Yes,IT'S a concept,stall on the drawing board perhaps.but definitely a very intuitive concept.nobody before has thought of such a phone.Let's see when it comes to the market.

If both completely stop cdma then what will happen to the already established infrastructure?even reliance is rapidly spreading IT'S cdma network where wasn't previously.had it been preparation for closure they wouldn't bother to increase their foot print in cdma,rather they would spread their gsm notwork.so i think they will not stop cdma completely.either they will sell it to somebody or may provide only voice services through it.everything will be clear once the bidding process for 3G spectrum starts.

This phone is very highly priced compared to Htc touch pro.surely competition will bring down price of these costly phones.otherwise these are out of reach of most people.

Whatever it may be,the gsm service cann't beat cdma when tariff plans are concerned.here in ORISSA the postpaid plans of cdma reliance are far far better than th's gsm counterpart.whether this will change after the pan india roll out of gsm remains to be seen.also there is no rworld in reliance gsm.so he it isn't launched in gsm the cheap browsing option available in cdma for a paltry sum of 249 rupees a month will be lost by all smart phone users who will switch to gsm.

This is really a very good news.now people will get one more option.only time will tell whether it will surpass opera or not.

In 3G gsm only wcdma is developed by qualcom.all others like HSDPA and UMTS are open,i believe.whether i am correct or not i don't know.

It seems eventually qualcom is losing out due to its monopolistic policy.where cdma requires royalty to be paid to qualcom at every stage,gsm is free.it had to face this situation sometime or other.Let's see what course reliance and tata are following.the gsm rollout of reliance seems to be a step in that direction.

As described above this is a simple query and nothing else. Since long this question is nagging me, but i had refrained from asking it here fearing kept it should start some new controversy. but i couldn't suppress my curiosity and hence posting it now. first of all i want to clarify that this isn't an accusation. It's a simple query. before joining rim web i had no experience of any forum. so i had no knowledge of it's rules also. when i was relatively new to the forum i posted a reply in capital letters not knowing that it is illegal. In the consequence a warning tag got attached to my name. Since then the warning has reduced to zero but the tag still persists. Although i post rarely, I've gone through all the topics regularly as this forum has tremendously enhanced my knowledge, that i openly acknowledge. my point is, while going through the posts i come across many posts which have been posted in capital letters. seeing this i wonder whether the rules have changed or the moderators have become lenient. in either case, i think, the warning tag attached to my name should have been removed since long as others are not even being intimated that this is not legal let alone warning. I hope to get a reply soon from the moderators of whom i think very highly. again i repeat, this is not an accusation to anybody, i just want to clarify my doubt. so nothing otherwise should be understood. Sorry that i have posted this in a new topic. but i have done this only to draw your quick attention. if there is any specific topic for this, please merge this with that.

A colour phone @ Rs 499 is very good.it will tempt even more people to in for a mobile phone.but what about the quality of the phone?

Hello everybody.good morning.i want to know 2 things.1 can one make voice chat with anybody using gtalk or any other chat client right from the mogul or treo 755p?2 does winzip work on any of the above phones and is it possible to download any zip file directly ty the phone and them unzip it on the phone itself?techies please enlighten.

You are absolutely correct my dear friend mufaddal.all companies are now thying to make atleast like an iphone,if not better.whether we like it or not,IT'S true that iphone has set a new trend and al are trying to follow it.also it has moulded the mindset of people in such a way that people will definitely compare every new smart phone with the iphone untill somebody succeeds in making a new device which betters the iphone.till then there will be only iphone and iphone only everywhere.

Very correct.let him sleep and enjoy his dream.he will wake up only after the new entrants expand their coverage in whole of india.reliance is yet to cover a large area of ORISSA.where as voda has already covered whole of the state although it has started IT'S services only recently.i think others will soon leave reliance behind he they don't change their attitude.

As nokia has bought out symbian and also they have come to an agreement with qualcom,they should bring out some truely premium handsets based on series 60 and above.instead they are coming out with the same s40 phones which are not even at par with their gsm counterparts.perhaps they want to exit from cdma segment.

This phone has also got fm radio where as Htc phones do not have it.

Then Htc itself is to blame for the absence of fm radio on almost all IT'S devices.even low end phones are having this feature,but such expensive smart phones are surprisingly lacking it.in my opinion it should be there with facility to recording directly from the fm radio.

It seems that wm os also supports fm radio.otherwise samsung omnia would not have it.today i was going through a comparison between mogul and omnia and found that fm radio is there in the samsung phone which the mogul lacks.so there must be some ways to activate it on Htc phones also.techies can anybody throw some more light on it?
