Tata people bring this phone to get unsatisfied BSNL landline customers... This phone is two-in-one... Means TataWalky number will be programmed into this phone and there is a jack in for connecting the BSNL landline.. So we can get incoming & do outgoing from both Walky and Landline... Many people are hesitating to buy a walky, because they have already a landline (though heavy call charges) for many years and they don't want to keep two phones on their office, which takes too many precious space in office.. Tata is bring this phone to tackle this problem.. Now walky has tariffs as low as 50p/min for Local/STD and 1Rs/3 min for local mobiles... Their idea is people will stop doing outgoing on their BSNL landlines and use walky for that and they won't miss any incoming calls from their decade old Landline numbers too.. Nothing but a DualSIM concept, now coming first for a landline phone...

Mobile network codes are once available in telecomtalk.info.. But for few days, they are not available, may be for updating the DataBase... But they will be back very soon... They provide the data in excel (Google Docs) format...

Nothing great about this offer... Now even MTS offers Locals default @ 30p LT for some circles and STD @ 50p... So 50min Local+50 min STD means Rs15+Rs25=Rs40... Balance Rs29 for 50 SMS + Tax.. What happened to MTS

What makes it better than Q3 @ Rs4500, the 2MPx camera instead of 1.3MPx camera??? Both are anyway worse than a good SonyEricssion VGA camera... Just change the buttons and sell it to a higher price .. Rebranded Chinese $hits are also behaving like Nokia nowadays...

Mobile switch OFF will save more power than standby... But switching again phone ON will take more battery power than standby... Please try to switch OFF and back ON your mobile for 4 or 5 times and you can feel the difference... This effect is much much more in smartphones...

I have already wrote that, RCom has the first rank holders of lunatic school as CC guys... But MTS has washed out (Failed in all subjects) students from the same school as CC guys...

I don't think so... RTL is also available in MP+CG... But it is also very very bad when I visited during December to Raipur... But during January it was quite OK and usable... So just check before opting for especially the postpaid connections and that too for business...

The only on-net pack which is better than Uninor's current offer is FullOnBol of Docomo which gives 500000 Local Docomo seconds for a year @ Rs99/- So definitely a good offer, if it really doesn't have any call mole$ting or any other hidden charges ... But the number of Uninor users is not so high anyway...

Yes.. Plus, even if you do not want to use any phone feature, it is much better than switching OFF your mobile.. Because a reasonable amount of battery power will be used when switching back our phone ON.. If we use offline instead of switching phone OFF, that battery power will also be saved... So Offline mode is present even in some basic B&W handsets...

3 Years validity of Promo balance may be due to some technical fault...

Dhiraj Ji, this is just Haier in disguise, though slightly better than truly natural chinese cr@ps... You can see all their products here and many discussions about this handset in our forum here Reg CDMA (EVDO too) qwerty handset, see V-E80 and for just CDMA qwerty handset V-C80.. Both are in development stage... The only difference b/w costly CDMA qwerty handsets of BB, Droid, etc and these handsets is the former is foe E-Mail and the latter for just SMS.. Nowadays with cost of SMS as steep as 1p, there won't be problem in sales of these handsets imho..

See friends, how these thugs take SUPER FAST actions for things they get paise from us and how fast they are acting to give nice scheme to us like SMS packs, reduction in roaming tariffs... Hope RCom will just start something like "NO SMS BLACK OUT DAYS" like scheme say "NO CHARGES FOR CONTACTING CC"... Then we can over our friends using Airtel/Idea.. These IDEA guys are saying to save TREES , but only GOD can save their subscribers ...

Yes, very very high... Nowadays in this neck-tight competition, even telcos may find very hard to get 6% margin... Even the shopkeepers get 3 to 5% margin ONLY for recharges...

That is the problem with DualSIM handsets.. For a cheaper value, we will get chinese cr@p or rebranded cr@p only... From branded big companies, a decent DualSIM will cost above 10k mark...

By that time, I am sure RGsm and Docomo's network quality will be at par with Airtel/Vodas' and the cry of quality network by Airtel and Voda will be of no meaning at that time ... Further since RGsm and DoCoMo are using 1800MHz now, they can provide better 3G coverage at startup than Airtel/Voda, who are using 900MHz now, after the 3G launch... Then Airtel/Voda can NEVER even cry about network quality @ that time... :rofl_200:

But Virgin2Virgin STD comes with Rs1.5/day (Rs45/month)... Even RCom is giving 20p on-net Local/STD/Roaming @ Rs77/month... Considering the roaming benefits and the huge number of RCom users, the 32Rs difference is not huge imho...

Yes... 3G GSM Handsets are available in plenty in India, but not 3G GSM services of our beloved operators... Even BSNL is extending 3G coverage, may be slightly faster than a snail... Though choice of OMH CDMA EV-DO handsets are very limited, we have EVDO services atleast.. So why waste this golden opportunity...
