This is the best roaming plan.. This plan is also available in Delhi.. You can go for it... UPDATE:- But the best ROAMING plan in India is available in RoTN now and see here for details -
Reliance GSM Prepaid Offers In Calcutta & West Bengal
KanagaDeepan replied to M.S.Rao's topic in Miscellaneous
RGSM has become MAD nowadays... They OFFER 9 STD minutes for Rs5/-, where as SimplePPM customers pay Rs4.50 for 9 STD minutes.. Even if they offer this to SimplePPS customers, then that is NOT worth, imho.. I can remember that, even costly VODAF0NE offered 10 STD minutes for Rs4/- Nowadays RCom is spoiling its recently earned good name (from Simple plans) by these silly offers.. Well all due to the Ex-AirHELL guys in their team.. I wonder, how Amb@ni is still believing those fellows??? -
AirTel's 3G Roadpath
KanagaDeepan replied to ravi_patent's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Though current 3G tariffs of BSNL/MTNL is relatively higher than that of 2G, I don't think these tariffs will follow after pvt operators started 3G services.. I mean, the third men BSNL/MTNL will increase the 3G tariff at par with Airtel/Vodafone's just like they have done with 1.2p PPS earlier... So imho, the current relatively costly 3G tariff is still cheaper than upcoming 3G tariff... -
What Not To Expect From 3G
KanagaDeepan replied to ravi_patent's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
Well, to be honest... I am NOT expecting much from 3G.. Main Reason is "Docomo or RCom has NOT got 3G spectrum in my circle".. So 3G can never be cheap in RoTN for sure.. Else I have to use 3G service of BSNL.. But I prefer "STARVE until death" than selecting BSNL_3G service in my E90 .. -

AirTel's 3G Roadpath
KanagaDeepan replied to ravi_patent's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Imho, now it is too early to predict the 3G tariffs... All customers are used to lower tariffs now (Blood smell was shown to veggie-tigers now , to be precise).. So higher tariffs may attract few users only, which itself will delay the 3G cost recovery by telcos.. Let us all wait and see... -
TRAI is NOT sleeping.. If it is sleeping, we can atleast succeed in waking it up... It is acting like SLEEPING.. No hope in waking them up, imho...

Bsnl Ev-Do Card Works In Nagpur & Raipur (In Evdo Mode) ?
KanagaDeepan replied to KanagaDeepan's topic in Other Broadband Discussion
I think you will get 1x for sure in Mumbai and Delhi in MTNL network and NO EV-DO service, even if you are in EV-DO coverage... Not sure though.. I have read this in one such forum... Thanks for the info, Saket Ji... Now I am waiting for EV-DO launch in Raipur, by either BSNL or MTS.. Then I will throw away my Photon+ postpaid connection (5GB-EV-DO @ Rs990/month - NO Rs200 DISCOUNT for existing customers ) -

BlackBerry, Skype, Gmail and now 3G come under the scanner of Indian Government
KanagaDeepan replied to faizone's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
Thanks Kesav Bhai... Those are the exact things in my mind Sir.. +1 to you.. Privacy was burried many years back because of our beloved technological advancements.. These are little pains we have to bear for enjoying the technology.. Sir, can you remember those T@LIBANS used "Steganography" to pass information between them?? I agree that Terrorists are f0ols to kill people for useless reasons.. But THEY ARE NOT ILLITERATES or WITHOUT ANY TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE... If BB (BES Included) gives them a way to communicate within them without the knowledge of Govt., they will definitely go for it, imho.. -
AirTel's 3G Roadpath
KanagaDeepan replied to ravi_patent's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
It is very very TRUE that, 3G will NOT be cheap for Airtel customers... Because even with huge competition and tariff wars, 2G is NOT CHEAP for Airtel customers.. -
Both (G-phone 588 and Videocon vc1605) are almost same with only ONE BIG difference.. The difference is G-Phone has G-Phone sticker and Videocon has its own sticker pasted on the mobile .. BlackBerry, Skype, Gmail and now 3G come under the scanner of Indian Government
KanagaDeepan replied to faizone's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
SOURCE Indian govt may extend BlackBerry deadline by two months Research In Motion (RIM) may be given a 1-2 month extension from the Indian government to find a solution giving Indian security agencies access to its corporate e-mail services, reports the Business Standard. The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) is expected to ask the government to extend the deadline as RIM needs time to provide real time access to its corporate e-mails, a senior official said. In a statement, RIM said it had offered to create an industry forum focused on supporting lawful access requirements of enforcement agencies, while preserving the information security needs of corporations and other organisations in India. RIM insists that the use of strong mobile encryption technology was not unique to the BlackBerry platform, and that any ban would be ineffective and counter-productive. -
Upward Tariff Revision :any Possibility
KanagaDeepan replied to ravi_patent's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
VERY TRUE... Airtel usually say BOOOH loudly to frighten their competitors and this one is the latest example... And NUMBERS GIVEN BY AIRTEL ALWAYS TELL LIES... In my hometown Sivakasi, Airtel once had 3000 postpaid subscribers... Now many customers have converted to Prepaid and many have disconnected and changed the service provider.. Hence now, Airtel has only around 950 active customers and most (remaining) Higher ARPU ones are already waiting for MNP.. -
Tata Docomo Introduced New Juice Up 77 (Tn Circle)
KanagaDeepan replied to sujaisundar's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Just done the Recharge and I can confirm things NOW friends... New JuiceUp 77 1) TATA Calls @ 1ps/6sec Yes... Scheme starts from first call itself.. No 1p/sec for first 120 seconds... Works for TataIndicom, virgin numbers too.. BUT NOT FOR TataWalky/Landline/CoinPhones numbers with STD code, which are charged as 1p/2sec only.. 2) Other Local @ 1ps/2sec For the first time in Docomo, they have given 1p/2sec for LANDLINES too.. 3) STD calls charged at 45ps/60sec TRUE for all onnet/offnet STD calls.. 4) 200 Free SMS Daily TRUE... For Local as well as National SMS too... A really nice plan from Docomo... Please ask me any doubts reg this plan here, my friends... -
Landline Numbers May Have 10 Digits Soon
KanagaDeepan replied to Greatest's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
Thanks for the STD codes list Tarun bhai.. I am also eagerly waiting for MNP on LANDLINES... For sure, BSNL will be the huge loser, when MNP for landlines also comes with mobiles... Either they should start Prepaid Landline services or 1p/sec tariff on LL to save themselves from MNP.. -
