Samsung is launching numerous numbers of handsets daily...but they dont bother to give good service(in software/firmware segment) for most of them.Samsung launched the first cdma omh handset Galaxy pop cdma(sch i559) few months earlier but dont release the firmware update for this much hyped & advertised cdma omh handset till now..it till stucks with android v2.2 froyo.Samsung does not providing android v2.3 GB update for sch i559 & whenever someone asked them about the update,samsung does not spend a single word regarding that. Every customer who bought this handset from samsung with their hard earned money,have the right to know about it.I already mailed them & asked them to clearly mention that are this sch i559 will got android v2.3 or not?if yes then when?& if not,then why? We all know that google & some mobile brands including samsung commited to give firmware update to the handsets launched by them(upto 18 months).. So why samsung is silent here???? As any custom roms of CM or MIUI is not available in webworld for sch i559 till now...so the only hope to get v2.3 gb is official update itself... Rimweb Guru's & other rimwebians pls throw some light on this matter....

MTS will soon launching a new service called Mobile as Point of Sale( mPOS). mPOS user have to put the mPOS attachment (portable card reader) on an MTS Smartphone or tablet through a 3.5 mm jack.They have to swipe the credit card or debit card, enter transaction amount. The total bundle (MTS MTag 3.1, mPOS attachment & One year Data plan) would be priced apprx 3000 INR to 4000 INR. @ rajanmehta Every operator are here to loot money from us....airtel,vodafone & reliance are the "Guru's" in this aspect....atlist u got ur money back from MTS....But most of customers of the big operators nvr got the money back... @kanaga... have u personally used MTS?I am using MTS for more than 3 yrs & they never deduct a single extra paisa in per second plan...

I am using samsung galaxy pop cdma omh android handset(model no.SCH i559) with my mts cdma connection. At first I was facing problem to transfer my number to omh ruim due to unavailability of blank omh ruim cards from MTS. But after waiting for 6 months i got my number transferred in omh in the month of july. After getting omh i was very happy because i thought that i am now able to access 1x & evdo (MTS evdo is available in my area) internet service on my samsung galaxy pop which worth 9000 bucks for me.. but all of my expectations were crashed when i am unable to access internet on my pop cdma with mts omh sim, i contacted with MTS service staffs & was able to know that my 1x internet service is activated from MTS's end.. but till now i am not able to access internet (neither 1x nor evdo) with my galaxy pop n mts omh sim.. but to my surprise, i am able to access internet with that particular mts omh card in other samsung omh cdma handset, i.e.metro tv (model no.M519).. i tried with other omh mts ruim's in my galaxy pop android handset but not able to connect internet with any of them also but all those sim cards are functional for internet in other samsung omh handsets..when i am trying to connect any type of internet activity in my galaxy pop with mts omh card, the error shows "data connectivity problem..server failed to communicate".. I tried with different manual omh settings but the problem remains same..But I am able to surf/access internet service in my samsung galaxy pop cdma handset with Reliance India mobile(RIM) omh ruim cards normally.. with rim omh card i am always able to access internet in my samsung galaxy pop cdma handset from the first day of my purchase of galaxy pop cdma without any extra configuration & harassment.. but after long wait I did not find any solution regarding my problem neither from mts nor samsung' end.. i dont know who is the culprit behind this problem(the handset manufacturer or the service provider or any other)but I just want solution for my problem.. RIM Guru's & other members pls help me to find any solution asap... i am really fed-up now...I already sent emails to MTS CC,Nodal, Appellate,CSD Chief,Twit with Samsung & done two complain by phone with samsung...but nothing get solved till now...

MTS India launched few attractive plans for mobile evdo customers in few circles... We can use it on evdo enabled mobiles & in pc also..4 plans was launched.. MTS introduced unlimited 1X data pack for 19 INR only.....pack validity is 3 days......it will work on all omh 1x enabled handsets....1X data is pre activated on all MTS number....no monthly packs are available till now......

Some users are really frustrated regarding the mobile data plans of MTS as those are only available in WB/KOL..... But at list MTS providing the affordable data plans for some of its customers,where reliance n tata are not providing any easily usable n affordable data plans for any circle.....something is always better than nothing......

@jags... which is the software version of ur new pop cdma?is it on gingerbread or froyo 2.2.1?

I am also using pop cdma on MTS n/w...i am from Midnapur... Kies is not showing any gingerbread update for me....& local samsung service center told me that there is no gingerbread update available for pop cdma till now....but according to u,its available...so pls post a Screenshot of the kies(which showing gingerbread update for pop cdma i559 is available) for me....I want to show that picture to my local samsung service center... (to take a ss from ur pc... press print screen button on ur keyboard)

At last RIM introducing few usable plans for mobile 1x/evdo users… But plans are not pocket friendly & not for Aam Aadmi(because its only for post-paid)….they will offer 500mb@199 INR…Its very costly.MTS’s mobile data(hsd/1x)plans are much more affordable & better….hope MTS will also introduce them pan India basis..But something is better than nothing….so atlist RIM users have some option now….Thanks to Hetal Ji & Rimweb users…all credits goes to them for forcing Reliance to introduce these plans…
