  4. NetConnect Data Card offer

  5. HTC EVO Design Review

How is Battery life? For a 4.3" qHD screen, 1520mAh seems low, imho... Since its a world phone from Sprint, I hope it doesn't supports USSD (like Photon), can you please confirm if USSD is working in GSM mode? Thanks...
  6. Review: Motorola Photon 4G

May be few sw (qik in Atrix1) , webtop improvements and 1080p video recording like in Atrix2 and further minimize the difference b/w MoPho and Atrix2 (that is except Pentile of MoPho)... And definitely NOT ICS or atleast for now, imho...
  7. News Snippets

This is NOTHING new for me... I have earlier seen (two times) my uncle's (retired govt staff) SB A/C with morethan 2 lakhs balance (expected is just 5000)... He complained to bank persons, who can't (or didn't care) explain and they simply said, "you can't take that amount, if you tried"... But my uncle didn't tried it (due to fear)... But I didn't checked the interest thing... The SB interest is around (not sure) 3.5% p.a....
  8. ^^^^^^ Saket ji, Afaik YES for both questions (from the post of WB users)... NOT so easy my friend, unless your native place is WB or Kolkata...
  9. One single correction... They are just caring their WB & Kolkata customers only...
  10. Please Suggest Basic "Active Dual SIM" Handset In India

^^^^ Dr sir 101 is also just Dual-Standby and NOT Dual-Active one... I am sure, because I am also using one now... Afaik only Samsung is making DualActive phones (second call comes as wait or becomes missed call, if you are on first call) if we ignore chinese phones...
  11. Information Required For Oxygen Recharge

I just want to add extra information. They allow you to add teller accounts with limited capabilities (like limited account in xp) with separate password (set by you admin). Infact account activation comes with one admin account and one teller account.. You can add any number of teller accounts later.. Basically teller accounts are for our staff in charge in the shop to do recharge when we are away.. And it will be useful if you have many shops or branches, but if usage has to be pooled from single big account..
  12. Yes... IE8 is needed for this app... They should atleast accept Chrome and firefox...
  13. Information Required For Oxygen Recharge

In postpaid-telecom HIGHEST commission is given by TataDocomo and BSNL (avoid BSNL-postpaid though) at 0.7% (70p for 100Rs bills) and lowest being AirHELL at 0.2% (20p for Rs100 bills)... In prepaid LOWEST commission is given by Vodafone 2.0% (Rs2 per Rs100 TopUp) and highest by MTNL-Mumbai at 4% , MTS at 3.5% , TataCDMA at 3.25%... TataGSM and BSNL 2.25 to 2.75%, Axis of Evil (A + V + I) has different packs/recharge/commission on each circle (only national-pack merchants like me can recharge other circle AVI users)... Obviously AVI gives lowest commission and they are planning to reduce it again in a month or two and others may follow soon... In recharge shops, the shopkeeper gets 0.5% to 1.5% more commission than oxigen merchants (obviously the difference amount was given to oxigen and oxigen-distributor/dealer here).. For Eg:- My relative is TataDocomo postpaid dealer and he gets 1.5% commission (highest in postpaid afaik) and we get 0.7% and for prepaid he gets 3.5% and we get 2.25 to 2.5% Further we can do DTH recharges for all providers... SunDirect 3.5%, Videocon 3.0%, TataSky and BIG TV 2.5%, DishTV 2 to 2.5%... And few more are there like easygo insurance, flight booking, hotel booking, etc.. But I have used none other than telecom recharges and bill-pay (postpaid)... I got this account mainly to do online recharges for my roaming circle numbers (2G/3G/EVDO data) and to pay all my postpaid bills FULL-AND-FULL for my personal use only... So commission is not a big issue for me... In the last two months I have saved Rs300 (by commission) in 60 transactions mostly TataBillPay and BSNL FULL-TT... It is much-much better than doing online-recharges.. Atleast your money is safe, if something goes wrong... But for wrong-recharges (recharges mistakely done to different numbers) only Tata and RCom allows reversal (they also may remove this anytime)... So confirm the number more than twice if you are going to be using commercially... Further there are other mode of operation for oxigen recharges like SMS, mobile MIDP app, GPRS-terminal which costs Rs1000 to Rs2500 extra (one time) apart from the Rs1800 initial deposit... Please ask if you want any more details... Thanks...
  14. Way toooo many trailers... Now the question is "When will the main picture come???"... Better they don't late anymore, otherwise next question will be "Whether the picture will come or NOT???"... Personally I don't want blah-blah-Dr-pack for Rs30 a month (they will activate that anyway without our consent) and so-so-great-video-content... Give us a decent speed internet for atleast half-decent price... We know what content to watch and where to get the same...

  16. Information Required For Oxygen Recharge

^^^^^ I am using oxigen recharge... Even I was charged one-time fee of Rs1800/- and dealer gave me his receipt and not from oxigen and he is a well-known fellow to me... So I think he may not be cheating, but check with his old customers first... Reg oxigen, it was very very useful for me (I got national) for STV, Top-up, Postpaid bill payment, etc... The best is I can recharge for my roaming circle SIMs too without any issue... The commission is less (postpaid the lowest), but we have to blame telecom operators for this... The CC is also ok (much better than telecom operator's CC)... Only BSNL-postpaid bill payment has some issues (may NOT work 80%) ans that too is fault of BSNL... Even if charged for the same and BSNL didn't accept the payment (there lies the issue) the reversal was done after complaining to CC... Still I maintain one excel file (saved in DropBox) to keep record of sales (with their Transaction ID, balance, commission, refund, etc) and this also helps in keeping track of STV validity (another page in same excel file)... So far I am happy with oxigen services...
  17. New Online Reservation Website For Indian Railways

Let them first upgrade their servers...
  18. Can I Transfer My Number From One State To Another State?

^^^^^ Yes, Rs499 for home usage only plan and 999 or 995 (depends on circle I think) gives this benefit also in roaming...
  19. Can I Transfer My Number From One State To Another State?

^^^^ Dr sir, I think he has transferred the tariff-plan from one state to other state (postpaid plan 499 R2R UL FREE) which was discontinued many months back in that state...
  20. Wow... Sir ji you are too lucky to talk continuously for TWO FULL MINUTES in Bhool Se-bhi Naghi Lena network... I used to talk less than 1 to 1.5 mins and so no issue for me (prepaid)... Yes, in cities all n/w will be good except Bhool Se-bhi Nagi Lena and in rural side BSNL is best...

  23. Docomo 3G Plans Details

^^^^ Are you sure? I am using 50Rs 2G data pack, but I am charged at Rs10/MB on (onnet) Roaming... If sure, do NOT change the plan as they might remove roaming benefit then...
  24. Though I don't have those Moto phones to try, I love the simple-to-try rooting methods... Keep them flowing in our great forum... One suggestion, if possible, please provide the source also, so that we can get more ideas from the users' experience there say reg the precautions, possible mistakes, to check if it works for new/old version android as well, etc... Thanks and +1 to you...
  25. I am starting this topic as usual after testing by myself (and as usual on my friend's device )... This is NOT like unlocking a modem using code or flashing.. This trick was posted by some nice guys in some-other forum and I am just sharing here after trying myself.. As usual all credits goes to them and am sure, I don't deserve +1 for this topic also... As usual I am posting the source(s) and video demo also... The Tera-Com modem is actually UnLocked in real... It is the "BSNL 3G.exe" dialler which is locked and it closes itself when it finds Non-BSNL SIM... To overcome this we have the following two options:- 1) Make the Dialer to behave itself using a registry tweak either manual or auto by reg file (1b) 2) Use original Dialer of that Modem Solution 1 (a) :- Open Regedit.exe (Press WinKey + R and type regedit)... Goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE--->SOFTWARE--->Linktop3G and double-click the key "Engineer" and change it to 0 from 1 .. Now your BSNL dialer will behave itself and accepts all SIMs and never closes... Just add new profiles for the particular SIM and use it... The only problem here is "THE NETWORK always shows as BSNL" though the modem actually catches the network of the SIM... Solution 1 ( :- The same process above can be automated by a .reg file.. Just download this bsnl3g-fix.reg.txt file and remove the .txt extension (I am NOT allowed to upload this type of file).. Just double-click it one and the Engineer Key is reset and you can enjoy TeraCom modem using SIMs of all networks... Solution 2 :- Download this dialer Another Teracom Dialler U302.exe and install it.. It will itself reset the Engineer key and you can use both BSNL dialer or this dialer to connect... EDIT:- Adding two new ideas below... P.S. :- Tough this trick will just unlock the Modem usage on single computer, it has one good advantage... Once this patch is applied, you can use any BSNL tera-com modem in your computer then, as dialer in the comp was patched... Better Idea to use it in any computer is just use a microSD card on the TeraCom SD slot and copy the .reg and new dialer apps on it... When need arises to use this data card in new computer, just use the patch on the microSD card... Again tried and tested by me... Thanks... Video Demo Here Source Link 1 Source Link 2
