Nokia C3 Coming Next Week
KanagaDeepan replied to iammanuarora's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Some confusion in this thread or I am missing something... Nokia C3 is a SINGLE-SIM phone.. I was talking about Mototola EX115, which is DualSIM + DualStandBy mobile phone... -
Dot Rings Mobile Number Portability
KanagaDeepan replied to coolrajiv's topic in Mobile Number Portability (MNP)
Hetal bhai.. May be that is TRUE for small Indian operators like LOOP , Ping, even Videocon.. But MTS, Uninor, Etisalat, Docomo and even S-Tel are International BIGGIES, who are among "World's Top 20 operators in total subscribers" and they enter India to remain in that chart.. Even some of them are getting help directly/indirectly from their resp Govt also.. Even there is a rumour that Uninor and Etisalat are in talks with old players for buying their shares in bulk.. Another rumour is that MukeshAmb@ni is going to buy Videoc0n for launching 4G (in voice) thru back-door (like he entered CDMA-mobile, instead of WLL).. But it is hard to survive long with just 2G services, when 3G becomes cheaper (or 2G becomes out-of-fashion) in coming years.. But who knows, R@ja may once-again give 3G spectrum in black without auction (like in 2G), when defense FREEs the remaining 2100MHz RF waves.. So it is hard to guess the situation after few years, imho.. -

Changes In Roaming Calls For R2R Pack (Rs.88 in TN) of Reliance GSM
KanagaDeepan posted a topic in Miscellaneous
Earlier the R2R 20p onnet pack (charged @ Rs88/30days in TN) offers calls from RGSM to RLocal/RSTD/RRoamingLocal/RRoamingSTD @ 20p/min for all simple plans... But now silently, they removed the 20p/min benefit for R2R RoamingLocal/RoamingSTD calls... I have activated the Rs88 pack on 11-sep-2010, but they charged R2R calls in roaming as 1p/sec (base tariff) yesterday (RTL_CG number) and today(RCdma_TN number), both are charged 20p/min in earlier months.. Anybody have same/different experience, please post here... And I want to know, this is same for RCDMA users too or NOT??? I will give the link of this thread in RCDMA's "RCom showing its TRUE FACE now" thread also... Ambani should be mad to hire those ex-Airtel guys to his co.. They are unknowingly f-king RCom's recently earned good name and that too when MNP is coming near... I am wondering how RCom still believes those bad boys -
Changes In Roaming Calls For R2R Pack (Rs.88 in TN) of Reliance GSM
KanagaDeepan replied to KanagaDeepan's topic in Miscellaneous
After removal of roaming benefit, it is useless to go for Rs88 STV, imho.. Now the ONLY better offer is 1p SMS without BLACK-OUT days (for OLD customers atleast).. But TataIndicom and BSNL (Rs13 1p SMS) is offering SMS FREE in roaming too.. And NOW black-out day is JUST 5 days a year.. (Who knows RCom may remove BlackOutDay benefits anytime).. So imho, 1p SMS is NOT a valid reason to continue using the RCom's pathetic network and their '24x7 Badalta' offers.. Good bye RCom... OH... I have found out another mischief of RCom and that is "NOT-ALLOWING REMOVAL OF MISSED CALL-ALERT SERVICE and charging for the TOLL-FREE SMS"... More in "RCom showing its TRUE face thread" here... -
BSNL - How to recharge STVs without visiting BSNL?

2009-2010 :: Quality Of Service And Customer Satisfaction Survey
KanagaDeepan replied to kesav's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
In Chennai RGsm is OK, means NOT as bad as BSNL... In TN, call connects easily, but the quality of voice call is almost as bad as BSNL, (still little better than BSNL)... In Mah (Nagpur atleast, all your calls will be connected only after 3-5 attempts), it is worse than even BSNL.. In CG (RTL exists much before RCdma here), it is horrible in peak hours and OK during rest of time.. In Nagpur, usually the balance is not shown (USSD) after completion of a call.. Even you have to try *367# almost 10 times to get balance displayed.. This is the present condition of Mah-RGsm (am in Nagpur now).. If RGsm is not providing cheaper tariffs, there will be very few takers, due to its pathetic condition of network, imho.. -
Nokia's New Beast E7
KanagaDeepan replied to amit.shippie's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Hardware is good.. But all phone makers (not only NOKIA) are making blunder mistake by including 4" CapacitiveTouchScreen and 1200mAh battery.. Atleast the screen here is AMOLED.. Earlier communicators and top of the E-Series devices came with excellent battery life and I think this E7 will disappoint the old commie fans in this aspect, imho... -

KanagaDeepan replied to kesav's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
Everything looks good on paper... But what is the reality?? See for example in VAS, almost all big operators (mainly Airtel and RCom) are adding to subscribers without consent of the customer... What has been done still now to stop these mischieves??? Customer has to repeatedly complaint CC, Nodal, Appelate to get his money back as refund and many didn't regain their money in this process.. But thanks for sharing the infos, Kesav Ji... My only concern is, whatever the rules framed by govt/trai to protect consumer interest, is not that much respected by the biggies, imho -
I think the reviewer tried to say that INQ Chat3G is available for Rs2500/-EXTRA for the MVL price of Rs5500/-, that means cost of INQ CHAT 3G is available at Rs8000/- (Rs5500 + Rs2500 = Rs8000)...

Tata Overtakes Bsnl In Wireless Segment
KanagaDeepan replied to kesav's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
Well.. With current condition of BSNL and aggressiveness of Docomo, this is expected.. Even IDEA can overtake BSNL in coming days, if present condition of BSNL continues... But BSNL tried hard by giving FREE SIMs saying "Independence day offer", but all in vain (Mainly due to the negligence of the g0vt staffs).. -

Motorola Joining Dualsim-Dualstandby Gang... Pics And Specs Revealed..
KanagaDeepan posted a topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Source 1 Source 2 Dual SIM capable Motorola EX115 and EX128 coming this October The rumored Motorola EX115 and EX128 have just surfaced yet again. This time we get to find out the release dates and prices of both dual SIM feature phones. Those are expected to start shipping next month and should cost around 100 euro. The Motorola EX115 will come with a full QWERTY keyboard, while the Motorola EX128 will pack a touch sensitive display (its size and resolution are still a mystery) and both will be able to accommodate two SIM cards at the same time. Strangely, Motorola EX128 features some sort of a touchscreen UI - so far Motorola hasn't presented any feature phone operated by touch so the EX128 novelty factor may extend beyond its Dual SIM capabilities. Motorola EX115 and EX128 Motorola EX115 and EX128 The Motorola EX115 and the Motorola EX128 are coming in October The two upcoming devices have been spotted on the website of Germanos Romania, a European cellphone retailer, and according to it, they should become available on 18 October. The EX115 is expected to cost less than 95 euro, while the EX128 will be priced at less than 120 euro. Specs of qwertyDualSim here These are much better than Nokia's DualSim phones imho... -
Hitesh Bhai always rocks... +1 for you sir ji...

Seems OK for a rebranded Chinese handset.. First rank student in Lunatic school... It would be much better, if this handset has WiFi like Q7, though..
-
Very TRUE... This happened for my BB8830 from Verizon too... After few tricks, it was made activated... Seems programming Tata number in foreign handsets nowadays is like pain in where u know..
-
For non-working mobiles (any brand) you can goto any NokiaCare and dump them in a box for recycling.. They will reuse them by remove/separate the plastic and metal parts and use it in other products like ParkBenches/CheapFurnitures, etc.. Further for some amount of devices they collected, they plant a tree..

New Roaming Plan "logistics 199" From Tata Indicom
KanagaDeepan replied to KanagaDeepan's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Yes the 500 FREE Roaming Outgoing minutes is the speciality of this plan, which itself saves Rs250 (greater than the Rent Rs199)... Hope this plan comes to all circles... TataIndicom has given all benefits to prepaid users like 3Pe3, PPC@Rs30, CelebrationPlan.. The only benefit that is EXCLUSIVE for we postpaid users is "NICE ROAMING PLANS".. -
New Idea Daily Plans
KanagaDeepan replied to iammanuarora's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Instead of waiting for MNP, please buy Samsung DUOS259 (C+G DualSIM handset)... MNP won't come, when you are in need.. So it is better to reduce your usage on OLD number, that is use TATA-INDICOM for outgoing and get calls from Idea too.. First convert Idea number from postpaid to PREPAID, if u r in postpaid(which I hope not)... Also ask those who are calling your Idea number to note-down your Tata number, saying Tata is going to be main number in future.. By this way only, we can teach those BAD guys... I have done this for my mom's Airtel number already (shifting to Tata-Indicom).. -
What Not To Expect From 3G
KanagaDeepan replied to ravi_patent's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
VERY TRUE... Atleast for the time being... Yes, MTS keeps on rocking nowadays... They are increasing EV-DO coverage faster than Tata and Ambani.. Even there is a rumor saying that they are going to accept Foreign handsets (with me1d) readily and also allow EV-DO on them too.. (Rumors say that this is due to MTS being a russi@n co and most foreign handsets being given sub$idized by U$ c0s ) Everybody knows well that Russi@n g0vt is helping MTS in all its possible ways.. -
