That mostly depends on Sim availability I got my mifi day before and I was given blue pouch without number and number was allotted post application process.

Jio4gvoice had issues in making calls in my HTC One M8 with jio sim in it but the same phone is able to make calls when i connect it to Jio Mifi is this deliberate blocking of foreign handsets by jio?

With ekyc process the entire activation procedure can be fully automated reducing load on back end . Regarding network choking I am not so sure about that. The major problem jio is facing right now is mis communication or lack of it and poor inventory support. Mr. Ambani talks about 1 million customers a day but stores get hardly 50 sims. Don't port your primary number to jio until the primary issue of inter connectivity is resolved. With minimum 7 out of 10 numbers being in AVoId group it would be really frustrating not to make calls to your contacts n receive calls too Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

It is a hand in glove work digital employees give away sims they get to distribute to retailers who sell at premium and given a certain commission to stores. As a purchaser most people don't mind spending 100-500 when they get sim across the counter given the long term benefits. It is obvious the entire fiasco is due to Jio and Digital mismanagement . The most buggy app I have come across unless you allow it to record calls won't allow you to make calls even after granting permission never makes calls always unable to establish call error but other number without a ring gets a missed call. True on majority issues Bade Bhaiya is the architect beyond the cdma 4g mess.Younger one is just finding ways to come out of financial mess he got chorcom into even after looting customers.Porting would be individual choice since AVoId cant persist with call blocking for long as already TRAI has denied the request of hiking IUC charges dismissing their claims and logic. Like you said if people dual sim volte phones and Bade Bhaiya hits the master stroke of MNP many people would shift to Jio leaving AVoId group. Free calls aur data kisko aacha nahi lagtha. Post the free period if Jio services not satisfactory people still have the MNP tool. But only one thing is it is a two edged sword if by chance Jio services go bad ( not possible though is my view) AVoId will fleece customers. Just for the sake of we mango man customers hope Jio continues its revolution forcing AVoId to scale down and offer better services at cheap rates so we as customers can have the better of two worlds
