There is NO email client present in this phone. Only connectivity option is a basic browser. There is tabbed browsing and you have to open mails in browser itself. Any ways browser is pretty basic.

Hi all... Got my handset & its decent one with may features.. Some quick points.. 1. Touch screen experience is OK but maybe i am using Samsung Galaxy Spica too so compared to it, can be rated as 7/10. 2. Browser is inbuilt and called as POLARIS & it has tabs too for multiple sites. I dont find anywhere to install java based apps. 3. Phonebook is good with search on numbers too along with name. 4. SMS features spam which is imp for me. Can block sms based on number or text filters. 5. Same for calls too. Can block calls from specific no. SMS on reject also available. I am yet to experiment it fully. Will post detailed review till weekend. @hitesh, I have OMH Card but we dont have EVDO coverage in our city yet so cant comment on it. Maybe if i happen to visit any EVDO zone will update then.

Dhirajji is right.... I've used 6275... its a good handset but far behind blackberry or htcs which u can get at around same cost. check dr muffadals blackberry 8830 silver. It's a good deal..

Hello.. I am using samsung galaxy spica (android ver 2.1) I have some issues with dialer as below: 1. I feel the default dialer is bit laggy with no options to turn of vibration on key presses. 2. On opening the dialer with phone key, it starts with Call Logs & not the dialer. Then I have to select dialer manually. 3. In dialer, there is no option to search names through Alphabets or T9. The only search it applies is to numbers. I mean, if i deal 98230, all numbers have 98230 in them will be filtered. So, to call specific person, I have to go in Contacts, turn keypad on, then search for a person. Its toooo long process. 4. I use Dialer one. Even that seems tooo slow. By slow, I mean if I type Sunil on numpad (79645), it will take 1-2 sec before displaying names. I remember of using Resco for this & till date that was the best dialer I had ever used. It was fast like a rocket. Finding some person or calling certain number in Android is really pain, atleast for me. Has anyone found some workaround for this issue or every one facing same problems in other android handsets like Hero, Moment, etc... Thanks in advance.

Dhirajji thanks... NUBDIALER is better than dialer one but not as fast as Resco (which only works on winmo) Spica has 800mhz processor... Does ram too matters that much??

You need to visit Samsung Service centre for the same. I had did mine.. It just took 1 hr to upgrade to 2.1 You can check my post on Samsung Galaxy Spica here

Hello.. Can anyone suggest best GSM handset which handles call recording (BEEPLESS) effectively?? I tried symbian phones with paid softwares like Ultimate call recorder, total recall, etc but even though they will suppress beep for other party, still there is beep on my phone. Also, if i select option to suppress beep at both ends, then the recording is not clear. Cost is not an issue but i want it desperately. Thanks in advance.

Thanks.. Seems better option.. Just clear some doubts:- 1. Since it is a world phone, can i configure TATA Indicom + BSNL on it to be worked either at a time? 2. Battery Life with GSM as well as CDMA? 3. Agreed that there are no beeps. The one which i m using in symbian suppresses beeps but still the beeps are audible to ME (not the other party). I want NOT A SINGLE BEEP anywhere. Just confirm it. Any offers (sellers) for TP2 (Unlocked - World phone) - I wud prefer BRAND NEW. Regards.

I tried in call recorder on diamond... it was not working perfectly... i dont want to use speakerphone for recording. As sumeet said, TP2 can record perfectly, have u checked it? that too without speaker phone?? if yes, do u have any TP2 (GSM)? cost?

Hello friends.. I have used google maps latitude... as common man said, the location can be updated thru AGPS which works via GSM's cell sites. In case of CDMA, AGPS is not perfect as in my case, even when i was in Jalgaon, google maps showed that I am in mumbai. That was with TATA Indicom (CDMA) + HTC Diamond. To get exact location, i had to switch phone's GPS ON & then it showed correct location. TO sum up, a GSM phone with AGPS or GSM / CDMA phone with GPS can update the location to google latitude & we can see where the person is on google maps. But for this, google maps must be started on phone & employees can easily turn the app. One more point to be noted, i had seen some apps for WINMO as well as ANDROID where we can get phone location thru SMS as mentioned in previous posts. Thats best..

AFAIK, if I convert from Post to Pre, it is not possible to convert again from Pre to Post in TATA atleast in Maharashtra... Any views??
