Thats a bl00dy typo in that webpage... Let me clearly explain things... 1) Once there was one STV that gives 1p/3sec (20p for 60 sec) LocalOnnet in every circle (Rs54 in TN)... Now this booster was REMOVED, but BSNL changes this STV as 10p/min LocalOnnet Booster... That is now Rs54 STV gives 10p LocalOnnet in TN... Please check with this STV in your circle (1p/3sec_BSNL_Local -----> 10p_BSNL_Local) ==== So Earlier high cost STV for 10p_BSNL_Local was reduced and 1p/3sec_BSNL_Local was REMOVED... 2) There is one STV which gives Local+STD onnet at 20p/min... In TN it is Rs47 STV... In the webpage that is shown under Rs50 STV, but with ONE_BIG_BLUNDER_MISTAKE that is at 10p/min (WRONG) instead of 20p/min (CORRECT) Since I am now using both STVs (one in my number and other in my office staff's number) I can confirm them both...

Imho, this offer is NOT that great... For the NET_RENTAL of ALMOST Rs1000, they are giving just 2.5GB data <<..OK..>> + 500 LOCAL_Offnet_Mins === Rs150 <<Calculated at 30p for Local call>> (other freebies are just FREE SMS, Onnet_Local, onnet_videoCalls which costs nothing to them)...

I am also following most of the steps told by Rajan CID ji to my EPIC from Day ONE... I use the lowest brightness settings and switch off Data (use it only when needed) both using QuickSettings app shortcut in desktop... But my usage will be heavy... 1.5 to 2 hours of voice calls daily... Net usage for one hour at night.. I am getting 1.5 days of backup, which is still the lowest of all devices I have used, but great for an Android phone... The SuperAMOLED screen is superb even in LOWEST settings for Indoor usage and I use the max setting in DIRECT-SUNLIGHT (thanks again to QuickSettings)... Though I am sure about good backup (1.5 days), I used to TopUp the phone battery whenever I get a chance and will never allow it to drain fully.... But CID sir, a great effort from you and thanks for sharing to us... +1 to you...

Friends, the new STVs will work for NEW customers from 21/6/2011 and for OLD customers, it will work from 1/JULY/2011 ONLY... This is for TN customers... Please confirm this for your circle...

Oh.. Oh... Come on friends... 20k is still very very expensive to an almost outdated phone with just 8GB storage and NO WAY TO INCREASE it.. I am using TWO 16GB MicroSD cards in my EPIC and still I can expand whenever I wish to... And further I always carry spare battery with me, but that wont be possible with that i thingy... If they are NOW selling iPhone-4___16GB for 20k INR, then I can agree to some extend the "APPLE DECLARES A PRICE WAR".... Else the fact remains a fact "iDevices are too costly and NOT worth the price, imho"... Please DO NOT compare the prices with operators' RIDICULOUS_DAY_LIGHT_ROBBERY_PRICES.... If you compare them, everything will be cheaper...

@ Kesav ji... That list is a complete JOKE... Till now they have NOT YET launched EV-DO in MADURAI... But showing some park, beach locations in their list.... Even Tata has became BIG FAT LIARS...

Also whether it can be activated again and again in the same day??? Say after completing 250MB, again do a recharge of Rs20 for next 250MB FREE????? Compare this with the Rs96 Unlimited with 500MB FREE EV-DO offer...

Yes... I am using Ch@t322 DualSIM qwerty phone... It has NO EDGE and hence browsing on phone is like,,, OK---Leave it...

Dr.Vinay and many others can give good judgement of RCDMA's network in MP+CG circle... But he may NOT see this thread (TataCDMA)... Please post in RCom's thread to get immediate results...

After the cost, the other dis-advantages are Lack of Hardware_Soft_Keys and LCD_Touch (NOT AMOLED) screen... Otherwise this phone is ok-ok type with VGA screen (640x480), 1500mAh battery, slim and beautiful, Comes with JoikuSpot_Premium (first S60 phone to come with) for WiFi tethering..

Always DON'T doubt Tata... Their (esp network locked) CDMA handsets are always useless...

In Tata CDMA, once number is activated on OMH RUIM, data will work automatically and no one in back-end needed to activate it like in Reliance CDMA... So not needed for Tata Indicom, imho... But the only problem with TATA Indicom is getting OMH RUIM (especially for postpaid)

Still not at all an achievement, Kesav Ji... Tata has good EVDO coverage in Assam/NE/Orissa only, where as MTS has least coverage in those areas.. That is the main reason, Tata has overtook MTS in NUMBERS easily... TATA has NOT EVEN A SINGLE CITY covered with EV-DO in MP+CG circle...

I can't figure out why people are so sure NOKIA will be successful if they entered Android... What I think is they can't light a candle near the speed at which Samsung/HTC even MOTO/LG are moving... Friends it is the NOKIA, which always bring RETARDED FLAGSHIPS... Remember N97 or N96??? They are too KANJOOOS to give more RAM or good processing power to even their flagships... I am sure an N97 with CAPACITIVE touch + 256 MB RAM (it has 128MB only) + 600MHz processor (at its release) would have received less bashings from tech-sites... But they repeated the same mistake to N97 mini too... Even if they introduced one Android device as flagship, can you guess the specs??? It will be 256MB RAM like in N8 (less than that of POP), 800MHz processor, 3.5" HVGA screen, 1200mAh battery like in N8... The only saving grace will be a GOOD camera comparing any android phone makers... Sure they are having plans to release DualCore WP7 phone, but when??? When Sammy and HTC starts offering quadCore CPU equipped phones... Another thing, they release one FLAGSHIP (SURELY under speced) once every TWO years... Under speeced S60 phone is no issue as their users are NOT that tech-savvy or geeks as android users... If they entered Android race, surely they would have lost, imho... So NOKIA NOT-SELECTING Android is good for both Android and Nokia...
