Actually they should NOT charge more than the rent in that Platinum plan... If the speed is capped or NOT is their issues and NOT YOURS... But since it is Reliance, ANYTHING is possible...

He is a RCdma postpaid distributor... So he has access to some extra infos reg RCdma postpaid users, eg: UnbilledUsage, CreditLimits, etc...

Ya atleast Tata's GSM network is good (wrt voice call quality + tariffs --- NOT wrt COVERAGE), but in case of Reliance, chances of RCdma customers ported to RGsm will not be high, because of very bad voice clarity of RGsm, imho... I have seen many friends and relatives in TataCDMA moving to TataGSM in my town...

Further I have heard in TATA_CDMA that many customers who ported out from TATA_Indicom are going for TataDocomo mainly, due to very very limited handset choices... I dont know about RCdma port-outs though...

My god... You are in Nagpur and you are porting to RGSM???? Have you checked the network and quality of voice calls???? From my earlier experience (even in december), RGSM voice quality is still much much worse than BSNL...

Very much possible dosth... Initially I thought that, they will offer VOIP calls for voice services and dirt cheap ISD calls, ofcourse after some activities behind the scenes to force govt to approve it...

Very TRUE, Rajan Bhai... +1 for you... Further friends, TataCDMA (26,251) has MORE PORT-OUT (Port_In also) than RCDMA (23,264)... May be due to very very less handset choices (even comparing RCdma) and less EV-DO coverage... I am also going to move from TataCDMA (all 10 connections) next month, since they refused to give me good 1x plans... Bye bye CDMA... May be they are really going to sell themselves to MTS...

Actually Raccoon bhai, there are too many rich people who use to give the 1000Rs notes to their child for making paper ship and use them on water... For them, this is a very very great offer... Instead of wasting the 1000Rs note one by one slowly, they can do it all at once using Airtel MONEY...

Today I got reply from the social @.... They said sorry for the inconvenience blah blah blah and said "WILL LOOK INTO THE ISSUE"... Hmmm, I wonder how many days they will need to resolve the issue???

That is NOT true sir... Please dont look at false-half_Baked media hype and come to a conclusion immediatelt... Even though number of ported customers are very small in range of 3 or 4%, 1. almost half of current subscribers are either secondary numbers or fake activations only.. That brings 3-4 to 5-6% 2. Many people are having initial fear and ONLY trying with trial numbers.. (Like me testing my Airtel to BSNL first and then all my TataCDMA to BSNL next) 3. Most ported people will be higher ARPU postpaid users, for whom NUMBER IS VERY IMPORTANT... So even 1% of them leaving a network will blow operators in some way.. 4. In order to retain Higher-ARPU subscribers, telecom cos are giving retention plans, which itself is a good example of INCREASE IN COMPETITION.. But we have to note that, those subscribers wont come into the 3-4% Ported list... 5. Further 3-4% of 70Crore is also NOT AT ALL A SMALL NUMBER... 6. After initial-rough edges are removed, there will be many serious porting... 7. Higher ARPU users have got ANY-TIME threatening weapon, in the form of MNP... But the only problem is NOT many are aware of the use of powerful weapon... Whenever I see my relatives or clients (who are NOT in a mood to port or not much aware/care of MNP) using higher rent plans, I just send PORTING SMS from their handset and tell them "CC people will call you asking the reason for leaving, just say HIGHER TARIFFS and you will get discounts"... Similarly I have done to more than a dozen people now and ALL (NOT A SINGLE PERSON LEFT WITHOUT OFFERS) HAVE got nice offers like Rs100 discount for 3 months and sooo on... But I do hope, the awareness will increase in course of time and we can get the benefits, especially when the new operators increase coverage (MTS, Videocon, Uninor, Docomo) and let us wait and watch...

I can't connect my EPIC using MASS STORAGE mode, even if I select the MASS-STORAGE option while connecting it to USB, I dont see the Drive in my computer... I have installed drivers, tried with enabling and disabling the USB-Debugging mode... But nothing works... For transfering small files, I send the file to my gmail account and for larger video files, I am using card-reader... Please help me in getting USB-Mass Storage mode On putting ##8778# shows 1) Modem and 2) Modem selected and PDA being NOT selected in two places.... Please help Gurus...

Dear Kanaga, Just I wanted to know if your port out from Airtel to TATA has been through (After converting Airtel postpaid to pre) Was your Airtel in company name and CUG? No... I have put the process of porting my Airtel number to TI on hold as I am now thinking of porting all my (10) TI numbers to BSNL now, because of pathetic 1x plans... So as a trial I am just going to port my Airtel-Pre to BSNL-pre this month and if everything goes fine, I will port all my Tata-Post to BSNL-Post for sure... And sorry Ganesan sir, my Airtel migration from Post to Pre has happened more than 90 days back... So I now think the conversion from post to pre is TAKEN AS NEW ACTIVATION ONLY as we need to fill new CAF form... Very very SORRY sir, for confusing you earlier... BUT I AM 100% SURE ABOUT ONE THING... CUG, CORPORATE CONNECTION or ANYTHING CAN'T STOP YOU FROM PORTING... I got UPC codes for all my TI connections on CUG + My co's name... I AM SURE AIRTEL IS NOT AT ALL WILLING TO GIVE GOOD OFFER AND STILL LET GO THE CORP CONNECTION users... So go and threaten them or please complaint to ddgpg-dot@nic.in and ca@trai.gov.in (courtesy: TelecomTalk) reg their mischieves...

Be careful friend... Dont bring the balance down to NEGATIVE value... Then they will just reject the porting request (though you are already ported to other co) and ask the acceptor to stop giving service to you later...

Today I complained on Twitter @tatadocomo and they told to mail the details of recharge and number to social@tatadocomomarketing.com... Waiting for their reply...
