  1. Samsung Galaxy POP CDMA

Good Info Fevin bhai... +1 to you... Last year I gifted SamsungCorby for my wife for her birthday... Am planning to give GalaxyPOP_CDMA for her this year B'Day... By that way, my EPIC will stay with me all time, while in Sivakasi...
  2. I suppose Call Needs To Be Initiated First For Call Drops To Happen!!! Very Very TRUE...
  3. Samsung Epic 4G - No Browsing From Phone

Wrong info. There are a few lucky users like me, who are using imported handsets on Tata. Ha ha... Sougata Ji... Like we talked earlier today, these lucky days are going to get a halt within a year or two, if TATA didn't change their policy (or at-least wrt Android phones)...
  4. MTS Launches Android Phone MTS Pulse

I mean the 1500 FREE minutes should also include calls in Roaming (In and OUT)...
  5. MTS Launches Android Phone MTS Pulse

If the 1500 minutes includes roaming, then I am ready to jump from my BSNL number to MTS... EDIT:- NOT FOR Roaming and so NOT for me...
  6. The Spectrum Tussle - Cdma V Gsm

So MDA's PAN INDIA BWA license on 2100MHz is NOT that much nice decision or what??? I have read somewhere here that AirHELL is urging in freeing up of 700MHz for further BWA auctions, behind the scene??? But then, MDA may block such moves behind the scenes then ... One thing is VERY CLEAR... We Indians' thirst for good Internet speed at reasonable rates will never be quenched in near future (Even MDA has to get back all those money before 700MHz auction)....
  7. 18k crores in 3 years??? MAN, AirHELL paid just 12k crores for 20years 3G licenses and crying like they have paid too much money and very difficult to get it back soon... But here, on average 500 crores every month???? Target segment/customers of T24 (buyers from BigBazaar, etc) resides in metros/cities only, and their tariffs are NOT that mouth-watering for common/mango people (FREE TT is OK, but purchasing goods in BigBazaar means NOT mango man's cup of Tea).. Further they are saying about 10-MILLION customers??? But that can be easily achieved by fake activations But, then how come they can get 18k crores from T24 alone??? Atleast they should teach such techniques to Tatas and ADA, who are in deep thirst for revenue (Tata has thin margins and ADA has morethan 50kC loans)... Even if they currently have 1CRORE customers, they should get Rs500 AVERAGE REVENUE from ALL OF THEM, to get the so called 18k crores revenue in 3 years... BIG FAT LIARS... May be they are trying to use T24 to change their 18k crore money from black to white??? May be Govt should probe many foreign banks and we can expect such wonders in India often...
  8. CDMA iPhone 4 Is Here!

Yes... That is the only hope in this case, imho...
  9. CDMA iPhone 4 Is Here!

From what I have heard, Apple is trying for SIM-less phone even for GSM iPhones in future... Then how we can expect that, they will bring OMH-RUIM based CDMA iPhones here in China/India???? I doubt whether, iPhone will change their policy for India (a small market wrt sales of LEGAL GSM iPhones)...
  10. MNP Retention Offer You Received

Haha, Rajan bhai... But this achievement is nothing when comparing to what you have got from the KANCHOOS Vodafone , imho... Yes, I know the golden words "Murgha se Andaa laelo... Kaatna Nahi..." and I know when to stop beating, so that they won't die and give me further good offers after say reduction in IUC... Further, they didn't get my sign on contract for retaining in their network for 6 months minimum (a practice followed by TataCDMA atleast afaik) and to avoid getting FEW MORE EXTRA FREEBIES during that 6 months period apart from the retention offers ... So still I can beat them a little more and they can survive ...
  11. Vodafone 3G Update

Oh.. Thats why they are saying "SMARTER, BETTER and faster" Further we should NOT forgot that VODA is the last one to offer 2GB GPRS @ Rs98/- and before that they provided GPRS packs around Rs250 for 100MB, which is EVEN COSTLIER THAN CDMA 1x plans...

  13. MTNL Mumbai Broadband Bonanza

  14. Nokia's New Smartphone E7

A dozen reasons WHY it is better to go for EVEN N8 at Rs23k than E7… 01) With SWYPE (coming to S^3) real KB is NOT a must (also portrait qwerty touch KB also coming this month).. 02) N8 got QuickOffice EDIT in its latest sw update 03) Has 16GB InternalStorage + USB_OTG + MicroSD_Slot (No SD slot in E7) 04) N8’s AF camera is best for Business apps like “BusinessCard reader”, “Barcode reader” than the Camera/Joke in E7 05) E7 has big 4″ screen, but for the (640x360) LOW resolution (comparing Android/iPhone) N8’s 3.5″ is GOOD enough for that resolution 06) N8 also has AMOLED screen like E7 (Though E7 has CBD, still N8 display is very good even in direct-sunlight) 07) Both N8 and E7 has 1200mAh BL-4D battery, but due to small screen, N8 has better battery life.. 08) N8 smaller/lighter/slimmer than E7 09) N8 MUCH MUCH cheaper than E7 10) Atleast we can replace battery in N8 ourself using StarScrewDriver (and NOT that much simple in E7 case) 11) N8 has xenon flash for great indoor and low-light photography 12) CameraGlass and LoudSpeaker are NOT recessed in E7 resulting in still bad cam performance and low volume of speaker when lying on flat surface... Apart from the differences above, rest of all E7 advantages are ALSO present in N8 like Penta_Band_3G, HDMI_Mini with necessary accessory, LifeTime_FREE_Navigation, Aluminium_UniBody, RAM/Processor/OS, Accelerometer/Compass/Proximity_Sensors, GorillaGlassDisplay, active_noise_cancellation via second mic, 720p video recording, etc… So why go for COSTLY one??? So friends who (if anyone here) wants to buy E7, please go for N8 instead...

  18. source :: http://biz.zeenews.com/news/news_content.aspx?newscatid=4&newsid=21912 The highlighted aspect is too discriminatory to tolerate. Let RIM be taught in a hard way that India is not so weak.... Actually BB services should be banned even if they come with the req solution later, for cheating the govt and wasting their time...
  19. MTS Mblaze becomes more cheaper

I heard that MTS has launched a MBlaze postpaid EV-DO plan with 10GB usage FREE on 3x for rent of Rs800/- (in KOL or RoWB, not sure) I am expecting that sort of plan from them and other CDMA players..
  20. MTNL Mumbai Broadband Bonanza

The plan 497 with 10p/MB after 5GB is good, imho...
  21. Nokia X1-00 Music Phone

Oh... Cool down, Raccoon bhai, our beloved AngryBird of RimWeb and your avatar also reminds the upcoming MightyEagle version of AngryBirds... (Take it lightly mera dhosth.. I am just trying to compliment you, seriously) This is just Nokia's way of competing those Chinese handsets which are dearly eating their market share in lower-end segment and WITHOUT earning BAD-NAME from their European operators (who stops them from releasing DualSIM mobiles like the MNP-Styled much-much delayed C2)... I have NO-Complaints on Nokia in the case of X1 NOW, because "NOKIA USUALLY GIVES PHONES WHAT THEY WANT THEIR CUSTOMERS TO USE and NOT what the customer wants".. But here for the first time Nokia brings the phone "what the lower-end phone users love" like say "Flash light, FM, MP3, LOOOOUD-SPEAKER, BIGGGGER BATTERY, MemoryCard", etc... Even I have been looking for one Ultra-low-end GSM handset for listening to MP3 songs with my Sennheiser headsets for my BSNL number (I stopped using HighEnd handset for BSNL after they increased/DOUBLED default data charges + my baby killed the mic of my E90 with her nectar/amrut/saliva ).. Am using EPIC for Videos only.. Just last week only, I have bought NokiaC1-02 and am very happy with it... It has all those features I want for a backup phone such as 01. Good 1020mAh battery, 02. Good network coverage, 03. OperaMini for occasional browsing, 04. 16GB card support, 05. MicroUSB port, 06. USB-Mass storage mode, 07. 3.5mm Audio jack, 08. decent looks, 09. cheap/VFM, 10. FM Radio with recording facility, 11. BT with A2DP, 12. Decent MP3 player sw, 13. NO CAMERA <<As a long time 9210i/9300 user, I dont care much about camera>> 14. Good LoudSpeaker volume, 15. Great buttons for SMSing, 16. ActiveStandby style home screen, 17. Flight Mode <<Must for long train travels>>, 18. Need to Press Exit TWICE in USSD (Thats actually a bug, but very much useful for me ) 19. Chat style Threaded SMS 20. Compatible games and apps (Java) from mobiles24.com for QQVGA (128x160) screen Though I miss the flashLight in it, the "LightTheWay" app in EPIC compensates it FULLY... I am thinking of writing reviews about the phones I bought in Feb (C1-02, Ch@t322 for my BIL, X5 for my wife) but with very very tight schedule I didn't get much time to do the same... Even X1 has almost all the above features (except the BT <<NOT SURE>>, microUSB, FM-Recorder) PLUS 01. ExtraLARGE 1320mAh battery (Even E7 has Non-replacable 1200mAh one), 02. FlashLight 03. Dedicated MusicKeys 04. VERY LOUD Speaker 05. Talking Clock (Fun and sometimes useful) 06. Better Audio Quality 07. Still much much cheaper There is a rumour that X1-00 has BT with A2DP also... If so, then I will surely buy one when it reaches my town... From the video, I guess NOKIA is very sure about this model to be as successful as 1100 was earlier ... ----------------------------------------------------- Hats off to Nokia for bringing the Jumbo battery to lower-end handsets for the first time... Earlier Nokia usually gives LOW capacity--FATTY BL-5CB (800mAh) to low-end phones like 1616, 1280, even though they are compatible with SAME_SIZE-MORE_CAPACITY BL-5C (1020mAh) battery... Because, I repeat "NOKIA GIVES CUSTOMERS WHAT NOKIA WANTS THEM TO USE AND NOT WHAT CUSTOMER WANTS"... Good to see, things are changing now .. Now I am waiting for Nokia to release a low-end phone with BP-4L battery (1500mAh capacity) with or without camera...
