  1. NOT TRUE... My RGSM TN number series 81446xyzyz is not known by that site.. Also tried giving the first 4 digits and 5 digits alone too... So even some updates are needed now
  2. Hitesh Ji, you are cent per-cent correct... Pasting a logo on Chinese phone is as I said many times here as same chinese crap in different colour...
  3. Seems like 3G will come just 5 weeks before the implementation of MNP :rofl_200: That is 3G = MNP - 5 MNP not going to come, so MNP = INFINITY 3G = INFINITY - 5 =====> which is also INFINITY 3G = INFINITY ====> Means 3G will come , But won't Come ... Varum, aanaa Varaathu..
  4. That is because Docomo has tower sharing agreements with BSNL ... In CDMA, a minimum distance should be maintained b/w towers to avoid interference.. Thats why few (of the shared BSNL) towers have Docomo equipment only and not Indicom.. And CDMA towers usually have smaller height than that of GSM towers (some BPL <now Vodafone> towers are ridiculously HIGH when they were first launched here in Sivakasi, my home town)... If you have seen some towers with two or more equipments, the bottom most will definitely be a CDMA equipment... From my experience, TATA has excellent coverage with Nokia handsets (especially Nokia2865, 6585 and few low-end Nokias, than Nokia6265) only.. I can talk continuously in my 2865 with even one point of tower for long time, while travelling away from town without call drops (That is of-course also due to BREATHING-NETWORK quality of CDMA).. With my Huwaei, it is possible to 50% of distance only & SPICE (D88 Gold G+C) coverage is the worst..
  5. To confuse its users ofcourse ... OK. Jokes apart, they are restless on seeing the GPRS offers coming from competitors and launch new new schemes to retain its subscribers from moving to others... Anyway it is good for users...
  6. The problem is NOT the 1p/sec tariff... We all know that IUC for local calls is 20p/min and even many small calls lasts for 20 or more secs... Any call going beyond 20 sec is a GAIN for operators.. Even for the few PAISE LOSSES by very small calls can be adjusted by few longer calls.. It is the 1p/2sec tariff (for a rent as small as Rs180 for 6 months) that is killing the operators... For 1p/2sec tariff, operator can get @MAX 30p/min... If a call gets completed within 40 secs, it is a LOSS for the operator.. Further if a call ends @61 to 79 seconds also, IT IS A LOSS.. They have to adjust those few PAISE losses with the Rs30 they charge per month (3000paise to be precise).. If a call goes beyond 80 seconds (or between 40 to 60 secs), then only they the operator can have FEW PAISE for themselves ... So I use Docomo's 1p/2sec for long calls and for short calls I use 1p/sec of BSNL (BSNL gives 9000 sec FREE and receives Rs225 as rent, so it can adjust those losses).. I am doing this because, I don't want Docomo to die.. It should be ALIVE, so that I can continue to get nice tariffs I am not ready to cut the hen, but wait and get its eggs instead... Similarly 30p is IUC for STD (Home and Roaming).. Any call beyond 30sec is GAIN for operator.. So even 1p/sec roaming is also not going to kill the operator much imho... I am waiting for that to happen soon ... Then our operators will then offer 1p/3sec Local calls And this will happen (or atleast the IUC for local will be reduced to <20paise/min) soon after Etisalat DB launches its opeartion ..
  7. Even BSNL gives Unlimited GPRS @ Rs230 special recharge per month for prepaid... Aircel is cheapest... But Airtel has came down a step or two because of Docomo's recent GPRS packs...
  8. SORRY... THE company name is iPRO E72PRO, if you want I can show you its pics... Not that Eiroga brand... Just now checked the numbering plan website with the IMEI in my phone... (Brand name iPRO is NOT written on phone, thats why this small conusion)... Sorry once again...
  9. When searching web, all I can get is this Chinese phone only.. No other options till now .. The only plus point here is the possible use of Nokia's BL-5C battery and Nokia charger... But I don't think it is available in India... If so, I will surely give a try... Because I am using a similar G+G E72 clone (name is iPRO E72 PRO) with NOKIA BP-4L battery(which I bought seperately for Rs1500/-), which is working good, especially the battery backup is 3 to 4 days... The qwerty keyboard is working good.. I got that for Rs3400/- and both the IMEIs are genuine (registered for the co. of the phone as iPRO E72PRO), I checked online at numberingplans.com... Further if anyone found any better options, please inform in our forum...
  10. Samsung Corby Speed CDMA Launched

Oh.. SO even this is not a good choice for replacement for my Nokia2865 ..
  11. Me too looking for qwerty C+G dualMode/dualSIM handset for months, but nothing is coming
  12. Dot Rings Mobile Number Portability

They better announce MNP won't come to India, then many waiting customers can atleast change number + service provider instead of keep waiting and using the service half-heartedly...
  13. Please don't forget that RCom is giving FREE or 1p SMS in roaming too... Nobody can beat this offer, just 20k or 30k FREE SMS is not great comparing these.. And NO SMS BLACK OUT DAYS for RCom... After recharging with Rs25 pack, an RCom user can send 15000 SMS while roaming... Guess what will be the bill if an IDEA user from ASSAM goes for roaming and send 15000 SMS... I think Idea will charge Rs22500/- (if SMS roaming is Rs1.50, for new roaming plans with 1.5p/sec roaming) or Rs51,000/- (if SMS roaming is Rs3.40 for old roaming plans Rs1/1/1.50).. Also if an Idea user sends 500SMS on SMS blackout day, they will be charged extra Rs250 on that day
  14. Telecom Subscriber Base Count In India

By saying these number of additions in a month, they can gain some faith on unknowing customers , it will be good for ad also, for which Uninor is so famous for (HIDING CONDITIONS on Ad of-course)
  15. WOW... Nice idea to get some easy money in these highly competitive times and BAD NAME too ... Good going Airtel, you are soon going to get what you deserve ...
  16. Well thanks for avoiding the 11 digit confusion... The only problem will be the confusion of mobile number with landline numbers.. But now almost all charges are simple and little difference b/w calls to mobile or landlines for both Local as well as STD... So OK for me...
  17. Big Bazaar To Launch MVNO

Heard that Docomo is also going to be used by Virgin as virtual operators... Then in my Indicom connection all Indicom, Docomo, virgin CDMA, virgin GSM, BigBazaar Mvno will be onnet and with LocalT2T Rs99/month for FREE local calls to all these numbers ... I am loving it...
  18. This is the first time BSNL is offering FREE delivery reports (all operators incl all biggies are offering this for ages)... Even Rs1500 rent postpaid plan has 10p charge for delivery report...
  19. Telecom Subscriber Base Count In India

Sure 12 lakhs is a great number... But I don't think it is a TRUE figure... Fake activation is easy and will help in attracting customers saying the additions...
  20. Mts Pongal Offer

No conditions Hitesh Ji... This is simple No-NonSense ofer from MTS... It doesn't charges call mole$ting charge of 39p/call or Rs2/day like Uninor... MTS should advertise this scheme heavily in TVs and FM Ads saying THERE IS NO RENT PER DAY OR NO EXTRA CHARGE PER CALL... But MTS's 1p/2sec charge is still better imho...

  25. Reliance Gsm Network In Ncr

Raccoon, please send e-mail for MP/CG region also please... please... THE CONDITION of network is VERY VERY BAD (BAD or WORST is a small word to describe RGsm condition in MP/CG) there..
