Irresistable Deals In Electronics, Gadgets, Mobiles, PC Hardware
KanagaDeepan replied to rajanmehta's topic in General Technical Discussion
With chrome cast and teewe available in 2 to 3 thousands, smart TV is not a must imho. Further reg 3D TV, Samsung and Sony Comes with 3D glass which needs battery. So better go for LG, which uses ordinary glass without battery. I am using Samsung 3D TV and I have to buy one new battery after watching a small 3D movie. Further extra glasses also costs 2k... Few chinese variants of xiaomi phones have cdma support. But they don't come with Google Apps support by default. You may have to download Google installer from Mi market to get play store support. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

TDSAT Directs TRAI To Rework Telecom Interconnect Charges
KanagaDeepan replied to kesav's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
WOW.. The topic once started in 2010, became reality in 2015 only... Yes, now the IUC is reduced from 20p to 14p per min for calls between different wireless networks.. Further the IUC for calls originating from (or terminationg to -- NOT sure) LL to LL or wireless is NIL now... This is a big relief to BSNL wireline business... Here is the news... Mobile tariffs to go down as TRAI cuts call connect charges In a bid to boost fixed line phone connections in the country, telecom regulator Trai today removed charges that a landline service provider has to pay to the other service providers for transmitting its customers’ phone calls – a move that is likely to lead to lower tariffs. Now, calls made from landline-to-landline or landline-to- mobiles will not include the interconnection charge, which was 20 paise. Trai has also reduced network interconnection usage charges (IUC) on calls made from mobile phones by about 30 percent to 14 paise per call from 20 paise earlier. ”To promote investment in, and adoption of, wireline networks, so that they may become an effective vehicle for the delivery of high-speed Internet in the country, the Authority has decided to prescribe FTC (fixed termination) as well as MTC (mobile termination charge) for wireline to wireless calls as zero,” Trai said in the new IUC rule issued today. Telecom subscribers can’t communicate with each other or connect with other networks unless necessary interconnection arrangements are in place. A telecom company is required to pay interconnection charges when its subscriber make call to subscriber of other network. The charge gets added up in final price that a subscriber has to pay. ”The Authority is of the opinion that in case the MTC is set to zero for wireline to wireless calls, wireline access providers would be able to provide innovative tariff packages (e.g. flat rental plans with unlimited or a significantly large number of outgoing calls),” Trai said. Similarly, in case the FTC for calls originating from wireless networks and terminating on wireline networks is set to zero, this “would propel wireless access providers to offer cheaper tariffs for wireless-to-wireline calls,” Telecom Regulatory Authority of India said. Landline connections in the country have been declining since the time mobile incoming calls were made free. While mobile subscriber base at the end of 2014 reached all time high at 94.39 crore, landline connections are only 2.7 crore. State-run telecom companies BSNL dominates landline phone connections with 62.71 percent market share followed by MTNL 13.04 percent, Bharti Airtel 12.55 percent, Tata Teleservices 5.98 percent and Reliance Communications 4.39 percent. Videocon’s Quadrant, Vodafone and Sistema Shyam account for 1.2 percent market share. Landline connections of private players are mainly meant for providing broadband connections. In mobile segment, Bharti Airtel leads market with 23.01 percent market share followed by Vodafone 18.93 percent, Idea Cellular 15.95 percent, RCom 11.26 percent, BSNL 8.62 percent, Aircel 8.33 percent, Tata Teleservices 7.01 and Uninor 4.62 percent. Sistema Shyam, Videocon Telecom and MTNL account for about 2 percent mobile service market share. SOURCE HERE (bgr dot in) -

I think after 2 years, the data stored in the excess of FREE allowed storage will be gone, if NOT upgraded (Paid)... -
Good... Heard its BL can be unlocked (so obviously root possible).. The last time I was toooo excited when paying FULL price for a phone is during Motorola RazrMAXX (XT910) purchase... If it comes with Band40 and Band3 (Band 3 confirmed even in Verizon model - so its given) 4G Lte support, then Motorola can have my money...

Need suggestion for small 4.3" Android phone; 2 GB RAM - GSM
KanagaDeepan replied to maniac8828's topic in Handset Suggestions
Droid MINI doesn't supports call recording without rooting... And rooting is impossible without unlocking bootloader... Only DroidMAXX has developer edition phones and NO for Droid Mini... Sunshine BL Unlock method also needs the phone to be rooted earlier... Simply put, buying DroidMINI with BL unlocked earlier or running JB 4.2 is the option, which is as good as finding unicorn, imho... The closest you can get is SONY Xperia Z3 Compact, with slightly bigger 4.6" screen.. -

Reliance CDMA RUIM on Verizon iPhone 5 5C 5S and 6
KanagaDeepan replied to Avichal123's topic in Technical / OS related
Not only for noobs, sometimes it's hit or miss for experienced users too. Main issue is even the operators are not interested enough or efficient or both. As a result, cdma is unnecessarily complicated imho. Sent from my MI 3W using Tapatalk -
So xiaomi is fu(ked already by OnePlus? Sent from my MI 3W using Tapatalk

Everything was OK, till the decision of RCdma to stop MEID registration... See if even RCom (or any Dual tech operator like Tata, Bsnl, Mtnl) is NOT caring about their cdma business, what can we users do?
-
Looks like now OnePlus is throwing away dozens of invites to everyone... May be the launch failure of MI4 (16GB 3G phone) is encouraging their sales...
-
@Sudharsan Agree that MI4 is a vfm phone too... But 16GB non-expandable storage is as good as useless, imho.. I am telling this from my experience from MI3 16GB.. Yes, coverage of 4G will be OK after one year only.. But there are people who use their mobiles more than 2 years and for them future proofing is important too... @kshah ji, YUREKA is also good, but hard to get one.. Atleast in flipkart, they show a counter and we know when to click the buy button.. I have recently bought Lenovo A6000 (Rs6999) for my graphics designer.. Its very super smooth, even with 1GB RAM.. Its the cheapest 4G phone currently in market.. Only few bloat apps are coming with phone and most (if not all) can be removed without root.. 5" screen is awesome, has got DualSIM slots, SD slot, slim, yet better battery, camera is also good, etc...

Reliance Jio - Pan India 4G / LTE network
KanagaDeepan replied to Arun's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
Actually I have NO idea about iPad Air (or any apple product TBH)... If its currently working with !dea 3G and also supports band 3, then it will definitely work in upcoming 4G Lte networks on Band 3.. For example, Idea is going to launch 4G LTE [they got 10MHz of 1800MHz there] on Band 3 in Kerala circle, this year... -
Reliance Jio - Pan India 4G / LTE network
KanagaDeepan replied to Arun's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
By today there is zero number of 4g LTE networks on band 3 in India. The available 4g LTE networks (in half dozen Indian cities) of AirHELL are on band 40 only. Rjio got pan India 4g spectrum of 20MHz on band 40 only. Rjio (along with airHELL, idea, Vodafone) has got some 5 to 7 MHz in few circles on band 3 during Feb 2014 auction (actually on liberalized 2g spectrum auction). They may launch 4g LTE on band 3 in coming year. But still I am not sure whether iPad will be able to use them, especially cdma iPad. Sent from my MI 3W using Tapatalk -
Reliance Jio - Pan India 4G / LTE network
KanagaDeepan replied to Arun's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
^^^^^ Only OnePlus ONE supports both Band 3 (FDD-LTE 1800MHz) and Band 40 (TDD-LTE 2300MHz) LTE... Most imported phones never support Band 40 LTE, unless imported from CHINA (they will have problem accessing Google services).. But almost all imported phones from USA supports Band 3 LTE... -
