  1. Motorola Announces Moto G

Yes Sir... Thats the reason I suggested to avoid 8GB versions in my earlier post... But that 8GB option is OK for old people, first time smartphone users, backup device, house wives who is just going to use phone just for whatsapp [The population of this category people is growing fast like fire]...
  2. Non SMS Stuff

^^^^ HAHA... Literally I Laughed Out Loud on reading this... Thanks ji for sharing...
  3. Motorola Announces Moto G

Baba ji, I have NOT used Moto G. But I have used Lenovo P780 and have experience with Moto's near stock UI. So I can guess (NOT assert) the following... Common on both P780 and Moto G: [1] Almost same + reasonable Price [2] 1.2 GHz QuadCore Cortex A7 processor @ 28nm (Moto got from Qualcomm and Lenovo from Mediatek) [3] 1GB RAM [4] 720p HD resolution IPS LCD display [5] Not so good camera but with GeoTagging, face detection [6] DualSIM support [7] microUSB Host support (not sure about G, but Gsmarena says so) [8] Active Noise cancellation with sec mic. [9] Wifi, BT, 3G, Front cam, etc Advantages of Moto G:- [1] Latest and greatest Android KitKat is about to reach in a week {reached DualSIM version in Malaysia already, India is next} [2] Better GPS {Mediatek always lacks better GPS afaik} [3] Corning glass protection for display [4] Light weight, Compact size and not everyone likes big 5" screen [5] Butter Smooth near stock UI [6] video recording with Stereo sound + HDR, Panaroma in stills [7] Customisation option with colour back covers, etc [8] Better known brand {but Lenovo is going to be its parent co} Advantages of P780 Lenovo:- [1] Bigger battery 4000mAh [2] Bigger display 5" [3] Memory card support [4] 8MPx camera [5] FM Radio Result:- Yes, around 14k is worthy price for both phones... But if bigger display, battery, SD support is important, go for P780. If Compact size, customisation, latest Android version is important, go for Moto G. Reg Memory, I want to tell one thing... P780 comes in 2 options --- 4GB + SD and 8GB + SD. Moto G in 8GB, 16GB options. Its better to avoid 4GB in P780 and 8GB of Moto G, imho... Though 16GB without SD slot may look tiny comparing 8GB + microSD slot of P780, the internal memory of P780 is restricted with few GB for apps and rest for media. Whereas in Moto G, the whole of 16GB is used a huge memory pool and shared for apps, media and everything. So you can install upto 10GB of apps, if you are going to keep media in minimum. Just my two cents paise....
  4. Motorola Announces Moto G

Afaik Like any Nexus phones (from GNexus) the total memory is shared for apps, media, system, everything... So even if you have bought 8GB variant, you can install more than 4GB of apps (keeping other data minimal). Enjoy...
  5. Motorola Announces Moto G

Looks like FlipKart mistook that we Indians will mostly go for cheaper 8GB version than 16GB ones and imported 8GB models much more than 16GB ones (our CID's data also proves the same).
  6. ^^^^^ Just one small correction in your joke.... Dear Bill Gates, It doesn't matter whether you make an Indian, Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft. Unless you are going to price your s/w reasonably in India, we are still going to use pirated Windows only. Thank you, Indians If that is the case, we can NEVER expect reasonable price of Windows here, in future, imho...
  7. Motorola Announces Moto G

As expected OUTTA STOCK now... Hmmm, going by our CID's data, almost 25.5 Crore Rs transacation happened last night wrt Moto G. But considering the price, its OK. Sir ji, Indian S3 has 1GB RAM, QuadCore processor @ 32nm, 4.8" 720p display, 2100mAh battery. This one has 1GB RAM, QuadCore processor @ 28nm, 4.5" 720p display, 2070mAh battery. Just shy of 30mAh comparing S3, but that extra 4nm shrunken die and smaller display will prove to be more effecient, imho. So 2070mAh is OK for normal users, imho. Yes, removable battery is a huge plus, but how many people use spare CHARGED battery? Its a minority (I am among that minority group - I am using spare 3100mAh battery with external charging kit + 2A power charger for the same in my Note2 - The total accessory kit caused almost 5.5k bucks damage to my pocket)
  8. ^^^^ May be they got fear due to the flood of -VE voting by eBayers...
  9. Motorola Announces Moto G

Friends, Let us all test the reliability of Flipkart servers tonight.. OK??
  10. Motorola Announces Moto G

Great Price. No wonder it will sell well and force Galaxy dummies like core, star, style, Grand to be price correct. Sent from my Note2 using Tapatalk pro
  11. Actually I wished Sundar Pichai (also indian by birth) who is now VP Android, Chrome to become CEO of M$ and do what Stephen Fl0p has done to N0kia earlier, to M$ now -- That is Degrade M$ to trash and sell it for dirt cheap to his old employer Google. Actually even M$ was once very very interested in Sundar Pichai, but got frightened by their own poison and may be for safety they have gone with their own staff. M$ baj gaya??
  12. Motorola Announces Moto G

There is a rumor that the price of 16GB Moto G is going to be around 18k and 15k for 8GB version... 16GB @ 15k will be more attractive, imho... (And better NOT to sell a 8GB one)
  13. In that case, they may have cancelled so many orders.. Nice Cunning idea to get few million bucks easily and quickly, as I told earlier...
  14. May be on seeing the huge demand, they are thinking of canceling the old orders and take fresh orders with increased price later? Sent from my Note2 using Tapatalk pro
  15. Indian Politics - The Dance of Democracy

^^^^^ V.Good one Rajan ji... Thanks for sharing...
  16. ^^^^^ Yes, but without cheap tariffs for both voice and data, imho. But there is a better chance for increased coverage for both 1x and evdo. That's a huge plus without a doubt. And if by any chance they allowed meid registration like rcom, (since, voda is mainly gsm operator and may not be too interested in handset sales) then it will be a super hit and even force rcdma to increase the coverage of 1x and evdo. Just a bunch of wild guesses. Sent from my Note2 using Tapatalk pro
  17. USA B1 / B2 Visa Discussion

Hmmmm... Good to learn the formalities in getting us visa. Will be very helpful when going for tour with my family. Thanks friends... Btw congrats Hitesh ji...
  18. Motorola Announces Moto G

    Yes, I am waiting...
  19. ^^^^^ Yes, but the problem will be that, when Voda purchases Tata, it will surely remove all the best value for money plans including Unlimited plans, per second plans, onnet plans, half - paisa packs, etc.. Voda is known for increasing tariffs and with lack of competition it will increase by leaps and bounds, imho...
  20. Motorola Announces Moto G

^^^^^ Rajan ji, any such deal for Moto G GSM???
  21. Motorola Announces Moto G

^^^^ Yes, further more bloat and bad UI may reach Moto G in next updates too, imho...
  22. Google Sells Motorola To Lenovo

Actually Google has changed few things in real, like (1) removing SD slot, (2) negotiating with carriers for minimum bloat and (3) faster updates. other OEMs (I am looking at Sammy) (1) oems like it - as SD slot removal is loss of feature for Moto, (2) oems don't care much, this point wrt bloat (3) faster updates - brought nightmares to OEMs. Earlier Sammy has got good name for Android updates like JB to S2 that came with GB. The deal is looking like much to please SAMMY, imho... Few days back they Goog and Sammy signed cross licensing agreement, remember friends???
  23. ^^^^^ Its better for TATA to exit telecom as they DO NOT know what to do with it. But being sold to world's number one greedy network is NOT looking good for consumers. Vodafone will immediately remove the per second benefit and all affordable tariffs (unlimited plan) from Tata. What will happen to Tata's CDMA business is known only to God. As expected Voda will become number 1 operator and that day will be a Black day for Indian telecom, imho...
