Telecom Commission Approves Reliance Communication’s Gsm Foray
situ1962 replied to sajokj's topic in Reliance Communications
That's rightly said.I agree with you.airtel..vodafone and idea have formed a cartel and are planning to cheat us.only reliance can take on them.in the 5 states where it is providing gsm service,it is the cheapest.ro we can hope of getting better service at cheaper rates compared to others.this way others will also be forced to slash rates. -
Perhaps these handsets will be sold under classic brand.one thing i want to know,is the costlier one a smart phone?

6600 is symbian based series 60 phone, whereas 6275 is a java based series 40 phone.so the difference is in the os.java based phones don't support any software except small applications like games and small utility applications.sis or other files are not supported.but in it's own way this phone is better than 6600.

Broadband- Surf While You Make Your Move
situ1962 replied to copperco2's topic in Other Broadband Discussion
I think it's not possible.otherwise all operators would not be clamourg for spectrum.everybody knows the speed of gprs.so i think till 3g is launched broad band on the go is not possible for any operator, not even for cdma operators'techies can throw more light on this issue. -
Bharti, Vodafone-essar Under Mrtpc Scanner
situ1962 replied to Ramchi's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
This is a very welcome move by MRTPC.really these big companies are collusing creat such mischief, not only in telecom sector but also in others.they should be brought to book by the revelent law enforcement agencies.whatever may be the outcome of it,atleast companies will think twice before resorting to such practices in future.let's hope for the best. -
Unfortunately you cann't deactivate it.the facility is in built in those lg handsets.but you can end the incoming call simply by pressing the end key instead of right soft key.this way the call will be rejected and no sms will be sent saving you on your sms bill.

Previously i was in the rs25 pm plan.but sometime in december i opted out of it and soon it was withdrawn.but then i didn't have this phone.later in feb when i purchased this i had to in for the rs249 pm plan as i have to use internet heavily and i can do so where and when required sitintu going for a computer.using opera mini i can surf all the sites i need to without having to pay any extra amount.in addition i can use unlimited r world, except sms services,my tunes and mms.i don't own a computer.so earlier i had to expend around 400 rupees pm at cyber cafe.so rs249 pm is cheap for me.
-
The rs 25 pm plan has been discontinued.those who are still in it can enjoy unlimited use of wap in it through opera mini if they are using wap enabled phone.also they can browse through computer using r world for the same amount.for details search the forum.now one can opt for the rs 249 plan where in one can enjoy unlimited r world usage(excluding my tunes and 1234 services though) in addition to unlimited wap usage.

The rs20 has been withdrawn w e f 20th dec 07.i don't know about the other plan although i am also a customer of it since long.

Congrats.great work.keep it up. -
Pl try this.switch off the phone, then remove the battery and then reinstall it and try again after switching on the phone.if there any problem other than network,it will most probably get resolved.

As there has been a long collaboration between lg and reliance let's hope to see this handset in reliance.

Reliance Communications To Start Providing Dual Band Handsets !
situ1962 replied to Arun's topic in Reliance Communications
Hey! Reliance people, are you sleeping?wake up man.pdf how the world is changing all around you.every ornpator is striving to provide better and better technology to their subscribers and spreading their network.but unfortunately reliance is not.they are lagging behind all in this regard.at least in orissa the network coverage is pathetic.while bsnl, airtel and the new aircel all have spread their network to even very small towns, reliance hasn't been able to cover high ways, not to speak of small towns.and the hand set issue, all of us know.every other operator is bringing latest feature rich handset and providing to their customers at reasonable price, but reliance is still obsessed with low end handsets.even tata is activating other foreign handsets in their network.where as handsets like ppc 6700 are grossly overpriced.if this continues the company will surely see the backs of most of its loyal customers like us. -
Any handset model number with an i suffix indicates that it is gps enabled.that is the only difference.but global positioning system is network dependent'reliance is not giving this facility.only air tel has this service recently.i think the software is loaded by the manufacturer.it cann't be loaded by anybody else.
