Wow... Vodafone has reduced Roaming rates to the level of RCom when MDA gave RCom to ADA.. But still it is better, as recently RCom has HIKED roaming rates to Rs1/Rs1/Rs1.50, which is even higher than that of Vodafone.... One thing, I CAN NEVER understand with these telecom operators (Incl our newB MTS) that Roaming SMS charges are more than RoamingSTD call charges.. Why?? These operators are fearing that we users will b0mbard their towers using ROAMING SMS, if they kept its cost low??? Even IUC is NIL in case of SMS..

Nice info Kesav ji... Verizon upgrading from DORA to VORA.. But how many Indian CDMA operators, esp those DualTechnology operators, will upgrade their network is the question..

Front of the phone (excluding buttons) looks like iPhone... But specs are very good and price is also OK.. Sure our rebranded ch!nese phone makers like Micromax wont look at these phones.. All they look at is Rs50 per KG Android phones from China and paste their company stickers on them.. They are damaging Android image than helping it to reach masses, imho... Only phones like LG O1, Samsung Galaxy 3 sort of handsets may help Android in reaching masses or atleast VFM conscious customers of India (read MOST Indians) who are waiting eagerly to try Android.. May be Olive or Huwaei also bring some decent specced and VFM Android phones to India...

Well, what may be the excuses given to delay MNP further, by cartel?? My few guesses are below:- 1) Not possible to launch at once in all circles.. So give time to launch in one circle for one year.. 2) The tyre of truck which carried the Forms for MNP got punctured.. So please launch MNP in 2020.. 3) Our SMS server can't handle too many PORT requests, so please postpone MNP till we upgrade our server by 2022.. 4) The tower workers gone for New-Year party are druken very much and please postpone MNP till their hang-over finishes at say upto 31-Dec-2011.. (The next day 1-1-2012 will bring NEXT HANG-OVER though).. 5) We need to get sooo much One Rupee Coin changes to give back to customers opting for MNP (MNP charge is Rs19/-..) and we are visiting beggars in the gates of temple, all over India.. So postpone MNP till we return say in January12011..

All your words are 100% TRUE mera Dosth... The Raigarh issue is also TRUE as I am visiting it once a month.. Wrt pvt CDMA operators, MTS seems better for now in EV-DO expansion.. Or atleast in my state (TN), MTS is faster than RCdma in increasing EVDO coverage(RCom didn't get 3G license here also)... +1 for you...

Think about we imported handset users and the firmware being m0le$ted by $print and Veriz0n with cr@pware.. Dont worry.. First root your O1 by Rajan bhai's method and get "Titanium Backup pro * root" FREE app from market and remove unnecessary cr@pware first.. Also dont forget to get Swype and AngryBirds from market... Swype to solve the texting issues in small screen...

The main problem apart from Signal and build-quality of the Fastel Modem is the SOFTWARE... It comes with very very POOR and immature SOFTWARE.. 1) Even I have found 3 to 4 silly spelling mistakes too... 2) There is option for searching signals manually, but it is NOT AT ALL WORKING... 3) The s/w 50% doesn't recognizes the SIM at first launch.. If you reinsert, then it can identify the SIM.. 4) The Statistics is also NOT working correctly... But the price is good (Rs2100 incl courier).. Their time to delivery and condition of courier/package is good.. Thats why I didnt complain and also NOT recommend anybody here..

Am eagerly waiting for details of other postpaid plans esp reg roaming and data from Sadikk bhai...

Seems like persons sitting in those responsible seats are perverts , who are having darkest desires to know others private details as much as possible.. I dont think these moves will be beneficial in any way to us, reg security issues...

I heard a rumor that BSNL is going to reduce its PPS calls back to 1p/sec for offnet too... Is it TRUE????

No pvt operator will benefit much, when they are NOT ready to charge for video-calls reasonably like BSNL/MTNL... BSNL videocalls are 70p/min for Local and Rs1.00/min for STD/ROAMING video calls... FYKI Docomo's BIGG MOUTH needs upto Rs3/min (5p/sec) for video calls and the beauty is that DoCoMo is the only private operator who said 3G will be affordable

With current network conditions and such practices, I think RCom yells at we customers indirectly as "GET THE HELL OUTTA HERE"...

At first, I worried a lot when DoCoMo lost 3G license in TN.. But now on seeing their rock-bottom 2G tariffs and sky-high 3G tariffs, I thank GOD for their loss of 3G license in TN

Ya.. MTS should take some extra care on updating their web-pages.. Even I was very doubtful, when I saw too many banners of MTS saying launch of MBlaze in Sivakasi, say "May be they are bringing the 3X-device and NOT 3X service to my town, like TataIndicom has done".. But on enquiry I got the info and got 2 connections with Launch offer..

Yes Kamal bhai.. They are having 4 BTS here in Sivakasi (all with EV-DO and 1x) whereas Tata has just 2 BTS with 1x only.. They launched with the FREE Reebok shoe offer (Rs999-Device + Rs999 FRC == FREE Reebok shoe + OneMonth UnLimited FREE EV-DO) and I got two connections.. Within Jan first week, they are going to launch in Rajapalayam and within JanEnd, they are going to launch in Virudhunagar.. That means "ALMOST BLANKET COVERAGE OF EV-DO IN OUR DISTRICT".. Whereas Tata has STILL NOT LAUNCHED EV-DO in Madurai itself <<Second largest city of TN>>.. I have already told TataGuys in their Customer meet and SME meet earlier (for past one year) about the importance of EV-DO coverage expansion, which they didn't care much, imho.. Result, I have now surrendered my photon+ connection and going to close another PhotonWhiz (1x) connection next month.. (Earlier I was about to post my exp on SME meet in Sivakasi in RimWeb, but our Local dealer <<He is also my relative in one way>> stopped me from doing so as most of the part was FULL of complaints and negligence of Tata RoTN higher officials)

I dont think jumping to WP7 will be a good decision, right now .. Atleast they should continue with MeeGo (also a Linux variant for mobile, like Android) and use S60 for mid and low end devices.. But any time better solution, is joining ANDROID..
