  1. Handset Launches - News Snippets

^^^^^^ Apart from that, they are not at all serious about Indian market... They launch models with outdated OS + specs at ridiculously high prices... Eg 1: YESTERDAY they launched Desire XC with DualSIM C+G, 4" 480p display, 1GHz DualCore, 1650mAh battery, 4GB memory, 0.75GB RAM, 5MPx camera, NO FRONT CAM, ICS for Rs16249/- Eg 2: On June5 they launched Desire XDS almost the same as above with G+G setup for Rs16089/- -------------------------------- I agree the build quality and materials used are better, design of latest models are good... But hey if your phone is going to have non-removable battery better give 3000+ mAh battery like Moto and if you are not going to give me SD slot, then keep the price low like Nexus4... Till this BF-S, they have launched higher end phones with no expandable memory... They put tiny and non-removable batteries for the sake of being slim... Then they were wondering why they were going down... But at least for their own good, they are now awake from their KUMBHA-KARNAN sleep....
  2. ^^^^^^^ Yes, even RCom is clear and straight forward wrt CDMA data (1x/EVDO) than TataCDMA...
  3. Handset Launches - News Snippets

Am I missing something??? I didn't see any post about the announcement of HTC Butterfly S, the FIRST HTC high end phone of 2013 worth buying (with 3200mAh Li-Po battery and microSD slot) ======================================= HTC Butterfly S is official, packs HTC One's UltraPixel camera19 June, 2013 HTC has just made the Butterfly S official and it's a significant bump over the first Butterfly. The smartphone is powered by a 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 - the same as the one in the Samsung Galaxy S4 - and has 2GB of RAM. It's built around the same 5" display boasting full HD resolution and a pixel density of 440ppi. Internal storage is 16GB, and as is usually the case, HTC has teamed up with Dropbox to provide 25GB of free cloud storage for 2 years. MicroSD card support is available, too. At the back of the Butterfly S, there's the same UltraPixel camera as the HTC One. It packs a 1/3" BSI sensor size with a 2.0 micron pixel size and wide F/2.0 aperture. Since the smartphone is running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with the latest Sense UI 5 skin on top, there's HTC Zoe with HTC Share and Video highlights. HTC Butterfly S official photos Not much has changed in terms of visuals, and the Butterfly S looks more or less the same as its predecessor, safe for its thickness and different color variations - red, white, gray - and some details here and there. The most prominent of which is the metal ring surrounding the camera glass at the back. Measuring 144.5 x 70.5 x 10.6mm, the Butterfly S weighs 160 grams and is significantly thicker than before. That's because under the hood, there's a 3200mAh battery, a lot bigger than the original Butterfly's 2020mAh unit. Connectivity options are the usual for a high-end offering and include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, DLNA, NFC, GPS. The HTC Butterfly S is expected to debut in Taiwan for NT $22,900 (US $766) in July. The company's plans for a wider release at this point are still unclear. ====================================== SOURCE: HERE
  4. Please Suggest Reliance CDMA QWERT Smartphone

Hey thanks for the suggestion... But how do we compare : Motorola XPRT vs Motorola Droid Pro vs Motorola Admiral ??? Confuse among them AFAIK Droid pro and xprt doesn't differ much. Except that pro is from Verizon and xprt is from sprint (so ussd will never work in xprt, but may work in pro). Further pro has smaller battery comparing others (1420mAh vs 1860mAh) Admiral is from sprint too. So no ussd. But coming with better display (vga comparing to hvga of others) and dust water resistant (not sure) and so its a more fatty baby. So I think xprt is better and available in forum too. 5. Please Suggest Reliance CDMA QWERT Smartphone

    ^^^^^ Go for Motorola XPRT...

  9. Gadgets Of Our World

^^^^ Seems too good to be true... If it was posted on 31st March to 2nd April period, I won't have believed it... But this is the reason I am loving Google.. They always THINK out of the box and never just wrap an existing tech with shiny things and ask an arm and leg for it...
  10. iOS 7 - Concept - A Blend of Jellybeans And Windows 8

That's the difference between truly multi tasking and fake multi tasking os. But seriously the vm used in Android is the culprit. Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk 2
  11. iOS 7 - Concept - A Blend of Jellybeans And Windows 8

^^^^^ This means, even Apple agrees that Android is better than iOS... Good artists copy, great artists steal...

  13. iOS 7 - Concept - A Blend of Jellybeans And Windows 8

Oh come on... If all those features are coming to iPadmini, then how can apple sell i_Padmini2 to you again??
  14. BIRTHDAY WISHES!

^^^^ Because we have wished him by phone itself. But since you asked, I am wishing here again. Belated happy birthday Parin ji.... Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk 2
  15. iOS 7 - Concept - A Blend of Jellybeans And Windows 8

@kalpesh ji, Search for clover in Google. I am using it for years in both xp and 7 (tabbed file Explorer) Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk 2
  16. List of CDMA + GSM Handsets

^^^^^ Its ridiculous because, I got China-Mobile Prepaid SIM (on airport itself) without giving any ID proof (No, I don't look like Chinese people)... But passport + Visa copy for an electronic device is not ok, as there is chance for mis-using it...
  17. ^^^^ Saurabh ji, they are very clear... They are going to force people who use their CDMA nw just for calls to their (horrible than BSNL) GSM network... And they are going to concentrate on DATA / EVDO by launching hidh-end data enabled CDMA phones.
  18. Reliance InstaCare App For Android

Does this app shows the data balance of Rs94 recharge? Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk 2
  19. List of CDMA + GSM Handsets

^^^^^ They are thinking that Grand, S Duos, Ace_Duos, at the MAX Mega5.8 Duos is more than enough for us... But these higher end DualSIM variants are always available exclusively in China for years (S2 Dual, S3 Dual, Note2 Dual, now the S4 Dual). Even I tried Note2_Dual for my relative through KTD (by his friend who is on short official trip to China), but those store people there asked for passports, Visa-copy, etc for getting one. Its better to get them through some local people only. Some sites like talkatone or something are selling to other countries for ridiculous price like 999$ (N7102--Note2 3Gsm+2Gsm) and they don't accept Paypal.
  20. Samsung Galaxy S IV - The Next Big Thing!

Amit ji. One thing is sure. S4 active is coming with replaceable battery and memory card slot as found in first look in gsmarena website. There also they confirmed the display is good (most probably non pentile). Sent from my XT910 using Tapatalk 2
  21. Samsung Galaxy S IV - The Next Big Thing!

^^^^^ Apart from being natural and not over-saturated, LCD display is having one great advantage than AMOLED and that is regular RGB matrix instead of Pentile matrix arrangement in AMOLED. Further S4 active is much better choice than S4 regular, since S4 active is NOT looking like Galaxy Grand or Galaxy Ace or S4 Mini, etc... The 8MPx camera in S4 active is the one we found in S3, which is also a wonderful camera. Further there is a rumor that S3 is also going to get those dual-camera in its future 4.2.2 update. So it looks like a deliberate move by Sammy to be sure S4 active doesn't cannibalize S4 regular sales... So, the picture in picture or dual-camera recording can be fixed via some sw tweaks that may come in few days from xda... So if S4_active is priced less or equal to regular_S4, its better to go for S4_active, imho...
  22. Motorola Razr Maxx - Actual Use Review

Hello friends, I am back with screenshots showing the great battery life of my International (GSM only) RazrMAXX. A lot has changed now comparing my earlier post here on Dec2012 1] Now my RazrMAXX is rocking JB 4.1.2 (flashed EU Leak from Asia.Retail) 2] Its almost ONE year old (I got it on July2012) 3] NOT using it for data much, reason my Note2 is taking care of that job with BSNL 3G -------------------------------------------- So now the screenshots. First two showing the FIVE days battery life with NO charging in between and remaining battery is 8%... Now comes the duration of Voice calls, which stands at round 7 hours (6H_49M_14S to be exact). LOL... Phone calls is the main feature I am using in RazrMAXX as I am in UnLimited1299 plan. Actually those 6 hours are mainly used in first 4 days, since 5th day is SUNDAY. But what to do, the probability of getting sunday in 5 days is high ;p Then comes the Screen ON time at slightly more than 3.5 hours (3H_32M_27S to be exact). I play games few mins a day. Here is the screenshot that shows the battery usage by mobile radio, which is JUST 8%.. But my service provider is a new operator with very bad coverage (TD). It shows the efficiency of the radio. This is why, I love Motorola... Last is the screenshot showing the time I am connected to net via EDGE (When my Note2 battery died) checking few important emails + battery consumed by AndroidOS ---------------------------------- My GNote2 has 3100mAh battery and RazrMAXX has 3300mAh one. GNote2 lasts for 12hours (with net on for 6 hours and 2 hours screen ON time). I use CPU sleeper in both phones (Quadcore CPU Sleeper in Note2 and CPU Sleeper DualCore in RazrMAXX). So having bigger battery NOT always guarantees better battery life. Even my old Photon has way better battery life than S2-Captivate Glide though both are using same CPU and same 1650mAh battery. My RazrMAXX is soo special, because 1] I bought it on the day it reached India {All other phones I waited for 6 months min} 2] For full price [ok after applying 10% off eBay coupon] {All sammy I got imported & cheap} 3] The first smartphone I have been using continuously for ONE FULL YEAR. 4] The first phone I am going to use for TWO years without changing (I used my old Nokia2280 for 18 months) I love this CHARGE_IT_TWICE_A_WEEK phone much more than my CHARGE_IT_TWICE_A_DAY_Note2... --------------------------------- I am thinking of writing about flashing EU_JB_Leak on RazrGSM phones and flashing + rooting JB on DROID_Razr (my wife is using it) and the yet to finish SolarProject (in a week). I will post them in a month, when I will be free from my busy business season work. Sorry for the LOOONG story and thanks for your patience...
