Reliance Jio - Pan India 4G / LTE network
KanagaDeepan replied to Arun's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
I think he is connected to some RGsm's 3G HSPA tower and hence the phone shows it like 4G... BTW the phone is Optimus G Pro, which doesn't support Indian LTE right??? -
Many more happy returns of the day Shreesh...

Must Have Android Apps For Your Smartphone - Part II
KanagaDeepan replied to rajanmehta's topic in Android
^^^^^ Haha... I am wondering how many bricked devices it may result in newbies attempts, who doesn't bother to read FAQ especially with encrypted BL of few AT&T phones... But they (CM Team) are going in the right direction, imho... As expected Verizon devices (only GNexus) and Motorola phones has got little to NO (in case of Moto) support from CM...- 1,081 replies

Reliance Communications de-activates around 10 million in-active GSM and CDMA Mobile Subscribers
KanagaDeepan replied to M.S.Rao's topic in Reliance Communications
^^^^^ Looks like your number is on the recently deactivated one crore list and mine and baba ji numbers are in the 4 to 5 crores yet to be deactivated RCom numbers (among total of 8.7 crores)... This move will decrease their subscriber base, but will inflate the ARPU value and average MoU (minutes of Usage) which is much needed for them and their stock holders, imho... -
Reliance Communications de-activates around 10 million in-active GSM and CDMA Mobile Subscribers
KanagaDeepan replied to M.S.Rao's topic in Reliance Communications
^^^^^ My 2 RCom (0ne Cdma and 1 Gsm) numbers are still active after 3 years.. Yes, I have just check it after seeing the report on TT... So either this info is false or RCom needs to deactivate few more crores of connections, that are NOT really active, imho... -

Happy Diwali to all Rimweb friends... As I am from Sivakasi the crackers city (even my close relative is one of the top three [among 1500+] fireworks manufacturer in Sivakasi India) I think I can clarify it a bit.. The decrease in crackers burnt is due to [ 1 ] reduction in purchase power and inflation [ 2 ] heavy increase in crackers cost (about 30 to 40% price hike this year) [ 3 ] FW makers NOT ready to reduce their margin (so high cost) but low production (labor problems) saved them as demand supply gap is NOT wide. Protection to environment is a side-benefit imho...

Better processor -- YES... Better battery -- I don't think so... If you are just comparing numbers, yes 2300mAh is bigger than 2100mAh.. But if you include the bigger FHD screen, various modems (inlcudes GSM, CDMA, LTE, whereas Nexus4 has GSM and NO cdma or LTE modems enabled) that extra 200mAh is NOT much, imho...

Reliance Communications to sell iPhone 5C for Rs 2,599 and iPhone 5S for Rs 2,999 monthly plan on a 2-year contract
KanagaDeepan replied to Himanshu Singh's topic in Other handsets
^^^^^ So RCom is following the same FAKE Unlimited FREE calls and shamelessly blaming TRAI for the same... 100 hours means 6000 mins FREE usage (same as in 1499 Fake UnLimited Plan)... Only TataGSM has TRUE UnLimited calls (NO FUP applicable -- I have used it earlier) in its 1299 plan (though their plan is real, their network is a joke, imho)... Even AirTel is allowing 10000 mins of FREE calls (incl Roaming -- currently I am using this plan) + 8GB 3G Data (also FREE while national roaming in partner networks) in its Solitare1599 plan. So TRAI's limit of 100 hours per month is A BIG FAT LIE... -

Hardware Purchase Suggestion Requests
KanagaDeepan replied to hiteshkkk1's topic in General Technical Discussion
^^^^ If 10000 is your budget, then its better to stretch a bit more to 12.5k and go with Rajan ji's suggestion... Paying 12 to 13k for SONY's DualSIM phone is still cheaper and more convenient than getting one cheapest Nokia Lumia (with very small RAM) + another basic phone, imho... -
BBM Released For Android and iOS
KanagaDeepan replied to phonegeek's topic in General Technical Discussion
Yes, the honeymoon is over... Uninstalling it for good... I earlier had little hope that it will be a good option for people who have exhausted their FREE first year usage on whatsapp, but the BBM experience is not worth mentioning.. So I am happy that I have purchased 5 year subscription extension for Whatsapp, last year... Even google's immature Hangouts is 1000 times better than BBM, imho... -
Hardware Purchase Suggestion Requests
KanagaDeepan replied to hiteshkkk1's topic in General Technical Discussion
^^^^ Nokia making quality hardware??? That was some years back, my friend... I can say E71 was their last high quality phone.. Even the E90 was plagued with soo many issues like uneven rubber feets, low quality mics, not working secondary cam, cr@ppy paint job, etc... It stayed in service centre more than in my hands... Please DO NOT ask about low end phones too.. All friends might have seen people who bought C2-00 (their first REAL DualSIM phone) talking by holding the phone at backside on their ears. Lower end phones had very very bad earphone problems. X1 had good earphones and speakers but it has THE WORST network coverage, afaik... Nowadays I am using Motorola phones (RazrMAXX, RazrMAXX_HD) and their build quality and battery life is second to none... The only problem is their military grade encrypted bootloaders, but I have unlocked BL of MaxxHD and used SafeStrap Recovery in OG_MAXX for sometime... WP phones are already --- OK, leave it... But if you are adamant in trying WP, you are left with no other choice than Nokia... Good luck... -
Handset Launches - News Snippets
KanagaDeepan replied to digitalnirvana's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
^^^^^ May be since Sammy has given two screens, two cameras, dual core processor in this phone, it has also priced it twice its worth... Thank god they have been using plastic in their flagship phones, else the price of s4 and note 2 will be around 99000 and 89000 respectively (if the gold like appearance is the reason for the premium price of this mid range phone)... -
Wishing you many many happy returns of the day Amit bhai... ENJOY....

Actually the program was written by me when I was studying First Year in Engineering College as time-pass... But since nobody with computer programming knowledge, knows my business better than me (even at that age) and knowing the way my mom and dad does things manually, the learning curve for that program is almost NIL for them and they are NOT at all ready to change to something new currently available in the local market... Now I have FULL knowledge and knows better programming than earlier, but have little to NO time to update it. Even if the data is completely lost, it can be rebuild with even age old backup + recent HARD Copies, but the time and pain it will consume will be sooo huge. I am using DropBox (so that it automatically backup the data to my laptop, netbook, Nexus7 Tab and phone(s) as well) as backup service (with 53+GB space) and currently working for automation of that backup service. This thread is an eye-opener for me... Thank you friends... -
