When I try to connected, its say Failed... COM12 port is busy! Device manager shows COM12 for Moto Diag!

Also noticed another problem. I don't seem to have internal storage The mount storage options is greyed out, cant select that as well.

We are actually using data only when need arises and as a +ve side effect, it gives great battery life... You can keep data always ON, if you have charger+power ready and top-up frequently.... And if you want BOTH always-ON data and good battery life, get Razr-MAXX .... PEACE.... HahaI wish Razr Maxx was available when I bought the phone. I am ok with the trade off between keeping data On and loosing battery life. But yeah I dont keep background data on unless Im near a charging source!

If you had made calls then it should have shown up as voice calls. See mine for example...

12 hours is what I get after using the phone...whats the point of having an android device if you dont use data and stay connected!!! Ashok: your display was on only for 2% of the time in 3 days.so basically you have not used the phone at all all the while

I am now getting 12 hours on an average. satisfied with that. Earlier there was prolly some rogue app which was draining off battery.

How? "Stock" is limited 720p. What is different about your stock rom?

How is the battery life? Are you running cdma or gsm?

I tried ICS ROM, initially i had some issues wrt Force closure and restarts, but then it was stable. I had to revert back to stock as Video camera is not working properly (there is a lag) and i use the video camera feature a lot. :-(... Just waiting for a ICS ROM which resolves the issue of Video camera. Did you try the MiUi ICS one or the older CM9 ?

The restart issue looks like is resolved now. I had mistakenly enabled the HAC (Hearing Aid Compatibility) settings on my phone. After disabling it the phone seems to be running fine without any restarts. I also installed to logCat to track if the restart issue re-occurs, but nothing so far. Is there any need to update to latest firmware? I am already on latest firmware after I got the phone from Hetal bhai. Has anyone here tried the MiUi ICS ROM for the photon ? xda thread seems to say its stable enough.

Backed up using Titanium Backup Pro. Did factory reset after that and it did not solve the reboot issue. Now phone reboots after every 3-4 calls... This is getting SUPER frustrating now!

Any apps for backing up data? This restart issue is just getting on my nerves.now restarting even without changing network to gsm/cdma!!!

Any faced issues with Switching between CDMA > GSM > CDMA? My phone just restarts when I switch from CDMA to GSM and back to GSM. And after this past few days the phone has been randomly restarting on its own. I constantly keep the available RAM in check and its always around 40-60%. I don't have too many apps installed too! Anyone had this issue? Its getting frustrating now.

Agreed that the Epic touch beats the pants off photon.but at this point of time its within his budget. Just incase he wants to go for a phone now rather wait another 6 to 8 months for the S3 launch. Tapatalk'd from Photon4G

Why isn't anyone recommending the Photon, its well within the budget and needs!
