You mean jio sim? sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  2. LeTv Le 1S (Gold, 32 GB)

LOL... They lost my respect for their products now..
  3. Hmmm... NOT worth the price even with VoLTE, imho... Better to go for Moto G 3rd Gen, which has VoLTE already working..
  4. @Himanshu Singh reason is RJio has only 2300MHz band 4G spectrum in UP(W) as well as in Punjab.. No band 3 (1800MHz) or band 5 (850MHz).. This is one of the reason its joining hands with RCom to get band 5 spectrum to improve coverage..
  5. Price seems high. But MDA may launch hungama type offers like 2 phones for price of one, then it will be truly vfm, IMHO... sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  6. Actually the 850MHz trade and sharing is just for covering the coverage holes.. Airtel is most probably safe with minimum churn, Idea also is almost well positioned in its leadership circles.. Only Vodafone is in big trouble, I guess.. But the problem for RJio will be NOT in form of fight from incumbents, but the mutual ICR agreements between RCom and RJio, especially if RCom can use ALL of the 4G spectrum incl 1800MHz and 2300MHz and NOT just 850MHz.. RJio has to start from ZERO customers now, but RCom already has 8+ crore customers and almost 3+ crore customers are data users.. So who will use the 4G network more???? See, if people can use 4G from RCom / RCdma, then what is the need to go for RJio??? For example, I have a corp connection of 16 numbers and only 6 of them needs data.. Its better for me to use RGsm / RCdma + 4G than buying 16 VoLTE phones (outta which 10 will never use data).. VoLTE is NOT matured enough and from my personal experience its NOT stable-enough like a simple 2G voice call.. If Mukesh ji is smart enough, I think he will allow RCom users to use just the 850MHz 4G, leaving 1800MHz and 2300MHz for himself.. But still then, the total RCom load will affect the VoLTE performance of RJio for sure... Let us wait and see...
  7. Even at&t phones should work. But they will not have band 40 support which has more capacity and present in all circles... sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  8. OMG that RECRU - RGE - RECU evdo sim along with 4G lte support?? Rcom better stop providing stupid sims where data working is as good as gambling in 4G LTE at least, IMHO.. sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  9. Rcom users can access only the 850MHz band or 2300MHz + 1800MHz as well? If they can access all, then there is no need to go for RJio by buying new volte phone, as we can use existing phones like Lenovo A6000 on Rcom as well. It will surely affect the growth of RJio IMHO... sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  10. Idea LTE 1800 BAND

Problem is idea using microwave as backhaul in most of its towers and not ofc... sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  11. Idea LTE 1800 BAND

    ^^^ May be 100MB x 10 months, not sure...
  12. Idea LTE 1800 BAND

Well, one speedtest trial uses minimum 55MB of 4G data.. After just two speedtests, the FREE data + some main balance will be gone...
  13. Dear common man, The rates you have specified is almost fully wrong. Incoming calls are free [for all operators] even before Rcdma launch. It was BSNL which first started that trend long back. Before Rcdma launch, local calls were Rs2.40 per minute and STD calls were Rs3.60 per minute for prepaid numbers of both Airtel and bsnl. But bsnl prepaid has 30 sec pulse, all others have 60 sec pulse. Whereas in Airtel postpaid numbers there are even plans with local Rs1.00 and STD Rs2.00 / Rs3.00 [mobile/landline] for Rs399 monthly rental plan with Rs150 free usage. The same was available in Bsnl postpaid Rs525 plan, but with 15 sec pulse. When Rcdma was launched there was only postpaid with only one plan for Rs500 rent [Rs200 extra per month if bought handset in subsidized price, which I didn't] called DAPO plan - DhiruBhai Ambani Pioneer Offer. The call charges are Rim to Rim local/STD Rs0.40, Rim to offnet mobile Rs1.20, Rim to local landline Rs1.00, Rim to STD offnet Rs2.40, Rim to STD landline Rs3.40.. unlimited local/STD Sms free, R world browsing [slow as hell now, but hit at that time] unlimited free. But 400 minutes of 40p discount available with roll over/carry forward benefit upto a quarter year makes the deal sweet. It effectively means for first 400 minutes [too much for that day] the call charges will be like Rim to Rim local/STD Rs0.00 Rim to offnet mobile Rs0.80 Rim to landline Rs0.60 Rim to STD offnet Rs2.00 Rim to STD landline Rs3.00 I remember this well, because at that time my dad was using Bsnl postpaid, me using Airtel postpaid, which I gave to my mom, so that I can get Rim DAPO plan with Nokia 2280 [not sure about model number] bought for Rs5600 outright cost. The call charges difference is very huge in onnet calls + ROAMING CALLS only. Since it's a wll number, there is no need to dial STD code for local landline numbers. I got the connection mainly because roaming is free, with outgoing calls equal to home charges [incl freebies]. But we have to dial *555 [not sure about number] when we move to another SDCA, and we will be assigned another local number apart from the main number. This is actually reliance misusing the loophole in WLL phone service. This scheme became super hit, once they sell the phones for Rs500 [subsidise price, extra Rs200 x 24 months applicable] each and they also gave 2 mobiles for Rs500 with special offer name monsoon hungama.. But many people misused that offer, but that's another rant for another day. sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  14. [1] I think Airtel has 5 MHz of liberated spectrum usable for 4G in 1800 MHz band 3. [2] It also has unpaired 20MHz of spectrum in 2300MHz for band 40 4G lte. [3] Currently Airtel is also using 5MHz of 900MHz frequency for 3G {platinum 3G as they say} now which can anyday be changed to give 4G lte services on band 8. sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  15. No such issue in Lenovo Vibe P1 either sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  16. May be RECRU or RGE or REPTU or TUKKUTU sims needed for data activation... sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  17. News Snippets

Since RJio is also opposing, 700MHz spectrum auction may not happen this year sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  18. If we want to use voice services of RJio [without falling back on disastrous RGsm] then only volte phones are needed. Current 4g phones are more than enough if we want to use data services of RJio, IMHO sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  19. I Have Ported My Number To....

Airtel has 20MHz spectrum in band 40 [2300MHz] + 5MHz in band 3 [1800MHz] + 5MHz in band 8 [900MHz]. Out of which they will first use band 8 for 3G and lte later. Infact it's equally powerful to RJio in Karnataka circle. But Idea [as well as Vodafone] has just 5MHz of band 3 lte spectrum in Karnataka circle, which will get congested fast comparing Airtel or jio, AFAIK sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  20. Idea LTE 1800 BAND

No. Idea is a very small baby here in tn. They don't have proper 2g coverage in our small town itself. They have tied up with Vodafone for 2g and 3g icra. But voice stv tariff will not be applicable when using Vodafone network. sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  21. I can understand.. But can you please tell if those plans are too good to be TRUE or just so-so?? Say we are getting 3G data plans like Rs150 for 1GB through special offers.. Is their plans following the same or still much much cheaper than that??
  22. That article says 10 circles, but lists only 6 [Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, AP, Karnataka, Maharashtra] circles. It's so incomplete and vague that I doubt the genuineness of that article.. sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  23. If the mini is again coming with CDMA support, it will surely sell well...
