^^^^ Not possible on Dec using 2300MHz, whereas 4G launch is possible in 1800MHz.. Idea has liberated 4G spectrum on band 3 (1800MHz) in AP circle.. Only Aircel and RJio has Band 40 (2300MHz) spectrum in AP.. Even if Idea is going to buy 2300MHz from Aircel (not likely) then they need 45 days notification period for spectrum trading..

Idea can't launch 4G LTE in Delhi, as they don't have enough liberalized spectrum.. But they have enough liberalized contiguous 1800MHz band 3 spectrum to launch in MP+CG, Mah, Kerala, TN, AP, Karnataka, Haryana, Punjab, North-East.. They recently agreed to buy Videocon's spectrum and then they can launch in Gujarat and UP-West.. Even I have seen Idea's 4G signals in my town Sivakasi, in TN circle, where even Airtel has NOT started 4G...

So finally a great affordable phone with outstanding battery life for CDMA lovers in India... Even I was tempted to go for this phone, but the super fast charger (which Gionee M5 lacks) in my current phone (Lenovo Vibe P1 with 5000mAh battery) spoiled me.. I usually charge it during lunch break and use the phone for 2 days without looking for charger.. -

I think for data only purposes these handsets are more than enough [that's why they have tied up with Rcom for csfb based voice calls]. Looks like Ambani brothers are going to use all of the CDMA spectrum for 4G LTE.. Especially in Mah and AP circles, total of RCom + MTS + RJio has only 5MHz spectrum, which is bare minimum for framing LTE network..

Since there will be Open sale for OPX from next month onwards.. So I think its better for those who want to buy OPX to wait, to see initial reviews and sw errors (usual for OxygenOS ROM) that may be a deal breaker for some... I mean, its NOT like difficult to get like OPO days, so a little wait will NOT be a bigger issue, imho

I don't think tariff plans will be a deal-breaker as both RCdma and MTS plans are equally good, afaik.. -

Well apart from unwanted VAS activations, balance deduction activities by RCom, I don't see any negative impact for MTS users.. This deal may complete by mid 2016 afaik... -
