Friends, here is a full fledged Dashboard for the ZTE modems from MTS (both ordinary MBlaze and MBlaze_Premium--FoldingType)... 1) Can send/Receive SMS 2) Make and Receive calls 3) Even has setting for 3Way con-call 4) Call and Data Log 5) Edit APN and DNS settings (like OG MTS dashboard) 6) Phonebook (both PC and RUIM) settings 7) Network mode selection (like OG MTS dashboard) 8) Activate / Deactivate services like call wait, call forward, etc 9) Set / change ringing tone for calls and SMS If you have already installed MTS dashboard, it may be removed before installing this dashboard... From his speech, the commercial launch seems to be minimum 3 to 6 months far away from now.. He said that on the first day of launch, 70% of population will be covered. Whether that means "launching in phases" news is WRONG??? His speech confused us more, than giving clarity in real.. Only one thing is for sure, he himself is NOT sure about official launch date of RJio commercial services, as he is still NOT talking about launch date or time frame of completion of testing phase.. So April 1 is as usual the Fools day only and NOT RJio launch in metros, as per earlier rumors.. Then his earlier AGM speech saying, "2016-2017" will be the first FULL commercial year for RJio services, is also wrong or at least missed the dead-line ONCE AGAIN AS USUAL.. Source All these mess ups are due to VoLTE only. Even VoLTE on 850MHz will NOT be that great, from my experience. They better buy pan India - single carrier (1.25MHz) in CDMA 850 (Band 5) for voice fallback and are good to go, imho..

Depends on circle to circle. Band 40 in all circles, band 3 in 16 circles except up[e], up[w], Bihar, Haryana, Punjab, J&K. So looks like RCom is going to use CDMA spectrum as 4G and their pathetic, good for nothing, worse than even BSNL, irritating voice clarity (or lack of it) GSM service for voice fallback??? This sounds too stupid, as inside buildings and underground there will be 4G signals, but NO voice fallback 2Gsm network, except in say MP and HP (where they have 900MHz spectrum).. Better they use a single 1.25MHz for CDMA voice call fallback network (like Verizon) and 5MHz for 4G..

As I have asked earlier, please tell your circle.. As for the signal booster, it will NOT go waste as RJio may launch 4G on the same CDMA band.. Looks like April-14th is the Jio launch date in your circle and RJio may use BSNL for voice fall-back.. Just make sure that BSNL signal reaches your home..

^^^^ Better NOT go for this.. This is NOT applicable if you have used Idea app earlier, I guess.. Further if you are an existing data users, then you may get just 150MB only.. 1GB is rarely given and mostly to new data users..

Nobody is having issues waiting for 6 months.. But 6 YEARS waiting is way tooooo much.. Yes, NO operator in the world gives pure VoLTE network.. Reason being pure play VoLTE tech is NOT matured yet and it will NOT mature before 2016 December again.. But then why take it in hands or store all the eggs in that basket with big hole?? Why NOT use 1800MHz for voice, better yet 1.25MHz of 850MHz for CDMA 1x voice calls and other spectrum for 4G data?? Making calls via VoLTE is a hit and miss, if there is no Sub-1GHz spectrum.. I have tested RJio sim in MP, Mah, AP and TN circles till now.. VoLTE is awesome in MP circle, as they have their own 850MHz band5 spectrum.. But in Mah circle, even the street level coverage is pretty bad (even pretty bad Airtel Band40 LTE coverage is better) and speed is very low even during night.. Mostly VoLTE calls didn't get connect during 99.99% times in Nagpur, even in open space.. VoLTE is a hit or miss in TN. Here VoLTE works just 50% of times, but speed is very very good.. Well, NOT everyone can enjoy an empty, but fully functional data network.. Overall, the network is more than ready for data purposes, even when travelling by train.. Because people will be ok, if data disconnects some times while travelling.. But its NOT ready for full fledged voice service, mainly due to VoLTE imho.. Normal 2G/3G Phones connects back to network immediately, if it returns to coverage area from no-coverage area.. But in case of VoLTE, it doesn't reconnects immediately and takes too much time in few occasions.. This is why incumbents are saying VoLTE is not matured enough and I don't think it will mature before Dec2016.. One solution is using sub-1GHz spectrum and cover all areas without dark spots (which RJio is trying now), but it will still be less effective than traditional 2G/3G calls, for eg when going and returning from underground parking places.. Second one is buying a small pan India operator and use their network as fallback, till VoLTE tech matures.. For example, they can buy Tata / aircel or even RCom and use their 2G for fallback.. But the problem will come, if effecient Band5 is used for LTE and Band 3 1800MHz as fall-back, as there will be no fall-back network for voice call. To avoid that, they can simply use 1.25MHz of CDMA spectrum for voice fallback (like Verizon in USA).. Then the only minor issue will be lack of sufficient handsets, which they can tackle using LYF brand phones, imho.. If they are really launch in Dec2016 or later, I don't think RJio will be a big success as 700MHz auction is also coming in June and all incumbents will have sufficient spectrum to safe-guard their high value customers, imho.. Then all RJio can do is, give data for cheap and get lots and lots of low ARPU data hungry users and get beating in their network.. They should launch before August at the very least, for their own goodness, imho..

It is looking like a scam.. Govt has nothing to do with this phone CO. They said defence minister is launching it, but didn't see any photo of launch event. The mobile they displayed in TV show is actually a phone by Adcom with the Adcom brand hidden using a whitener.. A Rs251/- from one crore people will fetch Rs251 crore scam.
