So the effective call charge will be just 23.67paisa Further if you reduce the dealer margin, the charge will be close to 22p/min Since IUC for local calls is 20p/min, the margin for MTS will be just 2p/min (MTS gets 22p from us and give the 20p to receiving operator)... So this offer helps other operators MORE than for MTS itself... All due to heavy competition in market

I still have doubts whether these telcos will verify address proof throughly or not , may be the initial spirit will be for a month or two... After then, I doubt thorough verification may NOT be possible with any telco, imho...

The only thing that is lagging in Indicom is "Nice SMS packs" ... Users can get max 300SMS for a pack of rent Rs25/mobth..

As I have said numerous times here, a crap is a crap, no matter what colour it may be in... Thatz why I mentioned as Fly having service centres for name sake atleast... Similarly the Spice... I have exp with D88-Gold... Even Nokia and SAMSUNG service centre guys are behaving badly, then what can be expected from rebranded chinese handset's service centre???

So it seems, all service centre guys are BS people... I first thought only NOKIA CARE are the people who don't care about customers.. But now SAMSUNG too...

Hitesh Ji, every one, including me is waiting or C+G qwerty low cost handset... Mainly due to RCom's 1p or FREE SMS effect... I want to use the 399SMS FREE/month of my Tata Indicom in Home circle and 1p/RoamingSMS of RGSM both in a single handset...

May be Tata using Docomo's technology for the high speed EDGE implementation for its GSM wing... This is where RGSM has done a blunder mistake by allowing Chinese maker to take care of GSM networks and we can see almost all are complaining one or another about RGSM network daily... Whether Docomo allows such FREE EDGE usage in ROAMING TOO???

My Nokia2280 working till now after 4 years except few keys in keypad as some dust has gone there.. Nokia2112 is still working for 3.5 years, without any problem... Another Nokia2112 is still working for 3 years except the LED Torch Light.. Nokia2865 is still working great after 3 years (am using now) even after an Indica car came over it on road... Nokia 6265 is still working great for 2.5 years (My wife using it)... Newest in my list But I have forget prices of all those handsets...

May be the mentioned handsets have GPRS only and NOT EDGE... 5800 has EDGE... Further SMSing INTERNET to 52270, doesn't bring settings always.. Use the manual settings given by me in my prev post...

Now this time in MP&CG, (I roam to CG and Maharashtra once every month) the network is quite usable... Last month it was very very BAD... Now it seems much much better, though NOT AS GOOD AS Docomo or Indicom here... But still, it is a nice welcome change in MP&CG circle..
