Good TVS (True Value Store) dealer... 3. Nice friend in Retention Dept... If even any ONE of above points was removed, I will leave TATA the next day....

Friends go for Olive wireless pocket-router (I have bought from Saket)... It is simply best and you can use any USB modem (after simple initial configuration)... Let us avoid LOCKED ones...

Karthik ji, I think GB is needed for making video calls on 3G... So lack of secondary cam is expected in this eclair phone.... Anyway phone is NOT AT ALL worth the price, even with the Walkman tag, imho... It will be OK if and only if it is priced around 6 to 7k and with froyo.... Else

As I am their star customer, they can't say NO to me... Get ready to fight with them for the first 2 months 15GB data FREE... Even TATA is behaving like AirHELL nowadays...

Exactly... They are saying "We need more money for building infra, blah blah blah..." But they are INCREASING TARIFFS ONLY in circles where they are already filthy rich... The new circles where they have few customers and very few towers (simply where needs development) they are NOT increasing the tariffs... So I think this is time the new players can take it as a great opportunity to gain more subscribers via MNP...

Get ready to invest some money in more towers... Docomo is like a Domestic pet animal... It has NO signal immediately after the city limit... Docomo has good (or at the least OK sort of) coverage in Sivakasi and also in Virudhunagar, but has ZERO coverage in the village AAMATHUR between them (NOT EVEN on the SH road connecting SVK and VNR)...

Surely quality of networks (AFRICAN Airtel) will increase as a result... My guess why Airtel has started increasing tariff suddenly is "THEY EARLIER HAS SIMPLE METHOD TO LOOT customers by auto VAS ACTIVATIONS... NOW TRAI is taking steps to stop this..." So AirHELL is following this method to maintain that looting money continuously... Simple, isn't it???

I expected this right from the launch... TRAI's guidelines prevent from having Addon/booster pack to get roaming incoming benefits and they don't bother about tariff plans with the benefit... Even BSNL Plan1500 has UnLimited roaming Incoming calls for years and now Plan525 has 200mins of roaming incoming calls... RCom also had Roam450 and 999plan (I think, Hitesh ji is using it) both with UnLimited Roaming calls FREE... Earlier TataCDMA also had an addon-pack in postpaid with rent Rs150 for 750mins (after that at 50p/min---Rs1/min without pack) of Roaming incoming calls FREE.. Then on TRAI's intervention, they later stopped those packs and introduced new plans with Unlimited and Limited Roaming Incoming FREE plans like Roam450 (Unlimited FREE), CallIndia399Roam (2000 mins FREE--am using now), Logistics plan (2000In and 500Out Roaming mins FREE--used earlier)

Lag in booting is a common thing in blackberrys or atleast before BB OS6.. Even I just plug in the battery in my bb and will have my breakfast.. During my return, the final security checking screen will be showing.. Further there will not be much reboot issues in bb to worry about/encounter this lag And finally a bb phone with worst battery life is any day better than a high end android (even atrix with 1900mAh battery) with best battery life, if we consider just the battery life Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk

I registered for this on the first day of launch itself without any issues... But when my BIL tried next after half an hour (after restarting modem + computer) he can't register, reasons session expired, NO SMS code, etc... Further the speed/performance of this website is also NOT that good or can say only as good/bad as irctc only... I think instead of launching new websites, IR should upgrade their server to handle the ever increasing user requests...

Ganesan sir, please dont get fooled by numbers.... If battery life is your main condition, then I think you have no good option than BB... As I have used both (BB & Android) CDMA phones, I can say BB with 1200mAh battery will give MUCH MUCH better battery life than that of any HIGH_END_1GHz/+ Android phones with 1500mAh battery...

I am now using OLIVE WiFi Router vR9 with MTS MBlaze USB modem (also Huwaei 3G Modem with Docomo 3G) without any issue... It is better than using any sw, because even I earlier had problems with Spotify + MBlaze in my Win7 Lappy...

In TN it is Rs54 STV... On doing 54 booster, the message comes as "Voice booster 65 <<OLD BOOSTER RATE>> is activated"... Another method is we have to send "VOICE65" <<SAME OLD RATE FOR 10p BOOSTER>> to 53733 <<still Rs54-S.Tax only gets deducted>> and if we send "VOICE54" the request will be rejected.... I wonder, when will BSNL_TN correct this... Another VERY STRANGE AND FUNNY PROBLEM in BSNL with the Rs12 ROAMING INCOMING STV... I have activated Rs12 STV for my brother in law on 4-JULY and to my number on 8-JULY... Then my BIL was NOT charged for roaming incoming calls (Rs0.00 for all incoming roaming calls)... But I was charged 1p PER CALL IRRESPECTIVE OF DURATION for roaming_incoming_calls Yes, the difference is very very negligible, but still it means roaming incoming is NOT 100% FREE (but 99.99% FREE )... May be there is some error in their system or they have changed their policy within those 4 days... VERY VERY FUNNY...

Obviously NOT everytime/everywhere... But in my hometown, I have never got low speeds like 800kbps or 1Mbps ... Minimum I am getting 1.5Mbps speeds... May be due to very few users in my area... But in my friends home (very near to tower) he always get around 600 to 800 kbps speed only...

So even if you are an old customer, you will be charged 2p/sec for STD calls after completion of first year.... TATA has become MAD... Friends go for some juice-up packs with STD charge 1p/2sec or 1p/sec charges to be worry-free... I am using Rs66 STV with 1p/2sec Local/STD all network for 3 months... Will check and tell here, if STD is 2p/sec after the booster validity, since I am their customer for more than a year...

Thank you Docomo... Now I can go for BSNL without any hesitation...

Sorry for the VERY VERY late attendance this time... I have been busy three days... SPEED + CHEAP Tariff:- Ganesan sir, in Sivakasi MTS rocks (even comparing RCom NetConnect+)... I am getting speeds upto 2Mbps max almost everytime... They are having more EVDO towers than RCom and TATA... Please use "Broadband Mode" and avoid using "Hybrid mode" while NOT in move, as you may get lesser speeds... Even while travelling in train, I use "1x mode" than "Hybrid Mode"... COVERAGE:- So reg speed, MTS is good... But when it comes to coverage, RCom is the king... I think our VNR district is almost having BLANKET_COVERAGE of RCom EVDO... Even BSNL is poor when comparing EVDO coverage of RCom in TN.... GREAT SPEED + CHEAP Tariff + ZERO_RELIABILITY:- BSNL 3G and EVDO... No more words are needed to explain why...

Only TATA and RCom are allowing FREE/cheap_1p SMS while roaming... Infact TATA counts roaming SMS as National SMS... If you have FREE STD_SMS, then roaming SMS will be FREE and if you have just Local_SMS FREE (using some pack) then your roaming SMS will be charged... Even BSNL doesn't counts roaming SMS under FREE_SMS_Count... I am 100% sure and have tested all SMS packs myself (incl 1p sms, 53Rs 10k_SMS_for_60 days, 2k sms).... I am from TN Circle...
