VAS can be De-Activated by calling on 155223
KanagaDeepan replied to kalpeshaparmar's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
We have to wait and see if this will be helpful for customers in the long run... But, as usual Trai/TDSAT has set a very good loophole in this rule... -----24 HOURS, else eaten money is operator's only----- In my example, Vodafone has activated CRBT to my mom's secondary number without any SMS notification or anything, but since she rarely used that number for incoming, we came to know this only after four days. Further the activation by SMS is also a loophole. CC will blame you that "We have received SMS from you and then only we have activated VAS". You can prove that you have received one SMS, but how can you prove that you have NOT sent any SMS, as they can fake their system has got SMS from you??? All we can do is wait and watch... -

Good to see Sammy get rid of 2.8" QVGA screen and GB (less features) and ICS (lagging) models... But have their bolt/nuts gone to provide 512MB RAM in better model??? -

TRAI ordered MTS to inform their subscribers about the closure of service
KanagaDeepan replied to KAPILKDEV's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
I usually don't care about personal attacks over me, but since our Sougata ji is wanting response from me, (Yes, KanagaDeepan is the CYNIC here), I am here with an answer or say an explaination... Let me first show the FULL SENTENCE I have told about MTS (in this same thread at second page) around 2012-Christmas Here, I am NOT saying all MTS handsets will be paper-weights... If they are going to buy Aircel and NOT going to concentrate on CDMA (like most Indian CDMA operators), then LOCKED phones of MTS will be as good as paper-weight.. ----------------------------------- Sougata ji, you are loving your network operator soo much that you didn't get my point.. -
Happy Birthday Chirag ji...

Aircel launches ‘One Nation, One Rate’, Pioneers the concept of free roaming
KanagaDeepan replied to anshu_s09's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
But Aircel has scaled down operations in many circles incl GJ, MP, etc... Even they are said to be switching off their towers in KL, AP in low revenue areas... But it will be very helpful for many IT professionals working in Chennai and Bangalore away from their state.. With FREE onnet pack, their family members can call them for FREE and for them roaming Incoming is also FREE... -
Please suggest 4" phone with S3 features?
KanagaDeepan replied to pasumark's topic in Handset Suggestions
^^^^^^ afaik, GSM part of new Verizon world phones will never work in countries where it has CDMA tie-up for IR (In India, Verizon has tie-up with RCdma). But CDMA programming (with EVDO if having Verizon SIM on SIM slot) is possible, I guess. So Razr M shares the same fate as RazrMAXX_HD and this is the reason I have NOT upgraded and still using my MAXX for 7 months... -

Telecom Companies to hike call tariffs by almost 100%
KanagaDeepan replied to FEVIN-RAJ's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
AirHELL increasing base tariff in India is good for Africa... They shamelessly calls themselves as India's network... I too agree that TRAI will intervene for sure, if the suitcases given to them are NOT enough... Their MoU (Minutes of Usage) will get a severe beat in coming months (happened earlier)... -

Almost all my clients, friends and relatives are very eager to know full details about the 5KW solar power plant, running for few machines in my office. So I am planning to start a new thread with as many photographs (of Panels, Intelligent convertor equipment [97.5% efficiency comparing to 76-85% of others in market], backup batteries, maintenance, different change-overs and phase-selectors with volt-meter used) and few videos showing its operation, etc... But for that I have to reach my home-town again (by 30th Jan) and so please sorry for the delay again...

Apart from raw specs comparision, I would like to point out few positive points of MediaTek-Quad SoC used in Canvas_HD 1) Like Snapdragon S4 series its made using 28nm process and said to be even power-efficient Snap_S4 DualKrait 2) It NOT only has integrated chip, but also 42Mbps HSPA+ modem inbuilt 3) Plus NATIVE DualSIM with Dual_ACTIVE support 4) Not only Supports FullHD 1080p playback and recording @ 30fps, but also can handle 1080p screens 5) Integrated 4-in-1 connectivity combo WiFi-n, BT 4.0, GPS and FM Radio 6) Also supports 13MPx and/or 3D camera Source: ENGADGET Though it slightly loses to all QuadCore mobile processors (Tegra3, S4_Pro, Exynos_Quad), it beats all in power effeciency and price. Further IMHO, the real life MAX performance mile-stone is playing 1080p videos without breaking sweat (imho we can't load the phone more than that in real life [exc ofcourse gaming] and benchmarks are just for bragging rights) and this does it easily... 5" IPS LCD screen will be good for viewing videos (FullHD) and browsing. DualSIM is a great plus. I do hope carrying this huge single phone is better than carrying two mid-size phones (GNexus + RazrMAXX in my case). So its a loot for Rs14999/- (even if you need to sacrifice about after sale service as its Micromax)... I will use it for 3 months and will give it to my mom (as 5" screen is good for her eyes).

Hmmm, Sammy brought GrandDuos to fight Micromax Canvas2, but now Micromax has got a new powerful weapon CanvasHD at better price point. Even Sammy can't price it in sub 20k, as the GRAND's specs are better than S2 -- which is still being sold at 23k. Looks like its good time for Phablet lovers.... -
^^^^^^ WOW, nice specs for sub 15k phablet... All specs (except the 2100mAh battery for 5" HD IPS display + QuadCore processor) are good.. Thank God, they removed all the negative points from previous Canvas series (512MB RAM, ICS, WVGA display, etc) and retains all their pros (DualSIM 3G+2G, DualCam, FM Radio, SD slot) Even all the Canvas series phones from Micromax are easy to root and there is CWM recovery for them too. There is even mods to swap external storage with internal storage to overcome the small internal memory --4GB (2GB available to user and <1GB for apps and games). Those who are interested in this mobile, buy it once its available in online stores. Because I expect this device will get huge demand and Micromax may increae its price in next month. ---------------------------- Imagine browsing or viewing videos on 720p IPS display of size 5" and much cheaper than HTC one V or Galaxy S Duos???

What about roaming charges? Sent from my PantechP9070 using Tapatalk 2 -
Well, my small Solar Power plant (5KW) for few of my factory machines has completed yesterday and is working great. So now I can survive the 13+ hours PowerCut (PER DAY) without any issue. I AM VERY VERY HAPPY NOW... Infact this is the reason, I have to cancel my Rimweb meet and very least participation in our forum this month...
