Mi Protect is available at ESC of Mi. At Mi forum the price was quoted as 549 and said has to be taken within a week of purchase one of our members quoted it at 1099 within 30 days go to a ESC nearby and get it done

I will suggest to buy as it provides protection against dropped and water spill. It is really good when you have kids and otherwise also. I wasn't aware of it when I placed an order for it. However will opt for the same after receiving the phone but have to pay more. Is it available separately as the FAQs say needs to purchased along with the phone . In case you can get it separately let me know how to go about it

OMH sim by default is not evdo enabled you need to contact Reliance customer care to activate HSD there is separate thread which talks about HSD activation via sms go thro it and you will find all the information you need.You dont need any app to see EVDO 1 X signals they will automatically pop up once you insert the sim.Enter APN settings in the mobile and once HSD is activated you are good to go
