KanagaDeepan replied to kkkooolll's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
At last after soo many follow ups and complaints, my plan got changed to this Unlimited1299 plan... Right now I am roaming and will see and report here after seeing the bill... Further is there any special APN to be used to get unlimited 2G data in this plan??? Now I am using "tata.docomo.internet" and cc is also saying the same... -

Ya... I always don't like OG Note, but Note2 is looking great... For me the following are reasons for liking Note-2 over OG Note:- 0) No Pentile RGBG Matrix in Display 1) Note-2 looks like BIG phone, but OG Note looks like a small tablet (plz see the pic in prev page) 2) Standard Resolution and 16:9 display 3) Less wide than OG Note inspite of bigger display 4) Its as powerful INSIDE as its outside/SIZE (OG Note looks weak inside for its gigantic size) 5) Bunch of GREAT Stylus features (esp hovering) 6) Split Window multitasking 7) Bigger Battery (3100mAh vs 2500mAh) 8) Relatively slimmer 9) NFC In short, (for me) OG Note is just a phone in the disguise of Tablet and Note2 is Tablet in disguise of phone...

Beam Telecom (Hyderabad Only) Tariff Plans 10Mbps @ Rs. 1000
KanagaDeepan replied to anandjm's topic in Other Broadband Discussion
^^^^^ BSNL solving broadband issues in one day ??? May be, they have too many non-permanent staffs in Ahmedabad exchanges... But once they become permanent (after a strike, when all BSNL services will get stopped -- happens once every year), the BSNL service-level will come back to normal and will start $crewing their customers... Buddy, from my experience BSNL NEVER SHOWS PARTIALITY... They treat their 25 years customers (like me) EQUALLY BAD as the new customer who got connection yesterday... Right now I am using BSNL Wimax (truly unlimited for 512kbps @ Rs750) in home and till date the downtime is 3 days per month (but no disconnections in days when internet is working)... I will close the same when the service deteriorates to usual BSNL level, that is 15 to 20 days downtime with frequent disconnections on days internet is working... Enjoy BSNL service (which is without a doubt cheap) when its working great... -
It is very BAD as Photon has received NO SINGLE Major Android OS update.. It came with GB and died with GB.. I can remember Google saying "each capable Android phone will minimum get 3 major OS updates" and now they (via their sister concern Motorola) has NOT even given SINGLE MAJOR OS update, even though the phone is very very more capable... Eg: AT&T Captivate Glide [with same Tegra2 + 1GB RAM] of Samsung received ICS update [via kies only though + more buggy, but still] and further ICS + TouchWiz is much much heavier than (wrt resources) Moto's latest ICS skin... Hence hardware can never be blamed here... Even though operators are the main culprits here, I hate to see Motorola behaving like operators's b!tch, comparing to Samsung and HTC...

I am using GNexus-16GB... Initially I had fear reg the small and limited storage space... But still I got that since my main phone is RazrMAXX.. Further the space issue is more or less solved with root + StickMount app + USB_OTG_Cable + PenDrive.. Further the MediaDevice connectivity is almost better than USB_Mass_Storage_Mode (No need to SafelyRemove, No app stored in InternalSD stops, same_or_fast file transfer, etc) BUT.... If you ask me to select a phone with 128GB internal memory + NO SD slot or a phone with 16GB internal memory + microSD slot, I will still prefer the one with externalSD slot... It makes the device to be available with ALMOST Unlimited storage space... With 10 x 64GB microSDXC cards, you have access to 640GB of storage.. Further you can have say one 16GB card for MP3 songs, 32GB cards for video songs, 64GB for something special (like important office documents, some HD movies and you need NOT worry about anyone seeing your collection)... -
Beam Telecom (Hyderabad Only) Tariff Plans 10Mbps @ Rs. 1000
KanagaDeepan replied to anandjm's topic in Other Broadband Discussion
^^^^^^ Hmmm.... You are getting sooo much data for just 1000 and you still complain for 3-days to rectify the FTTH cable (NOT their fault and solving FTTH issue is way more complicated than STP-Shielded TwistedPair of BSNL Broadband) cut issue... You must be given BSNL broadband connection, then you may say "It is amaaazing, how the beam telecom corrects the cable-break problem in JUST THREE DAYS flat"... When I got BSNL broadband, there were minimum FULL 3 to 10 days down-time every month... Still I used them as they are the only AFFORDABLE (obviously not as good as beam telecom) in my area circle... After using for few months, I closed the connection as the MAXIMUM days internet working was just (30 mins connected and then disconnection) FOR FLAT 3 to 10 days a month and 20-27 days FULL FLAT DOWN-TIME... -

TATA Walky - Prepaid Issue
KanagaDeepan replied to Mithilesh Jindal's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
No.. even emailing Deepak will never work.. at the max you will get a call from someone saying MD desk.. but even they will just give false promises and never a solution. I am talking from my experience.. It was OK when anil sardhana was head for tata. When he left, tata telecom business became useless.. ^^^^^^ Yes... The photos taken using Photon's camera is pretty BAD, when seen on PC screen... But it will be awfully fugly on its PentileLCD display... Even the videos that look lovely on EPIC (AMOLED-Pentile) and Incredible-2 (LCD) looks fugly in Photon's PentileLCD screen.. Thats why I changed my Photon in one month to CapGlide (Samsung AMOLED)...

Add this too Rajan ji... CutTheRopeHD (Not applicable for phones incl GNexus, but good for Tabs)

Sorry Dipan ji... I have to dis-agree with most of your points too... ====================================================================== That is actually a fault due to apple's choice of "FORM OVER FUNCTION".. IT IS NOT A SMALL MISTAKE to take it easily, imho... The UNUSUAL place selected for placing the antenna is a BLUNDER MISTAKE and user touching that area is NOT THE FAULT OF USER, as many users (esp left-handers) hold the phone on that spot... I agree it is not a defect of the phone... It is actually the defect of THE PHONE MAKER (phonemaker's decision to be precise)... I agree in each and every phone, if you touch antenna DIRECTLY there will be SMALL drop in signal.. So each and every cell phone maker either places antenna in two places (like Nokia in E71, in iPhone4S, etc) or atleast in places where customer rarely touches (extreme top/bottom) or uses laminate/shield to avoid DIRECT contact or combination of the three said methods... But in iPhone4 that antenna area was touched DIRECTLY VERY EASILY and it DROPS (not small drop like others) calls.. I have seen this in my friend's iPhone4 and the problem was very very much minimised after applying NAIL-POLISH on the metal gap (Laminate/shielding antenna)... This reminds me one proverb "First look at the dirt on your back... You can see others' later".. Yes, he demoed on HTC device, N97 and many devices.. BUT THAT IS NOT THE WAY people hold the phone usually.. But in case of iPhone4, the signal drop occurs even when people hold that phone normally (esp for left handers)... If that is NOT wrong, why its changed in iPhone4_Verizon and iPhone4S??? You are soo kind and less demanding to see these as good-will gestures... But what I want to say is "DID HE HAS A CHOICE AT THAT TIME?????" But, does this means only 5% phone's antenna is outside and all other phones have the antenna inside??? NO, if thats the case, it was a defect of phone and what we are seeing is the defect in phonemaker's decision... Then why that 5%??? It is because less than 5% people are left-handers... NOT exactly, but he is successful in making many people to think so, imho... [Thats another rant for another day] I 100% agree... Thats why I am NOT ready to agree it either, my friend... (And I think you are NOT referring to the Antenna when talking about BRILLIANTLY DESIGNED HARDWARE) But one thing, if JOBS was now here and he somehow approved these blunderful Maps (JUST AN assumption), I CAN SWEAR THAT HE WILL NEVER ask for APOLOGY.. ASKING APOLOGY needs combination of honesty, courage without arrogance, some cases -- necessity... Jobs had none of the above and Tim's reason is last one.. At the worst case, Jobs may say like "Even Google maps are NOT accurate in Antartica.. Nokia Maps are showing Andes mountains as flat.." But MINIMUM ATLEAST he would have blamed others like "TomTom (their Maps data supplier) cheated us with in-accurate data and am going to sue the hell-outta them.. Our data server has got corrupted and Maps will be corrected in next update" I am NOT saying Tim Cook is better than Jobs... He is asking apology NOT after he noted the blunders.. He is asking apology only after SOOO MANY users like Dipan ji and others started complaining/comparing him with Jobs and started saying "Tim is making apple ashame, After Jobs there will be NO apple anymore" (Though both are TRUE).. Both Tim and Jobs are EVIL and Tim is less EVIL than Jobs, imho... Why??? The question "Which is BIGGEST blunder? iOS6 Maps or Antennagate" is debatable [my vote to later] and may NOT have single/simple answer... But the answer to [Which is BETTER? Asking apology OR saying "YOU ARE HOLDING IT WRONG"] is simple and thats why these much rant... Again I repeat as SUMMARY:- 1. I agree iOS6 Maps is a blunder mistake 2. I beg to differ Antennagate is NOT a small blunder either (Bcoz more people use iPhone for calls than for Maps/Direction, imho) 3. I am NOT sure, if Jobs would have let iOS6 Maps out like Tim has done 4. But if point No3 done, he WOULD NEVER asked for apology as Tim, imho 5. I have explained Antennagate better and MORE HONEST than Jobs here

I don't think so.. If Jobs was there, he would have just said "You are seeing it WRONG" and will NEVER EVER say apology, imho... Even Tim Cook was equally evil, but the exact words from too many apple fans (If Jobs were there, Maps would have been released in much better state) forced him to apologize, imho...

I expected this... If they gave FREE ICS update to Atrix, then who will buy their (and AT&T's) AtrixHD? If they (Moto and Sprint) updates their Photon to ICS, then there is no need to buy PhotonQ for them... Atleast they should have released PhotonQ or AtrixHD with JB instead of ICS... Oh, I understand now... They released them with ICS so that they can release JB somehow after 6 to 9 months and say they have whole-heartedly supported these age old devices (after 9 months) and can avoid KeyLimePie altogether... My greatest anger with Motorola is, they should have atleast released their phones with Unlockable Bootloaders (like PhotonQ) to non-verizon or atleast their International versions and we need NOT run behind these d0uchebags for the update to the latest OS version... Even if owned by Google, Motorola will never change... I promise I will never buy a Moto device without unlockable BL again even if it comes with greatest of build-quality + Radios and out of the world battery life... --------------------------------------------------------------------- But Moto is also sure they can sell their new devices to these same Atrix and Photon owners by their 100$ rebate on upgrade to latest Moto Phones (When they sell their Moto phones with NO JB till 2012).. This also means they are very committed to new sales than upgrade to old phones (like every all others)...
