  1. Good going Hetal bhai! Is there anything we can do from our ends to help you in any way possible?
  2. Reliance Data Settings in One Simple File

Any facing any issues with internet while on roaming on their Touch Pro? For me its weird, the moment I receive the message from 5999 saying Welcome to xxxxxxx state, the internet services stop!!! But in my home state the internet services work just fine. Any ideas?
  3. Reliance Data Settings in One Simple File

A big THANK YOU for helping me out. Waiting to see what my data usage for a month is like now! And yes NUC hatao andolan is On!
  4. Reliance Data Settings in One Simple File

Sir, how do I do that? In the list of connections I don't have anything that says MobileWorld! Should I remove my mobile number and pwd? EDIT: Also are there any changes in the rates if I am on roaming. PS: I am on the simple99 plan.
  5. Reliance Data Settings in One Simple File

I've done most of the stuff that was mentioned in this thread. Set up a connection with "My Work Network" option having wapgw.ricinfo.com as proxy for Socks and HTTP. And created a new connection in My ISP that dialled #777 and had my phone number as username as password. So internet works without a hitch and the speed is pretty satisfactory too. But I am confused about how am I going to be billed? I checked out this link My link and 'assumed' that I will be charged as per the default plan. Now when my monthly bill came in I was shocked to see that my data had been charged in minutes!!! I was keeping tabs of the data usage and it had amounted to about 30mb for the 15-20 days that I had used internet. So I naturally assumed that I would be charged at 50p per MB rate and would have costed me 15/- Rs . But intead I've been charged for usage in minutes and the its has amounted to 1600/- Rs. What's going wrong here? And going by their charges in minutes I doubt if their unlimited plan is going to be any worth!!!
  6. Some Questions On Palm Pre

I've decided to go for the Palm Pre after much deliberation. Just a few questions regarding procuring the Pre. Two of my friends are returning from the US and Canada, the one returning from Canada is returning earlier. In Canada the Pre is sold through Bell and in the US through Sprint. - Can I get the Bell supplied phone to work here? - If answer to the above question is no, then from Sprint I can buy the phone with a plan, as buying just the phone is more expensive by about 400$. So I can get the phone under the minimum monthly rental plan. Should I go ahead?
  7. Some Questions On Palm Pre

*Bump* Any answers available for my previous questions?
  8. Some Questions On Palm Pre

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I have few questions of my own. I tried reading the thread on things to know before buying a Palm Pre, but I really did not understand much as I am technically challenged. 1. Can I buy Palm Pre in the US from Sprint and get that to work here in India? If yes, are there anythings I need to keep in mind before ordering one? 2. Is there a GPS receiver in this or does this have a A-GPS i.e. GPS will not function if there is no network. 3. I need to use this phone for Reliance, I assume this can be done? 4. WiFi/Internet/etc features can be used right? 5. Amongst the list of features available on Palm's website, how many features do no work if I have to use this phone over Reliance? For now I have only these questions, will have a few more once the above questions have any sort of solutions
  9. Hi, My first post in this forum have been a guest reader for a few months now. Anyways I had a few queries about the 755p, please pardon me if its already been answered before in this thread! 1. Does this work with any problems in Reliance? 2. Can I surf the internet using this phone? Does internet work in roaming? 3. Does the GPS work? If yes, will GPS work in no network zones? Can maps be loaded onto this? 4. How is the battery life? 5. Incase I don't like the phone and consider selling it after 3-4 months of use, what resale value can I expect considering I buy it from Saadik for 12.5K now. 6. Compared to the HTC Mogul, is this larger/bulkier than it in anyway? 7. How is the performance compared to the Mogul? For now I have only these questions, would be glad if someone can help out. :-) EDIT: For my requirements of a GPS and Internet phone, would the BB 8830 be a better choice instead? I just noted that 755p has a A-GPS, I actually need something that can point out locations accurately would be preffered.
