Happened again today! This is soo frustrating! The battery just drained from 60% to nothing. The screen went dead, when i plugged in the charger, it said there was some 5% charge. Prior to this for about 30 mins I have been having some network issues, the network is coming and going. Voice is not working and only data is working! Anyone else faced this issue ?

Conference facility does not work via the add call button right? Additionally any most recommended apps to be installed? PS: rooted the phone.phew i feel like such android noob.thingd were so simple on my WM6.1 Touch Pro Tapatalk'd from Photon4G

Thank you! It worked. Did not work the first time because i have a pattern lock on my device. I ran the batch file the second time and this time I would unlock the device the moment it turned on and it worked. Checked with Root checker basic

What ROM are you folks using ? I am on the stock 2.3.4 ROM. Additionaly any links to rooting (is it recommended or not?) for the Photon. Im a android noob so not much of an idea bout all this, I need to run the battery calibration tool so need to root it.

I just had my first issue with the photon I was using Tapatalk and then i got a sms.the moment i tried to open the sms.the screen went blank and the power button was unresponsive. After trying a few times nothing worked so I pulled out the battery.after that the phone worked but the battery was barely 5%. Prior to the freeze,there was atleast 50% charge.im confused how did the phone discharge so rapidly Tapatalk'd from Photon4G

How long is the battery lasting for you folks? I just got my Photon 3 days back. Still doing full recharge-discharge cycle. But it looks like it wont go more than 12 hours on CDMA. Unless i turn the data connection off. And this is my first Android PS: Does conference call not work on the Photon in CDMA ??

I could not find any specific thread for discussion of the various Data plans and billing rates for CDMA phones. For noobs like me this thread could prove to be a one stop solution to all queries. At present here are my queries :- I currently use a Touch Pro. I have the 5 cab installation from Dhiraj for running internet on my phone. 1. Currently my bill shows something like this Does this mean my usage is ~197.9 MB? and I have been charged about 98.95 for that data? My usage usually hovers around 1500-3000 approximately. 2. There are some Window Mobile Plans mentioned here! Are these applicable for CDMA? I was planning on getting the 200MB it seems as though I am not going to gain much from my above shown usage amount/rate 3. Is EVDO available in Reliance? If yes, how can I get it? What are the rates and speeds that one gets? 4. What is the usual Mobile Internet speeds that people are usually getting? I am getting about 150-550 Kbps as tested on Mobilespeedtest.com.

A funny problem with my TP. The display is acting weird, it looks like a 3D movie i.e. the colors look washed out. If I press the D-pad hard the display's colours get ok. I feel its a connector rather than a display issue. Any inputs? Want to fix this before I put my TP up for sale.

Hi friends, Tried searching a lot of solutions for this but nothing has worked so far. I have BSNL 3G SIM and a Nokia C2-01 phone. "IN" Phone speeds are about 2 MBps, but when I connect to the internet via Nokia's OVI suite its limited to 460 Kbps and I barely get about 120 Kbps speed when I run a speed test. Turns out that this is not a limitation of either the phone or Nokia's OVI suite. But its more a limitation of Windows for USB Modems. Any suggestions/workaround for this? I don't want to buy another USB dongle modem

Sorry for bumping an old thread! A friend of mine picked up a BB 9530. Is there any way to enable BB services on the Tata Indicom Network? I suppose it should work on the Docomo GSM network, but he needs to use it on the Indicom CDMA network! Any pointers?

For people still using stock ROM, the Stock 6.5 ROM is a good upgrade. I'm now using it for about a week and stability and speed seems decent. Only issue so far is that 6.5 has some weird issue with Threaded SMS. If anyone needs links to the ROM let me know, its available in PPC geeks.

How many people around here are still using touch pro? When I got the phone about 1.5 years back I experimented with a couple of custom roms with all of them either crashing within a month of use or sooner. So I settled for the Sprint Stock WM 6.1 rom. Was using that for more than a year without any issue at all. Anyways, felt experimental recently and tried out a Stock upgraded 6.5 ROM. How many of you have felt WM 6.5 to be a bit slower compared to WM 6.1? Somehow none of the custom roms are able to match to the speed and responsiveness of the Stock WM 6.1 rom!

Thanks for clarifying. Guess I am going to go for 200mb plan for now then EDIT: Spoke to CC for activating 200MB plan, they were asking for IMEI number LOL. Told them I am on CDMA and then they got confused and said they will get back to me in 24 hours

Thanks for clarifying. Just need clarity on #1 now. When they say usage in 10KB is 1979, does that mean its ~197MB or is it ~19MB?? EDIT: For those using EVDO, what are the Avg speeds people are getting?

Question is would you really trust Airtel with your money? Atleast I wont, maybe because I have one too many money related issues with Airtel!
