facing same prob...

there is a booklet inside every box containing the phone no of all service centres. when tried calling them up, to my surprise that was a list of service centres for intex computers / lcd's etc n not for intex mobiles. So difficult to say that they really have service centres in all cities.

The problem with Intex is they have very few service centre.... The only difference (i see) between china sets n intex sets is intex provides warranty but sadly they hardly have any service centre for the same. Currently trying hard to send 1 phone to a service centre to claim under warranty service

even i've faced this prob many times.. mostly this happens for 'idea' & 'airtel'!!! the TAT by giftmate / paypal team is also very very poor.

Anyone any idea on the following 2: 1. Will the existing plan (like free gprs) still remain the same / it'll get over written with this if recharged? 2. Is this circle specific / available all over india? Thnks

AFAIU, What u r looking out at is to get the photocopies of ur documents back (not the originals, right?) Even if u get those back, how can u b sure that it won't b misused? It can always b if he wants.... Not a big deal 4 him to get 100 photocopies of ur documents. Secondly, police will help u when u r ethically correct. Here in this case u don't seem to b.... Police could have helped u if u would have been dealing with a registered agent. What u should look forward is mainly to get ur money back, which u can only get by visiting that lady's place....

I agree with Pankaj, it has 100+ storing capacity. Better recheck the msgs in other folders like 'sent msgs', etc & count the msgs present in those folders as well, if any.

Call customer care and ask them for your number,they will give u the number after verfiying some personal details If it's a GSM handset, then you can get your mobile no by dialing *1#; for CDMA don't know altough.. Does anyone know about CDMA?

try switching off the screensaver, motion sensor, etc. Also select appropriate sim selection (for e.g. if you are just using a CDMA card in it, select 'ONLY CDMA') I have used this phone for a week, with the battery that comes along (not Nokia) having only 1 CDMA card inserted & believe me it gave me almost a day's backup.

dude try 1122 or 1100, few chinese make phones have this as their default code.

there's a low cost LG handset which will cost you only 1.5k; LG - GB165. It has a wap browser

i am not sure abt other operators, but Reliance. I had recharged my RCDMA for 11/- sms pack & it had got recharged successfully.

If u ok w/o camera / entertainment stuff - then BB8830 Would b the best i blv else samsung corby speed. BTW Nokia 6275 is another good option
