Sorry sorry fevin-raj and other friends who read my reply. The battery backup is only for 150 hours and NOT 150 days. I wrongly typed it as 150 days and corrected it now. I also thanking fevin-raj for indicating my mistake. Thank you.

I am also interested in this handset and like to hear reviews. One thing I found disappointed is its battery backup, it is only 150 hours, I am satisfied when the battery backup is 240 hours(10 days) or higher.

Evdo Enabled Smart Phones From Mts Soon
KAPILKDEV replied to ravi_patent's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
MTS provides good and economical service. Now they are going to bring advanced handsets. -
In my experience 'fly' brand phones are not good. About 2 years back I bought fly V80i DUO (CDMA+GSM) phone for Rs 4800. It was the worst phone I used (and also I seen) in my life. The phone restarts (turning OFF and then turning ON automatically) every 3 to 6 hours, and sometimes the phone hangs lighting up the display and key pad with out any response to any key and we have to remove the battery to exit the situation. The start up tone of the phone was an irritating loud music and when the phone restarts in the night every one sleeping will wake up. The start up tone can not be turned off and it will ring even when the phone is in silence mode. The phone's ear piece speaker volume was very low and unclear,so we can't hear any thing in noisy area and requires to turn on loud speaker. There was some volume in the loud speaker, but due to the unclear and hazy sound (even in CDMA to CDMA call) there is no use with the loud speaker. And the phone was very slow including dialing, i.e. suppose we are dialing the number 9, it takes a bit of second to display the number 9 after dialing; and when dialing a 10 digit number in hurry only a 3 or 5 digits are entered without sequence. Also the phone was very poor in signal reception and will not show range in fringe areas. The things I found good was light weight and slim phone, rubber like body cover so will not slip from hand or fall from a jerking table and can keep in a moving vehicle's seat. Battery was only 800 Milli ampere hours but will last for 2 days with 2 SIMs active.

I suggest you Samsung Corby TV. I am not used it but heard that a good OMH handset.

Sistema Wants To Offer 3G Cdma @7Mbps
KAPILKDEV replied to ravi_patent's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
Waiting for CDMA 3G -
Yes! You can use the battery if it fits correctly in the battery socket and also the battery terminals are touching correctly with the same polarity. If the mAh (Milli Ampere hour) is high the talk time and standby time also increases.

I too think there is no solution

Tata Indicom Shops Are Closing In Kerala
KAPILKDEV posted a topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Tata Indicom Shops (True Value Shops & True Value Hubs) are closing in Kerala due to low benefits. In places like Kothamangalam (Ernakulam District), Chalakudy (Thrissur District) all tata indicom shops are closed. A shop keeper in Tata Indicom True Value Hub in Thrissur town told that his business is very bad, running with full losses, no one taking new connection and recharging (Top Up) is also very rare now a days. He pointed out that Tata Indicom True Value Shops have no permission to sell Docomo but as he is a franchisee (True Value Hub) he can sell Docomo connection and there is some benefit from Docomo but not to a good level. He added that all True Value shops and Hubs are suffering losses and all of them will close soon. I have spent about one hour in his shop and seen that no customer visited his shop in that time except me. As I am a Tata Indicom user (Phone Numbers 9249736222, 9249835487,9249292560,9249385303), I am suffering a problem that Tata indicom recharge coupons (top up cards) are not available in open markets except a very few shops in the town (they have only a few coupons of low value like Rs 25). Shop keepers in the open market are giving a disgraceful smile or headshake while asking Tata indicom recharge coupons. They are saying that no one asking these coupons and they are not keeping in stock. But in the mean time I have seen that MTS CDMA exclusive shops are opening in different parts of the state. All friends in rimweb please write about the condition of Tata indicom shops and your experince while recharging indicom connection in different circles. -
MTS Mblaze Now Available Pan India!
KAPILKDEV replied to SumitVerma's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
In Kerala MTS is not using the network of TATA INDICOM or RELIANCE because in some places MTS has full signal strength where Tata or Reliance has no signal. -
