Just to shift a mobile like HTC One M8 for absence of VoLTE doesn't make sense many of the handsets listed in JWO are non VoLTE mobiles too. Hence jio has to work it out how to accommodate such users. If having a VoLTE based mobile is the only way to hold on jio network I'd rather stay on with chors AVoId rather than spending a good amount on a VoLTE handset Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Even cc have no clarity on jio join usage for calls. As per official release jio apps will remain free till 2017 but data used by them shall be chargeable so if that's the case it would become costly calling. Need more clarity Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

ARPU dropped becoz they promised a lot n delivered zero. All happy cdma customers were cheated and left wanting in the name of 4g upgrade. If they quote this as a reason for stupid 4g they are to blame not the customers. If they ensured a smooth transition for existing cdma customers they could have achieved a lot. I have a query with regard to the app. For non volte mobiles jiojoin is the only option to make calls.Will the data consumed by jiojoin be chargeable from the data balance or be free like data used for volte calls

Height of dada giri from Air Hell wont connect to even toll free numbers of jio customer care nor regular jio number even from landline. Unless this resolved we cant enjoy true unlimited in jio as one out of 5 numbers would be in airtel network. -

Mine is a Telsta Australia model. Unfortunately Jio is not allowing code generation for non Indian mobiles. My HTC had only one signal bar and jio join unable to make calls my suggestion if you have anyone who has a jio sim. Slightly off topic was wondering if there is any android box which I can get to work with old crt tv to stream jio play channels till the free period. Jio fi and android tv box for my crt I can do away with my set top box at least till December 2016. TIA Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

After confirming if the jio sim can be tried on other mobiles with cc tried it on HTC one M8. Signal strength was poor compared to RN3 at the same if I take it out in open was getting full signal maybe band or phone issues. Data was working fine. But no call went thro tried usual method failed as expected. Tried via jio join it wanted permission to record calls else never even dialled. Once given permission tried calling a few numbers didn't connect saying rich calls can be connected only in jio network. Anyone facing such issues in non VoLTE mobiles? Gone is the time when Jio was giving Prepaid sim with pre alloted numbers. The new Blue pouch which is offered doesnt have any number allotted.It is system assigned during application processing. That answers your explanation. My query was simple jio.com has been saying mnp is available since sept 5th but both cc n twitter handle say it is yet to announced and to watch jio.com for updates. What kind of update since jio says otherwise was my question. -

Seems jio has taken Made in India campaign very seriously I have a handset which was purchased outside India was unable to generate code when I checked with cc they say handsets purchased in India will only work in jio for now. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -

Correct me if I am wrong for non VoLTE 4g phones calling still works without jio join app. Just like regular 3G mobile data gets cut when you have an incoming. Or is it like you are forced to use jio join for calls if VoLTE is not available Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
