Unlimited roaming? Including roaming on other operator network due to absence of ChoRCom pathetic 2g network or not? sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk
-
Looks more like a network issue for me. Further to get jio join [or 4g voice app] to work flawlessly, the 4g speed in that particular place must be decent enough. If the 4g speed was very slow and network was congested, it will not work. But that is not the case for volte in volte enabled phones. Because volte works in network level, but jio4g voice works in application levels like Skype / Viber... sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk

Info on Jio Preferred / Premium numbers?
KanagaDeepan replied to cooljatt18's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
[1] NO. AFAIK eKYC for a particular sim works if the address in aadhar belongs to the particular circle the sim belongs to. That is, if you are going to use your aadhar with Indore address in Mumbai, it will not work. You at the very least need Mumbai local reference address [fingerprint of Mumbai Wala but with connection in your name]. I know for sure, because I am using one sim by this method. Further the sims are circle specific at least till now. sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk -
As I said earlier, living in tire 1 cities have lost almost all advantages now. Here in SIVAKASI - a small industrial town I am getting 30-40Mbps speed [even though I got 62+ Mbps during Jan end].. sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk

People here are afraid of even using ChoRCom in local roaming. I appreciate your guts for using them during international roaming. sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk

But the question is, why will they go the extra mile to enable them in their networks, especially when they already have their own phone co? sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk

I am able to use 4G data past 4GB cap limit per day

Just enjoy then...!! -
Even if GOD comes down and say, "Anil bhai, aisa mat karo [Anil bro, don't do that]", ChoRCom will NEVER listen... Cheating is in their DNA...

Vodafone is the most Kanjoos + Greedy operator...

Have you all tried with GPS on?

No use in fighting with ChoRCom. Fighting with them will be like fighting with pig in drainage. You will get dirty, but the pig will be enjoying the fight. Stay away from the pig as early as possible to avoid getting dirty...!! sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk

Better do the tele-verification thingy via some other volte phone, than waiting for Jio4gVoice to work, imho...

Yeah, that's why I said the jio 4g voice app is sh!t / unreliable.. sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk
-
Since it's just a data card plan only, just don't pay the bill and ask to close the connection. Use jio sim till then sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk

jio is not at all allowing jio join on volte phones. That's expected as they know that their jio join app is sh!t...sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk

Hmm... Looks like relying on Jio4gVoice app is NOT a good thing.

No ji, don't try jio 4g voice app. Just try normal volte voice call from any volte phone first. sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk

MNP to Jio 4g (Postpaid / Prepaid)
KanagaDeepan replied to ayaz_cool's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
I can feel your pain, bro.. The sad fact is, Tier 1 cities are NOT that much worth living now like some years ago.. I am feeling blessed to be in small town now. Even though the speed was much worse like 14 to 18Mbpx now -- comparing 62+Mbps speed jan/feb 2016 (when I has all of those towers in my town for my own usage), it is still more than enough for me. -
That 800MHz is band 20 and is no way related to Band 5 [850MHz]. Band 20 is mainly used in European countries, especially in rural areas. This band is a must for roaming in European countries. Other than that Band 20 is useless for us.

If it's in jwo now, you can use the sim in any volte phone now. Just check it in any volte phone for voice calls working. sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk

MNP to Jio 4g (Postpaid / Prepaid)
KanagaDeepan replied to ayaz_cool's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
That's for big corporate postpaid connections. I am talking about individual connections. Even DX Mini handles MNP now [to jio prepaid connections as jwo, even if we insist for jio postpaid]... sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk -
Lenovo A7000 doesn't support rcom's own band 5 [850MHz] 4g LTE spectrum. The signal you are connected to may be band 3 or 40 of rjio and so no data for avoiding roaming charges. Or your sim may need patching, if even 2g or 3g data is also not working... sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk

MNP to Jio 4g (Postpaid / Prepaid)
KanagaDeepan replied to ayaz_cool's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
Yes, I saw about 3000+ blue sim [blank with no number in it] cards in SIVAKASI DX Mini store yesterday and 3 eKYC devices. All queues vanished within a day thanks to eKYC system and now they have no normal orange sims. Reason being, jio has almost exhausted the 7xxxxx number series allotted to them. I just applied to port my tertiary tata GSM postpaid number [got as it's vanity number + almost sounds like my primary number] and gave them port code + my Lenovo vibe P1 barcode from my jio app + my aadhar number and no paper docs not even my photo. The whole process gets completed within 2 minutes, even the retention team from Tata called after 20 mins only. I rejected staying back. I am first one to port from postpaid number in my town. So people who don't like to wait in queue, use this method, if eKYC is available in a store near you. sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk -
MNP to Jio 4g (Postpaid / Prepaid)
KanagaDeepan replied to ayaz_cool's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
Yes, but not so soon. Even though trai has started asking opinions about reduction in IUC [releasing consultation papers and incumbents said they will reply after October auctions only], the first batch of change will come after Mar 2017 only. Reason -- after the last reduction in IUC to 14p [from 20p], trai said next reduction will be after an year or two. Already there was pending case reg IUC reduction by incumbents in court [but AVoId group is not going to win that for sure]. Further there is a talk that the initial IUC reduction will be around 5 to 9p and not 'bill and keep' policy or 0p IUC. Else it will be more than obvious that jio is favored by that move. Most probably IUC will be phased off during 2018. I personally want IUC to be reduced to 5 or 6p level and not zero. Or at least not till major telcos implemented end to end ip with volte [like jio] in major areas. If IUC is reduced to zero levels, then unlimited voice will be given by all, even small telcos. Then the call quality, especially in legacy 2g networks will become terrible and no improvement / upgradation will be done by telcos. But in end to end ip networks, it's entirely a different ball game altogether.. sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk -
JIO SIM without LYF handset

Once shifted to jwo from jpo, you can use the jio sim in any 4g device... sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk
