Reliance Communications, Tatas Have Lowest Spectrum Efficiency
KanagaDeepan replied to Himanshu Singh's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
This is due to mix up of CDMA spectrum + GSM spectrum calculation.. Say Airtel should check if Spectrum charges per MHz of Docomo with that of Airtel's charges, then only TRUTH will be revealed... Else another simple way is starting of CDMA service by Airtel, Vodafone & Idea :rofl_200: and use the advantages of CDMA/Dual technology... But they wont work in area of sub-par Rs80 ARPU field for sure and even if they try will glamorous offers, there will be no one to use their CDMA service They gave iPhone LOCKED for 36k Rs... Guess what they will offer for CDMA BB... -
Tata-tata @ 1paise Per 6 Sec
KanagaDeepan replied to SantoshRoyal's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
One doubt, whether it is 1p/6sec for Local Tata only or STD Tata also... So this accounts for 25p/day rent, if you are on Local 1p/2sec tariff and 50p/day if you are on the default tariff of 1p/sec... Anyway nice onnet tariff, much better than 1000 R-R min/month by Rs195 Recharge... (Guess about call charge of T2T call of short call say 20sec duration 4 paisa :rofl_200: ) -

Vodafone (mumbai) Introduces Unlimited Sms Pack And Night Call Plan
KanagaDeepan replied to Mukeshlst's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Sachin I know you are angry with reliance for a small reason called "Service not great due to crowd created by Cheapest offers".. That can be rectified within a few months and you are not ready to wait.. There is NOTHING wrong on your side and ALSO Reliance side.. But that doesn't means that a company almost loots from its customers is CORRECT.. 1) They are charging Rs89/30 days --- Costlier than Rs25/month of Reliance, BUT STILL OK... 2) THEY CHARGE AGAIN Re1/DAY 3) They don't offer these SMS while roaming... 4) Black out days also applicable.. Eg: If you recharge now, the tariff will not be applicable for Dec25, Dec31, Jan1 ---> 3 out of 30 days.. You are getting 10% LESS THAN WHAT YOU PAY FOR.. For such huge amount, they shouls atleast remove black out day restriction imho.. If they are premium service providers with PREMIUM quality network , why dont they charge SIMPLY or STRAIGHT FORWARD as Rs119/month???? Because it will seems too much for SMS to any common man, who can immediately guess it as almost 5 TIMES costlier than what competition is offering.. CHARGING Re1/DAY IS NOTHING BUT A HIDDEN CHARGE imho... Anyway EVEN IF YOU THINK this offer is OK, you have to thank RELIANCE only.. If reliance didnt bring down that SMS offer, these rogues will never bring these SMS offers even for Rs300/month.. You know onething, these guys were charging Rs3.50 for a single SMS sent while roaming, TILL 2 months back... =============================================================================== COOL DOWN Sachin... Cool Down.. You have just got "Denial Of SMS sending" problem from Reliance... But I have been cheated by Reliance (during Mukesh period) in my DAPO scheme for eg: charged for using net, even though I didn't used any, Charging Rs506.50 for rent instead of Rs500, Charging late fees for not paying that EXTRA Rs6.50 charged... But what we honest people have to do is "ACCEPT A FACT AS FACT".. Fact 1) Reliance is NOW offering without IFs and HIDDEN CHARGES and it is SIMPLE & Straight Forward Fact 2) Airtel & Vodafone did LOWER their tariff ONLY DUE TO RELIANCE & DOCOMO Fact 3) Even now Airtel & Voda are giving CONFUSING & HIDDEN Tariff plans Fact 4) If users get increased and NO MORE SPECTRUM allocated, the TRAFFIC will be very high, that is TRUE for Voda/Airtel too Fact 5) Airtel & Voda is still milking its customers in neck-tight competition also Fact 6) So Airtel/Voda are likely behind delaying of MNP Fact 7) We need to give some time for Reliance network to come on par with Airtel/Voda Fact 8] If not so many HEAVY users are in a network, then the NETWORK will be SUPERIOR & Airtel/voda has LITTLE roaming users, mostly Prepaid users, heavy CUG users (apart from corp customers, for whom they charge LESS) Fact 9) Serious roamers (like me usually 15 days/month out of HOME circle) avoid Airtel/Voda for roaming and use BSNL, Reliance, Tata only.. Fact 10 Network is for USAGE only & if usage increases n/w quality decreases especially when new spectrum allocation is stopped =============================================================================== But ONE THING, those guys who are delaying MNP (read Voda/Airtel) fearing for Docomo or Reliance is good for DOCOMO & RELIANCE TOO... Till the launch of MNP, they 2 can improve their presence & n/w quality and then THEIR (voda/Airtel) :'( CRY OF SUPERIOR NETWORK WILL BRING NO FRUITS, for SURE... -

Aircel Excellent Recharges For Delhi
KanagaDeepan replied to Himanshu Singh's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Hope the Local minutes are for offnet and LANDLINES also... How much days the FREE value valid??? Valid upto complete usage irrespective of time will be sooo good... For the huge amount Rs999 (and 5000 local minutes) a validity of a month or three will not be enough imho.... -

Is there any GSM+CDMA DUAL STANDBY mobile with qwerty keyboard??? I have 3000 Local/National/Roaming SMS pack in my Indicom connection and typing all those SMS in the TINY keypad of Nokia2865 is like pain in, OK leave it... And most of my SMS includes Lorry Receipts details with combination of Numbers+Characters, so T9 is pretty lame for my use and I have none other way than to use MultiTap the phone's TINY keys... A cheap qwerty CDMA+GSM phone with EXTRA large battery (min 1200mAh & NOKIA compatible ones are much appreciated) and OFFLINE/Multimedia/Flight mode will be highly appreciated.. There are many more Chinese phones with qwerty + WiFi + Nokia BP-4L (1500mAh) compatible phones (say E71 clones) like here.. But none are easily available here in India and none accepts CDMA also... I have searched a lot, all @ a max I can get is GSM+CDMA keypad ones or DualGSM qwerty phones... Thanks a lot...

Reliance Mobile Introduces Rc195, Free 1000 R2r Minutes

Updated: 11-digit Mobile Numbers By 2010 - '9’ to be prefixed to all existing numbers
KanagaDeepan replied to Sadikk's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
There are still unused numbers left out... For example in 93, 92 series of Reliance and Tata CDMA and they can be made use to their GSM cousins, say Docomo should be allotted in only 92xxxxx and not other 8xxxx or 90xxxxx and same for RGSM as 93xxxx.. For Airtel and Voda (GSM) the unused series in 94xxxxx can be shared with BSNL... Further now in the current 10 digit number series, only around 10 to 13% of numbers are given to Mobiles and remaining >80% to LANDLINE numbers, which are very very low in volume... Like the 8xxx series, the unused STD codes in 7xxxx or 1xxxx can also be used... TRUE, then it will be very very difficult to distinguish between mobile and landline... But now the 801xxx series allotted to Karnataka IS nothing but SAME as what I said... We need not go for the 11 digit mobile number.. For a 10 digit number, we can easily remember it in two equal parts and so remembering a 11 digit number will also be much more difficult... -
Virgin Into Gsm Soon
KanagaDeepan replied to in.raghav's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
I dont think so... If so then how can Virgin give Virgin (CDMA) to Virgin (GSM) FREE or lesser call charges??? So Docomo seems possible choice, as Indicom and Docomo are on-net Virgin-CDMA and Virgin-GSM can also be on-net... This is not possible, if Virgin ties up with MTNL... Further MTNL exists only in Mumbai and Delhi and even if it tried to tie-up with BSNL, then it will be like :rofl_200: :rofl_200:suicide... -
Tata Indicom Per Second Plan
KanagaDeepan replied to in.raghav's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
So for a 6 minute call, first 3 min is charged and next 3 mins is FREE.. Then what about after the 9 minutes??? Whether the 10,11,12 minutes will be FREE??? Confusing isn't it??? -

Airtel Launches New Stv 32 Stv 33(new Sim) In Maharastra
KanagaDeepan replied to gemini23gm's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
MARKET CONDITION is FORCING AIRTEL to do this... :rofl_200: Why didnt they launch it @ first time itself, instead of that cr@ppy 20% more offnet charges (1.2p/sec), so that we need not blamed them at first place.. But we have to remember that MANY new players are now offering 1p/2sec local around Rs50/month STV, so we have to blame them again NOW :Contento: ... Then after few weeks, Airtel will launch Rs78/month for REDUCED call charges of 1p/2sec for Local onnet and 1.5p/2sec for Local offnet... What about roaming charges??? Same 60p/80p ... I feel very sorry for all the Airtel customers, who always enjoy lowest tariff benefits of market LASTLY and that too given half-heartedly by Airtel... :NOTriste: -
I used to see and post replies rom my E90 and E71, much earlier than this Hi-Fi version... But the HiFi version is VERY HEAVY that my browser (Webkit and O3 in both E90 & E71) gets closed within a minute or two, while browsing via WiFi (I have even tried with ONLY BROWSER app with only 1tab of rimweb.in/forums running)... Even some heavy sites like techtree.com with that nasty following Ad banners works without a flaw and didnt close my browser in E51 (has relatively Low RAM than E90/E71) too... I dont find any such problems in lo-fi version pages...

Very great and useful advice really... Unless the care people change, grey market will continue to grow like anything in India...

Tata Docomo Offers 200 Free Sms Every Day
KanagaDeepan replied to Mukeshlst's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Docomo is still offering the 750 FREE SMS without any recharge... That Rs31 Special Recharge (will give 200 FREE Local/National SMS each day) is also available atleast in TN... I think, you wont be charged for first 3 SMS, if you recharged for Rs31 SMS pack....
