  1. Tough this trick will just unlock the Modem usage on single computer, it has one good advantage... Once this patch is applied, you can use any BSNL tera-com modem in your computer then, as dialer in the comp was patched... Better Idea to use it in any computer is just use a microSD card on the TeraCom SD slot and copy the .reg and new dialer apps on it... When need arises to use this data card in new computer, just use the patch on the microSD card... Again tried and tested by me... Thanks...
  2. Thanks Rajan Bhai, I have ordered one (BELKIN Universal car USB Charger) for myself... +1 to you...

  5. Lets Ask Arun

Arun ji, is there anyway to disable my tweets to be shown here in Rimweb as status update? I once logged in Rimweb using my twitter-id (curiosity) and then onwards this is happening... In old version of our forum, there was an option to send status update as tweet to twitter (which I have never used) and now I have no way to enter status update via Rimweb and no way to control my tweet showing here.. Not a big issue, but still want to know if solution exists???
  6. Ok... Parin ji, thank you bringing the news here... Can you bring the phone also here to Rimweb after its launched???
  7. Review: Motorola Photon 4G

Kumaar sir, USSD is the main issue in Sprint world-edition phones... I have read in some (USSD Dialer) app review that if the operator (both GSM and CDMA -- In India MTS supports USSD in CDMA afaik) supports USSD, the dialer will work and it said it will work for BigRED and NOT for Sprint.. Earlier in my earlier VerizonBB 8830WE, USSD works beautifully in GSM mode (after calls, bal check, etc) and heard Sprint WE BB won't allow USSD... So I think the issue is more in Sprint than in Moto, imho... Further our Rehman ji's post above proves the same... Thats the main issue right now in Photon... But luckily my BSNL prepaid number shows last 5 call details + balance and data-balance by SMS... Further reg rooting, I have tried one simplest method (the same script method automated by batch file in command prompt -- almost like a one-click method -- thanks to XDA) in my friend's Photon... If forum-friends want, I am ready to post it here in Moto sub-forum on Sunday/Monday as I am busy for 2 days...

  10. Suggestions Required For Buying Refrigerator

I am using Whirlpool Proton (3 door model) in my home, its very good and NO issues... Only problem is the bottom door (for vegetables) won't have a lock (even main lock doesn't lock it ) and you should watch your babies... Otherwise a great refrigerator... Reg service issues, I have not experienced one (bought on May2011 only) and I guess it may differ from town to town... Whirlpool service is NOT bad in my town wrt my xp in Whirlpool washing machine... Hope this helps (or confuses more)...

Also I have bought another app for 1Euro today...

  16. Airtel Launches Unlimited 3G High Speed Data Card Plan – Airtel Super 950 Bharti Airtel today announced the launch of new 3g data plan “Airtel Super 950” in Rajasthan telecom circle. This unlimited 3G high speed USB data card plan is priced at only Rs. 950/month and the customer will get a speed of upto 7.2 MBPS for first 6 GB data as a promotional offer. Airtel 3G is available across 42 towns in Rajasthan and “Airtel Super 950” plan will give best value for money with unlimited data (6 GB) at best or higher speed to airtel’s high-end 3G data users. The 3G high speed USB data card “Airtel Super 950” plan offers speed up to 7.2 Mbps that is more than double of the speed offered by CDMA. In Rajasthan circle, CDMA/EVDO data service provider MTS, is most preferred data network for Data Card or Wireless Broadband users, So it seems, to counter the MTS offerings, Airtel bring this plan to the peoples of Rajasthan. Beyond 6 GB, unlimited free downloading speed at 20 kbps. The offer will be valid till 3G Double Dhamaka offer lasts (till 31st Dec 2011), after which the high speed data would be only 2.5 GB. Source :- Telecomtalk.info So few catches are:- 1. 7.2Mbps upto 6GB till 31-Dec-2011 2. Later 7.2Mbps upto 2.5GB 3. On Rajasthan circle only 4. after the 6 or 2.5 GB, you will get ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT-TRULY-UNLIMITED-3G at 20Kbps (yes kilo-bits per second) Sorry friends, but I can't resist my sarcasm...
  17. Best Network In Delhi?

^^^^^^ Yes... Even 2G spectrum is NOT allocated to them in Delhi circle (though they have got license)...
  18. Wow... Transfer contacts of Nokia to Android using SE sw... Great dosth... +1 to you...
  19. Best Network In Delhi?

^^^^^ (OffTopic) @rachitgpt Brother we don't have 160 character limit (like SMS) per post in RimWeb... So please type fully and avoid confusing fellow rimwebians... (ON-TOPIC) to topic-opener Please get one prepaid SIM of your choice and check the coverage and call quality in places you use your mobile mostly... It will be 1000 times better than getting suggestion from others.. There is also a mild chance that "THE BEST operator in your circle" may NOT be giving good coverage in your places of interest (interference and soo many possibilities are there).. So try and buy...
  20. Review: Motorola Photon 4G

I have attached the corrected wpa_supplicant file, which has to be first extracted from the zip file as RimWeb doesn't allow me to upload that file (without extension) directly... Obviously, this is for rooted users only... Then using RootExplorer (uploaded in Android sub-forum) copy this wpa_supplicant file to "/system/bin" dir... OH, just before pasting the file, click the button "Mount R/W" to give Read/Write permission and then copy the file.. This is the direct method without using the scripts to force Android to accept Adhoc-Wifi... Extract this zip file to get Wpa_supplicant file.zip
  21. Is it true?? Inc2 supports 3G Video calling??? Using the stock dialer or any other special s/w??? Why I am asking is I heard that most Android phones of USA (n/w provided) doesn't supports 3G-video calls (even AT&T Atrix as told by Parin ji)??? Please reply...

  24. Photon is the winner imho... + of DInc2:- 1) Universal-Phone 2) Sense [not much if we use Go or other launchers/locker/widgets in Photon] 3) light-weight 4) RGB display for purists 5) USSD support for GSM + of Photon:- 1) Future-proof DualCore processor and huge RAM (Hope for ICS high with Google's love for MotoMobility) 2) Big Screen (with Gorilla glass) and better resolution for browsing and videos 3) Kickstand + MX videoPlayer == superb video xp 4) Better battery life 5) Beauty (Unique and NOT looks same like other phones) 6) Huge Internal memory 7) Though comp. heavy, it feels nice in hand esp rubbery back (and built like a tank) 8) Good voice clarity (even for BSNL-2G) may be due to two-mics (active noise cancellation???) not sure... -ve of Both:- 1) CAMERA quality... 2) No 3G video-calling...
