Not at all possible. Rcom clearly said it can carry forward only main balance and not promo balance minutes or data. Rcom never does even the things it has promised. So there is no point in expecting them to do what they have not promised, IMHO... sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk

Looks like you are in weak 3g coverage area of rgsm. Rgsm has no 2g GSM network in Bihar [lost 900MHz 2g spectrum in last auction] and works in Aircel 2g by icr. So this issue. The same is true in other circles like west Bengal, Assam, north east, Orissa, even though rgsm has got 1800MHz in last 2 circles, lazy rgsm has not implemented the same till now. Reliance Jio - Pan India 4G / LTE network
KanagaDeepan replied to Arun's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
Exactly. USA has no iuc regime. Further volte is more different from VoIP. One such difference is, volte works in compatible networks even if data is off in consumer's mobile phone. Another main difference is, even though volte uses data stream to send voice, compatible volte phones never calculates them in data usage. But still an operator can still count it as data usage, if they want to.. Jio join is more like VoIP version of volte calls. Saying that volte is over-rated is -- a little bit harsh, but true to some extend too, imho. We can say Volte tech is not matured enough for time being. There is a reason, when there is no full 4g only [volte only as a result] operator of this scale as rjio in the world... Sent from my LS-5002 using Tapatalk -
Yeah, I know about Rcdma and that's why I said RGsm is not worth it. But whether they will allow you to port out is the question. They may argue that moving to RGsm is also like MNP and so you can't move away for 90 days. But argue that it's INP and you have rights to move away even now. Even though chances are slim, you should not give up easily, IMHO.. All the best. sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk

First change the plan.. RGsm is NOT worth of that 1000+ Rs tariff plans, imho...

You may get a SIM, but it will NOT work in any other phone (except may be LYF)... Just give it a try and share the results here...

Reliance Jio - Pan India 4G / LTE network

From what I have came to know, the freedom plan is applicable to those people whose 3 months unlimited preview offer has got expired... Not sure about the accuracy of the info, though.. sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk -
Few days back, I said its not expected that RCom may say "Hey FU(K OFF... NO 10GB free data for you" to their customers directly. But RCom proved that, they can do anything and said exactly the same to their customers now. The 10GB free data WAS REALLY A FOOLISH (as it will surely backfire them) UN-ETHICAL TRAP by RCom..

What phone you are using and what are the LTE bands it support? sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk -
According to their official my LYF dot com website, it has no hybrid or memory card slot. Even the high end earth and water phones doesn't have fast charging enabled. The given charger is a slow one and I tried my fast charger as well. The wind 4 even though is having sd210, it performs good if we disable jio bloat. But if you want full device encryption, then go for earth series, IMHO. No use in looking for sub 10k LYF phones. I am using water 1 for more than 6 months [as hotspot mostly], it's performance is good and always have 50% free RAM, if we disable jio bloat. But still performance may not be same after enabling full device encryption. Either you forget full device encryption or look into earth series phones [come with 3GB RAM], IMHO... sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk

It looks good and has better 2920mAh battery (good for 5" 720p display). But only one thing is troubling me in suggesting it. The initial price of the phone was Rs11700/- But recently its price was cut drastically to Rs7500/- That is a HUGE price-cut..Looks like there are some issues in that phone, otherwise there is no need for such price cut, imho. It has NO microSD slot and storage is limited to 16GB. But the persons who have actually used it can give accurate suggestion. If you can get Wind4, go for it.. Wind 4 also has 5" 720p display, but with still bigger 4000mAh battery. Its much better than Water 5, except may be camera.

Best Network In Delhi?
KanagaDeepan replied to sujit_k's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Don't invest in new CDMA phone for Tata. They may anytime close CDMA services in Delhi, as they have asked for liberalisation of CDMA spectrum there. If you have old CDMA phone lying around, use it. Do not buy new CDMA only phone, even for Tata. sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk -

So as expected, the promise of "Your plan will remain same" is a big fat lie by RCom.. At least they didn't s(rew up the plan too much. Please check with roaming charges (incl roaming in others network). SimplePPS plan of RCdma has 1p/sec in roaming also and in CDMA there is no fear of moving to other's network. But in case of RGsm roaming, it will NOT be the case afaik.. As the plan name says, its an Annual rental plan. That is Rs1194 (+Tax may be) for one year.

On conversion date itself? Most if not all people didn't get 4g signals on conversion date. Then it's not 10GB 4g -- it's just 10GB 3G or even 10GB 2G in some circles. They should have credited from the date customer can access their 4G network. So, the 10GB free data is not enough for all the 4G chaos, IMHO. sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk

Well, speed gets maximum affected by the quality of network, coverage, the band currently connected and number of users using the current tower. The quality of handset also plays a role, but not the maximum effect as I listed above. So go for the handset according to your budget without much worries, IMHO. sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk -
That's great Kamal bhai.. Are you sure about this? Who said / confirmed this? If its CC guys, don't take them seriously. If others, please tell us who? Reg that 850MHz only 4G, I have doubts from the beginning. It is well known that RJio will NOT be sharing the 2300MHz 4G with RCom from the beginning. Later RJio may share 1800MHz, only after RCom-Aircel merger, when RCom will liberalize its 1800MHz spectrum also. Even spectrum sharing rules say that spectrum can be shared legally only if both the willing parties have same spectrum and that too in liberalized form. So the 850MHz only 4G will NOT be a big deal for many, imho. No VoLTE on RCom4G is also expected. As that is the only thing favorable and differentiating factor for RJio. If there is NO difference between RJio coverage and RCom 4G coverage, then only Pathetic RGsm fallback will assist Jio in getting more customers than RCom (apart from the 2300MHz band 40 4G capacity). But NO 10GB 4G Data??? NOT expected.. I mean, we all know very well that RCom will screw their customers in some way or other, but NOT openly and that too in the beginning itself. At the max, I expected RCom to give away that 10GB as 1GB per month for 10 months or 2GB per month for 5 months to avoid port out from their pathetic network till RJio launch. But saying, "Hey fu(k off.. No 10GB free data for you" to their customers is hard to believe. Please confirm about your source...

Nope. If data is not at all working, then only you have to go for sim patching. sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk
