important for almost 95% common man) I doubt this is the mischief of the Airtel guys who just entered (NOT EVEN A MONTH) into RCom Tent... Most people may just blame RCom saying Reliance is showing its original face now, so and so and NO one will doubt these Airtel guys imho... Many friends in our forum already regretted the joining of Airtel Ex-Executive guys in RCom on the thread here.. So I am starting a POLL asking do you think the decision behind the removal/reduction of schemes in RCom nowadays has link between the change in Management(esp. Yes Saket Ji, I forgot to tell the screen thing with 25 signal bars and that phone will have a QWERTY keyboard almost all characters acting like GREEN (send) button in STANDBY screen, where A-->to call SIM A, B-->to call SIM B, ..... Y-->to call SIM Y(25th SIM) and Z to end a call(RED Button) Those 25GREEN and a RED button can also be used to type in messages or other applications... Kumar Sir, Patent, royalty are really nice... But I don't think those Chinese cr@ppy phone makers will obey patent rules and give ROYALTY to me... So I am posting that Idea here in open...
