TRAI ordered MTS to inform their subscribers about the closure of service
KanagaDeepan replied to KAPILKDEV's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
They also have buying Aircel as one of the options... In that case, it is understandable to sell off all the LOCKED stuff to users in a hurry. Later MTS users who have bought locked phones like MTag can use it as a really nice looking paper weight and MTS MBlaze will be very much useful as a microSD card-reader. (Very few users [incl. me] can unlock it and use TataCDMA or RCdma in it.) -

Read somewhere that it comes with just 512MB RAM and resolution is 800x480 (less than 150ppi)... Looking at the HUUUGE bezels, it will surely make OG Note feel tiny... At 11k, its still very costly to use it as a paper-weight (the main thing that this phone is good at)...

Reliance 2G EDGE GSM Speeds Very Slow
KanagaDeepan replied to Maulik.Parekh's topic in Data services
Well, this is the method followed by RGsm to force its EDGE users to move to their 3G service. Happened to me in MP_CG circle. -
Have you installed the necessary drivers? GNexus doesn't support mass storage mode and drivers need to be installed to connect it as media device. Other options are airdroid, usb otg cable (with stick mount app - - - needs root access)... Both already discussed in this forum AFAIK... Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

Must Have Android Apps For Your Smartphone - Part II
KanagaDeepan replied to rajanmehta's topic in Android
Just saw and bought this great new Launcher... Details: HERE Play Link: Action Launcher PRO... Move over, Apex and Nova, there is a new Action Launcher for Android in town We can never get tired of Android launchers, and days when we have brand new kids on the block are always exciting. Friday was one such day, as a brand spanking new idea appeared in the Play Store ready to be taken for a spin. The Action Launcher is done by Chris Lacy, the creator of Tweet Lanes, which is a merit alone, and introduces something the developer calls Covers, essentially souped-up folders. You tap the Contacts folder once, for instance, and the app gets launched, tap twice, and your favorite contacts appear, simple idea with a lot of practical applications like this one. The way it works in practice is a bit hit-or-miss, and the dev admits there's still work to be done with Covers. The other interesting addition is that the app drawer can be called by swiping your finger from the side of the screen, instead of delving into endless pages with app grids. Action Launcher is $3.99, and you can take it for a spin from the source link below. The great thing is that if you are using another launcher, like Apex or Nova, your homescreen layout will be kept intact and transferred to Action Launcher, so you won't have to rearrange things again.- 1,081 replies

Motorola Has Finally Released BL-Unlock Tool For Few Devices (More To Come)
KanagaDeepan posted a topic in Motorola
YAY... What a nice surprise today morning... I even pinched myself to check I am NOT sleeping still... So here is the good news... Moto has released the BootLoader Unlocking tool for some of its devices (First devices being Photon Q, Razr Developer Edition(WTF), Zoom WiFi, Zoom VERIZON(YES, NO TYPO here) ) and I hope many more will follow in near future... This is the first time Moto kept its word (wrt Photon Q BL UnLocking)... Thanks to GOOGLE... Now I am eagerly waiting for International Razr/MAXX BL UnLocking(I doubt Verizon version will get one)... When the news of Google interested in buying MotorolaMobility came I expected three things from Google viz 1) Reducing the Blurness in UI 2) BL UnLocking 3) More C+G G+G Android phones for China and India.. Thanks Google for making my two dreams come TRUE... Link here and here ===================================================== Motorola Launches “Unlock My Device” Site – Bootloader Freedom Has Come At Last (Update) by: Tim-o-tato | posted 08.17.12 | Breaking, News Double check your calendars – is it April 1st? It’s not? Then there’s been a massive rip in the space time continuum as Motorola has officially published the new “Unlock My Device” page. On the site, Motorola device owners can finally unlock their device’s bootloaders and install 3rd party software. Naturally, there are about one million warnings and hoops to jump through, but it has finally come. To unlock your device, you will need the Android SDK and Motorola’s Drivers. Once you have those things set up on your computer, it’s merely a “follow the instrcutions” type of deal. Interestingly enough, when trying to find out which devices are supported by the Unlock Tool, it took us to an “Access Denied” page here. Fantastic news going into the weekend. We’ll keep checking to see if we can get any more information regarding which devices can now be unlocked using the tool. Update: Motorola has updated their list of supported devices. There is two phones and two tablets that are currently able to have their bootloaders unlocked. Photon Q RAZR developer edition XOOM – Verizon XOOM WiFi We will continue to wait for Motorola to expand on this list. Via: Motorola -

I want to post my experience of MAXX battery life here. I am using International RazrMAXX (GSM only) bought almost 5 months back from eBay. Still I want to post it here and don't want to open a new thread in GSM-Phones discussion, because 1) Very few GSM only MAXX users here 2) Droid_RazrMAXX is almost RazrMAXX wrt GSM capability + Battery. I want to share my battery life experience for many times earlier, but my wife used to charge it on the second day itself when the battery level was around 50-60%. This time I have managed to use the phone for three days and taken screenshots and hence sharing here. Let me first describe my usage pattern. I make lots of phone calls (on UnLimited 1299 plan), play games/videos 20-30 mins a day, browse using WiFi mostly, Sync ON and DATA mostly OFF (I use BSNL 3G on GNexus), Coverage of Docomo is bad and switches to Aircel in zero coverage areas -- So NOT steady and good network signal.. But in this example, I have less voice calls usage than earlier (so comparable to general users) as I am in wedding function for two days. Result:- 3 Days - 0 Hours - 33 Mins - 3 secs on Battery and 16% battery life remaining (Please look at top for the battery Mod to accurate 16%) The slight bump in battery life is due to connecting to computer by USB cable for copying the screenshot after 2 days usage. Thats just 4-5% increase from 32% to 37% Screen Time:- Screen used 43% of battery life and Screen ON Time is 4 Hours - 12 Mins - 38 Secs Voice Calls:- Upto 28% of battery eaten by voice calls and Total duration is 4 Hours - 0 Mins - 5 Secs. Please note that even in same length of calls, calls duration in GSM will be less than CDMA as in CDMA call duration starts almost immediately after pressing Green key, whereas in GSM the duration counter starts only when the receiver attends the call. But GSM mode uses less battery for voice calls comparing CDMA mode. Games:- Playing GrannySmith for just 37 Mins - 1 Sec eats 3% of RazrMAXX battery life (May be 5-6% for other phones). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I will try to post my next usage with 2G data always ON, but in general its NOT affecting a lot imho and I earlier got FULL 2 days usage with still 25% battery life as spare. For me battery life is the most important feature in any phone and won't waste it unnecessarily. I have already rooted MAXX (in ICS) and removed bloatware to keep it in shape. I am sure RazrMAXX_HD will be having better results and I am too eager to buy it. But its Locked Encrypted Bootloader is stopping me from getting one. OMG GNexus comes with sh!tty battery life (needs to charge it twice a day) and the phones with Jumbo battery is coming with Jail attached. Now I am seriously considering GNote2, esp GNote2_N7102 Duos (launching tomorrow on PRC), which is best of both worlds (and size smaller than GNexus+MAXX combined in my shirt pocket)

^^^^^^^ It is actually their earlier good image is troubling me to believe today's online shopping websites. Timtara was very good two years back. They gave very nice deal, fast delivery, good CC, great collection of goods.. But its a thief today Flipkart, HomeShop18, Tradus, Myntra, PepperFry, ShopClues, Infibeam, are also like what Timtara was 2 years back in deal, discount, delivery, etc.. So online shopping without protection like PaisaPay on eBay is NOT 100% FOREVER reliable.
