^^^^^^^ Even if BSNL was given 700MHz spectrum for BWA, it can't do anything useful to subscribers... BSNL is having 900MHz spectrum for GSM--2G services and has more number of towers than any other operator in India, but still it has in-building coverage problems.. My office is just 200m from BSNL tower, but has in-building coverage problems... Aircel which has its 3G tower 1KM away from my office has good coverage... Now what can we say??? Further EV-DO is available in my town for years, but even my home-terrace (third floor of my home) doesn't have EV-DO coverage... So if BSNL can't effectively make use of 850MHz, then its NOT fault of spectrum...

They will say like "ONE INDIA--ONE CALL CHARGE--ONE RUPEE per minute" or 2.4p/sec by Cartel and 2p/sec by new players... To attract local call users they may launch 50p/min or 1p/sec for a booster pack of value Rs95/month...

Tariffs and asked about the possibility of PENALTY upto 2Lakhs and what is the change in TRAI rule as given in their website???" He said 1. 35p per SMS will be charged.. (actually costly for bulk-sms service, but with dnd no sending facility its dead-cheap) 2. There is no REAL change in TRAI rules (upon asking him too much details and for written confirmation, he accepted this fact) Then I asked him about the penalty to which he asked "sir, have you got penalised b4?? Never isn't it??".. I replied "earlier there no SMS limit and trai was not so serious, but now with sms limit and customer awareness, customers will complaint on trai website and we may get penalised..." and his simple reply is "sir simply signup our service... If customer complaints to trai, trai will fwd that to operator and operator will call us [but NEVER put penalty] and you will be safe for sure..." From what he has said, I can simply understand that 1. TRAI is worthless either beating the bushes or NOT really in mood to help customers 2. operators won't change their mind-set from looting the customers (they are actually protecting the bulk-sms people) 3. Customers are scape-goats...

Nothing is new to us, the 1GB RAM, DualCore processor on SLOW 1GHz ;p 8MPx cam, 1080p video, TINY 3.5" screen, voice search, not even HSPA+, let alone 4G (WiMax/LTE), 9.3mm THICK, DualMode world edition, cloud services, double antennae, blah blah blah... NOTHING new... I think this (TOO LITTLE---TOO LATE) is the reason Jobs left b4 its launch... Not enough even for apple fanboys to rejoice...

Rajan bhai, cool down... I agree I am very hard to please, comparing others... But I don't think I am demanding too much... I demand EV-DO from TATA in my home-town, which is NEITHER remote village NOR low-revenue one (so other 3 operators have EV-DO here, one after another) too... I ask them for less congestion in CG for 2 months.. Even I DON'T demand good handsets from them (as they will NEVER provide).. I am NOT demanding for increased coverage for voice, but WHY are they switching off towers (Few Eg: AelayiramPannai, Tumshar Road in nights, etc...) in areas where there used to be great coverage earlier??? And I am not keen on cheap tariffs.. Actually MTS is much much cheaper than TataIndicom here (with FREE onnet + 0.5p/sec others Local/STD + Roaming Incoming FREE), but I have not selected them as they DON'T have their own network in many places (uses same cr@ppy Tata nw in CG again)... I know I have to pay more after this porting and I am more than happy to do so to get better services... All I want is HONEST OPERATOR (this may be asking too-much by today's standard -- but I am NOT ready to sacrifice this) having good coverage in towns (and improving) with good data and roaming options... Rajan saab, I am more than sad to leave CDMA, but I have no other good choice right now... Yes, there are other few issues in CDMA operators apart from high-end handsets and that is in short "THEIR LACK OF INTEREST IN DEVELOPING THEIR OWN CDMA BUSINESS"... (All Dual-Tech operators are investing more and more in their GSM wing only, imho)
