When comparing other offers, I dont think Uninor is ready to offer STD onnet FREE and on that picture, there is no mention about STD onnet... Please give some-other link with details... Because even in its official website, it is shown that Local onnet FREE @ 79Rs per month...

Offtopic 1:- I don't think MTS will shut off their business, in near future... Their main problem lies in 1) Minimum own Handset options, 2) Not so good in marketting, (compare it with Docomo and see) 3) Having very low number of own towers... Though new users prefer GSM over CDMA, the power of CDMA are 1) Spectrum not as scarce as GSM (Even Docomo was NOT alloted spectrum in Delhi as 1800MHz too was exhausted) 2) CDMA can hold much more traffic than GSM.. So unlimited onnet will not be a burden on network.. 3) CDMA operates on 800-850MHz, so minimum number of towers are enough.. 4) CDMA 3G can handle enormous data @ great speed and at low cost... Offtopic 2:- Yes.. In TN, Docomo is giving 1p/2sec call charges to local TN mobiles for Rs54/month and I am using the same, after changing my BSNL plan from 525Rs to 99Rs... On Topic:- Uninor tariff seems ridiculous for time being... But they may launch with some other new plan, else they will never get good number of subscribers.. Even if they start giving nice tariff plans, they will experience huge loss for few years... It is no good for them either way.. At least we should appreciate their BRAVE HEART for entering this tariff war with minimum weapons against giants... They are much better than LOOP MOBILE, VIDEOCON, etc, who have got spectrum and not in a mood to start services... Let us wait and watch.. Threaten them with surrender of all the corporate connections (if possible)... If I was in your place, I WILL INFORM THEM that, I WILL NEVER PAY THE BILLS, SURRENDER ALL THOSE CONNECTIONS and do the same, if they didn't responded... Since I have very good bill pay history as I pay my Tata bills, 2 days after the bill generated... Recently an Idea customer got 10k Rs for extra Rs10 billed, BUT AFTER MANY YEARS... So no use in going to Nodal... Just fight back like I said, if possible... Before that, ask your family members, if anyone have used ur mobile and done something @ that time told by CC fellows...

This offer was expected by me much earlier... Because Indicom users enjoyed FREE or reduced calls (10p/min) to Docomo users for a long time earlier, but NOT vice-versa... So now it will help them in increasing customers same as the MLM style... Without this pack, Docomo users need to spend Rs5000 for Rs5lakhs seconds usage... Now for Rs99/- we get upto 8334mins in a year for FREE... But if they change the condition like FREE calls also to Indicom and Virgin, then it will be EVEN BETTER offer...

Dual WideQVGA screens with TOUCH and a battery of 950mAh, LG must be joking... It is not even a smart phone... Not even a good multimedia phone... Rate is too high... Very old phone model.. LG is dumping all those remaining handsets from USA and that too @ ridiculous price... If the rate is Rs10-12k, then it may sell welll... Else it is hopeless, imho...

I dont think so... A good example is our P.K.Daga ji got a postpaid fancy number (last 5 or 6 digits same---Diamond/Platinum number) from Docomo and he changed that to prepaid after few persuasions... May be possible in Reliance also.. But you have to try hard... All the best..

But in GSM there is very restricted FREE on-net calls and in CDMA we have unlimited on-net calls... So even after arrival of MNP, I think we should carry 2 mobiles anyway like now...

Well 1p/sec in roaming seems to be a copy of Reliance... But, Reliance offers this with a special recharge for ONE YEAR TARIFF VALIDITY ONLY and TATA giving lifetime validity to this scheme and its DEFAULT ROAMING TARIFF for all PREPAID/POSTPAID customers without any special recharge... Tata (both Indicom and Docomo) ROCKS.... :signthankspin: And I got yet another GOOD reason for neglecting my BSNL postpaid connection...

If number porting charges will be just Rs38 in Total, I hope the receiving network will never even hesitate to pay the amount to FIRST network (Rs19 only isnt it)... So MNP will be almost FREE imho...

U are right.... I once had a very very very bad experience with Reliance Postpaid (During Mukesh Ambani period) connection, eg: charging Rs506.50 instead of Rs500 for DAPO rent for one particular month (EVEN CC people didnt know why Rs6.50 was charged Extra @ that time) , Late FEES even though I paid my bill 10 days before due date always, Internet usage charges for 2 hours-even though I used NEITHER R-World NOR data-cable (R-World is FREE for me as a DAPO user), Charged for roaming in Hyderabad--even I didnt gone to Andhra @ that time ... I was using their 6 digit mobile-number @ that time and they changed that to 10 digit... Anyway I have to inform the new 10 digit number to my clients, so I broke & threw my RIM NOKIA phone and got BSNL postpaid connection... Even though the Reliance is offering nice plans now, I am just urging TATA to follow them and am not in a mood to get yet another Reliance connection especially post-paid...

What about SMS charges (local/STD) while on roaming... :confuse:

vodafone will come up with same roaming tariff, but with different name and different ad for the scheme ... IDEA will also come again with Airtel's Idea and exclaim itself as "What an excellent Idea, SirJi" tag... BSNL may not come with this scheme , because it doesnt care about what is going around, or dont know what to do with its excellent 55+ years old marketing team members... TataIndicom and Docomo may also follow... But not so sure... Now the gap between Reliance Simple and the tariff of others operators are diminished anyway...

Is it possible to change from POSTPAID of one operator to PREPAID of another operator???? :Sorprendido: If that is possible, I will change my MOM's Airtel postpaid to DoCoMo Prepaid...

Got my old CHINA mobile (Dual SIM) phone IMPLANTED with Genuine IMEI in a centre in my town Sivakasi... And got confirmation SMS reg. them.. I also checked its genuineness by sending SMS "IMEI <IMEI Number>" to 57886... for this wonderful forum... Am using my BSNL SIM with tariff shifted from 525Rs to 99Rs and DoCoMo PREPAID SIM with local mobile @ 1p/2sec on the NOW-GENUINE CHina Handset...

As I said earlier, only a DIAMOND can cut a DIAMOND... Only a Reliance's offer can beat another Reliance's offer... No DOUBT on that... Tata's new roam plan is not good for occasional roamers or in general for MOST ROAMING customers, Simply Reliance is CHEAP & BEST.... Tata's roam plan will be good only when roaming incoming is 600 minutes or more... Most roamers use much less than 600 minutes incoming in a month... Very few customers like myself (I use about 800-1000 minutes in roaming a month) will opt for this plan...

NOT only with 1p/sec tariff... It also comes with 250 Mins FREE uninor to uninor calls (250x60 sec I think) + Life time validity + FULL TALK TIME on all recharges ------ All at rate Rs45... Their website is the source... uninor.in But I expected much more from the WORLD's 6th LARGEST OPERATOR, WHILE ENTERING INDIA... Well, they will come up with nice goodies when they experience the stiff competition... Another NEWS :- THEY ARE NOT READY TO provide 3G service immediately, even they dont attend 3G spectrum auction like DoCoMo... They are going to concentrate on 2G only for now... NOT So Good IMHO... Because NOT many PREPAID users will be using 1500 local minutes a month... Some postpaid users will do.. Further 30 days validity is the main catch here... Instead DoCoMo launched Rs54 pack here in TamilNadu with calls to local mobiles @ 1p/2sec... Also they give FULL talk-time for recharges Rs100 or above (0Rs Admin fee and Re0 for ServiceTax)... I am now using the same and I even changed my BSNL postpaid 525 plan to 99Rs plan..
